We have been bringing our animals here for nearly 22 years. These people feel like friends to us. They are always willing to help schedule you when convenient and have seen my animals in emergencies too. Dr Bruno has always been nothing but friendly and respectful and I always look forward to seeing him there. He takes extra time to talk and I never feel rushed. I've seen other vets in the office and not once have I been disappointed in their demeanor or professional judgement. I always receive a follow up call to check in after treatment. The ladies up front are helpful and friendly. My dogs haven't boarded there often but when they do they always come back in perfectly good shape. We had to put down one of our pets and they were all very kind and caring. I drive past other vet clinics where I'm sure there are very capable doctors but I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else because of the relationship and confidence I have built with Animal Medical Center. Specific List of Boarding Vaccination Criteria Not ListedI called this place one month before we tried to board puppy and the associate said they need Rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella vaccinations within one year. So, I brought all the vaccination records on the day of drop-off and the same associate said they also need heartworm test and also fecal. This struck me as unprofessional and a bit misleading.2. No proper paperwork on service quoteAfter being told I would incur additional -- albeit necessary tests-- I was given a price for the extra charges of $96. However, upon pickup, there was an extra $22 dollar charge that was part of the examination and had not been part of the $96 described. 3. Call back in bad time mannerDuring the examination, one of my dogs tested positive for a particular parasite. We had extra tests done that concluded it was not anything to be alarmed about. However, when we initially called back regarding the test result, we were told the doctor would call us back when she was free. A few hours later we called back on our own and she was readily available to come to the phone. I understand that things can be forgotten, but calls regarding positive -- potentially serious -- test results should not be part of such mishaps in my opinion.4. High rate with moderate quality servicea. The physical exam here was $22 more than my usual vet. My usual vet provides an exceptional level of care for the cheaper price -- they trim the dogs' nails when time permits. I do not expect this office to provide extra services for free, but I did not notice anything that warranted rates that are approximately 50% higher on average.b. $28/night pet boarding. The price cannot be readily found on their website and it's almost 50% higher than places with equal or better service. 5.There's a question on the boarding form that I found ridiculous. "___ times you want puppy to have off-leash playtime. Each playtime is 10-15min with extra charge $5.20/time" Read Less

I've been taking my dog here for about 2 years now and have loved every visit! When I first moved back home from school I needed to find a good vet for my dog. I tried a few places and was not satisfied with the service and treatment my dog received. My mom suggested I take him here, since she had come to this location in the past and had a great experience. From Wrigleys very first appointment here I knew it would be my go to vet office for him. He gets very anxious at the vet and they are always very patient with him and make him feel right at home. I now live 45 minutes from this office but still make the drive here because I don't think I could find anywhere better! My family has been using this vet for 20+ years. Dr. Bruno and his staff are amazing, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone searching for a veterinarian or to someone who has a veterinarian and is struggling to get a diagnosis for their pet. AMC's vets conservative when the situation warrants it (I.e. They won't waste your money) but will be honest when they truly think a certain course of treatment needs to be implemented. I live in an apartment complex and one of the other residents left some corn on the cob out where I walk my dogs. My one year old lab mix ended up getting ahold of a half a cob and swallowed it faster than I could grab it. I called the clinic this morning and took him there. They showed such love and concern for my 64 lb guy. They managed to get him into surgery today and retrieved the cob. I'm so thankful to them for taking such good care of my fur baby. Read Less

Animal Medical Center has kept all my Jack Russells hale and hearty for many, many years. My oldest was 17 in June and thanks to Dr. Bruno and staff he is still active, and enjoys his life to the fullest. My others are 10, 9, and 6. Without Animal Medical Center my 10 year old would not be with me. Her Mom, Amy, had problems delivering her litter. Dr. Bruno did an emergency C-Section and spay. Saving all but one puppy. I would not take one of them to another vet unless forced by an after hours emergency. If you want top notch vet care for your pets this is the place to take them. Not only have they treated my dogs they have even help a pet chicken at my horse's barn that was bitten by a dog. They are the only small animal vet clinic I would ever use. Read Less

Staff and Dr.Bruno were great! We made an online appointment late at night asking to get in the next day. We received an email and phone call first thing in the morning getting us in. Did not think it would be possible being it was Christmas Eve. Staff went over office protocol and explanation of fees that could occur during our visit. Dr. Bruno took care of our puppy and gave us some important tips to help our new puppy grow healthy. He was even pleasant explaining the care to our 8-year-old daughter. I found out a day after when she vomited all the worms, I was hysterical since this never happened to me before and went here as fast as I could (closest to where I lived). I've been taking my pets to AMC for about 14 years to see Dr. Bruno.  I can talk to Dr. Bruno about my concerns, and he listens and gives weight to my opinions when diagnosing a problem.  He's very down to earth and easy to talk to.  And his years of expertise in diagnoses have saved us $$$ because he was able to diagnose the problem without expensive tests in those cases (esp. where our senior dogs are concerned.)  Btw, we have many friends and neighbors who also see Dr. Bruno, and I have never heard anything but praise for him.  Some of our friends drive from Jackson County to bring their pets to see Dr. Bruno.
