My wife and I were extremely disappointed when we contacted this vet for an appointment. My wife made the initial contact and tried to get an appointment for our dog that has had a bump reoccur on the side of her face. A smaller bump has also appeared by the bump that reoccurred. Our groomer notified us about both bumps when she groomed our dog today. My wife told the receptionist that our dog had been to a vet in Jackson county in November about the original bump. My wife told the receptionist that she was not happy with the vet that we went to. Well, the fact is that we really liked the vet that saw our dog but the clinic was dirty (soiled seats in the waiting room, urine on the floor, filthy base boards and doors in the waiting room and exam room). The receptionist told my wife that their practice did not see animals for 2nd opinions with people that had established vets. My wife told the receptionist that the vet that we had been with for over 20 years (in gwinnett county) had recently retired and that she did not have an established vet. Receptionist told my wife that they were booked out to the middle of December. That ended their conversation. I was taken back by the conversation my wife had. I called the vets office. Talked to an individual different than the person that my wife talked to and explained what had happened. Long story short, I was told that this would be a 2nd opinion (not true because a 2nd bump has appeared on our dogs face) and that we had an established vet (also not true) and they were not taking new patients. I told the person that I talked to that I was very disappointed in their customer service and if they were not taking new patients, to just state that up front. Must be nice to have more business than you can handle.

They are great. They also do boarding if you schedule in advance. They book up quick if you wait until that weekend.

We have been going to Shannon Vet Services for 5 years and they are hands down the best! Their entire staff is caring, knowledgeable and really treat your pet like family. I don't know where to even begin with how great and amazing Dr.Martha Shannon has been to myself and My Allie.Allie has been sick twice now and I called after hours and within no time I received a call back from her after hours with instructions on what to do and she even went as far as calling in a prescription for Allie while she was at church.To me that deserves more than 5 stars.What that tells me is that she is a very caring Vet who has your fur babie' s best interest in mind.Absolutely amazing.I will be bringing my girl here as long as she lives no doubt.The office is a very neat and country setting and very clean and family friendly. I WOULD ADVISE YOU AND EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO COME HERE AND LET DR.SHANNON TREAT AND HEAL YOUR PUP!!!Also a very affordable place with their own online pharmacy with great products and great prices.

I couldn't even say enough good in this short little paragraph. I love the fact that they CARE. It isn't all about the money. When we had to help our Dalmatian cross the rainbow bridge, Dr. Shannon sat right on the floor with us and then buried her on their property. When our little Rat Terrier was viciously attacked by our neighbor's dog, Dr. Wylie (?) performed emergency surgery on her and had her ready to go home in several hours and the costs was minimal. I wouldn't consider taking my dog family anywhere else.

The team at Shannon Veterinary Services is absolutely the best. The compassion and professionalism the entire staff have shown me when I have had to make the hard decisions to put my very aged kitties to sleep was comforting. The service I receive at Shannon Vet Services is by far the best care my pets have ever received. The front desk staff is wonderful and the vets are some of the best I have ever been to. We have been through many serious medical conditions over the years and each time my pet has gotten the best care possible. The vets are knowledgeable and I trust them completely. I won't go anywhere else. Quality, compassionate care at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them !

My fur baby Max was a rescue (dog). I’ve only had him a few months. Well anyhow he got ahold of a poisoned RAT from the neighbors. So i called this office and i can’t say how professional, loving, and caring these guys were. My first of many visits with ALL my fur baby’s. I recommend them! And they are VERY reasonable priced. Lowest I’ve found.

I couldn't even say enough good in this short little paragraph. I love the fact that they CARE. It isn't all about the money. When we had to help our Dalmatian cross the rainbow bridge, Dr. Shannon sat right on the floor with us and then buried her on their property. When our little Rat Terrier was viciously attacked by our neighbor's dog, Dr. Wylie (?) performed emergency surgery on her and had her ready to go home in several hours and the costs was minimal. I wouldn't consider taking my dog family anywhere else.

You don't feel rushed or dismissed. Another thing I really liked is she's NOT a MedVet where you leave with a bunch of new shots and prescriptions for stuff you didn't even go in for. 10 stars.

The team at Shannon Veterinary Services is absolutely the best. The compassion and professionalism the entire staff have shown me when I have had to make the hard decisions to put my very aged kitties to sleep was comforting. It helped me through it and I know they cared for my kitties as much as I did. I have since brought a new kitty into my life and I won't take her any where else. I would drive across the state if I had too. This place is AWESOME!

The service I receive at Shannon Vet Services is by far the best care my pets have ever received. The front desk staff is wonderful and the vets are some of the best I have ever been to. We have been through many serious medical conditions over the years and each time my pet has gotten the best care possible. The vets are knowledgeable and I trust them completely. I won't go anywhere else. Quality, compassionate care at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them !
