Rosenhauer DVM, Kelly and Leann Carter the office manager terminating my dog who has cancer because of the following: Scary! Note we have 2 dogs to attend VCA. 1 has been going years. The other has been going for the past seven mo. Prior our dog was at her vet for 14 yrs. they mistreated my dog, did things I asked them not to, manipulated situations, didn’t keep me updated and blamed me for all of their mistakes. I was happy with their care and out of no where they terminate us. I saw the red flags & chose to ignore them because I feel everyone makes mistakes. - I told them my dog has a bladder issue from her recent surgery. I told them she needs to go to the bathroom every hour to prevent her from peeing herself or inside improperly. Yet, they didn’t listen she peed herself inside. my dog probably was trying so hard to hold it in. - I asked them to not give allergy shot prior to her major surgery. They did it anyway. my family member who dropped her off signed off on it. I didn’t even get mad. My dog has cancer so the bill is long and things can get missed especially if you don’t know the medical language. why are they even putting items in a bill after I already said NO. They break verbal binding agreements. I could have easily gotten upset but didn’t. -I asked for an itemized bill prior to the visit. They stated that this showed I didn’t trust them. Even though I was asking for it since my dad had to dropped her off and he doesn’t know what to sign off on ... after all that is the whole point of me signing off on it. Prior to visits they ask you to sign off on everything they will do. I didn’t want him to sign something wrong. - They put my dog on an ultra sound “wait list”. An ultra sound guy comes when they have enough pets. They told me they would let me know when he comes. They never contacted me about it and I want to the ultra sound when they didn’t even have anyone on the list. The guy only comes when they have enough clients. I contacted them again and they said they were full. I reminded them what they told me which offended them. They ended up “squeezing me in”. This was the one time I was livid! The entire ultra sounds experience was unorganized. - When I got there we are waiting for an hour we asked How much longer? They said this is an all drop off appointment. They got offended that I was upset because I live an hour away and no one told me this. It was my fault. I figured out a solution. I let it go and was happy. well they didn’t let it go. Months later ( the day they terminated me) they brought it up. They said that it’s an issue that I even had an issue.. even though I was okay with it and I let it go. Their mistakes can’t be discussed because the see this as YOU being a problem! Even if your nice and calm. - My dog who is 14 had her spleen taken and many biopsies on other organs. She has many conditions, thyroid, adrainial gland issues ect. They told me that My dog is very complicated and has a lot going on & that they no longer feel like they can care for her. They stated that they are too busy and don’t have time.They said they are too booked and can’t handle her any longer and they have done all they can... which isn’t true since she still need test for future treatment. - Dr. R Said that my dog would keep her up at night in her thoughts. She blamed us for causing that. She said that she cant do that anymore. It was disgusting to hear a vet say that this. She went on to say it wasn’t easy to do this yet somehow abandoning a dog who has cancer needs because you got offended will help? - I told them my dad would drop my dog off early on his way to work. I emailed & called & spoke to them to let them know. They didn’t document it. When my dad dropped her off and they said they didn’t know why he was there. he said , “since y’all made a mistake I want to go over what she is here for.” I called them after to make sure everything was okay since they didn’t exapect her. Prior to the call I had emailed them checking in and said, “I wish the team would document this stuff.” I wasn’t even mad. They were very upset with me because Of what I and my dad said written above. I told them I’m not mad. They said me stating that they messed up is not okay & they can’t keep us happy. I told them we are happy & would love to stay here. - They had the audacity to state that they’re booked out and they don’t have time to handle a case like my dogs ( who has cancer) or answer all of my questions adequately and care for me the way I feel I need. If you dog has cancer and other conditions there is a lot of at home care. Lots of questions will be had. Well they say they don’t have time for it. I never even told me to call me as much as they did. I just emailed them so they could answer when they got to it that day or the next! Read Less

I came to the VCA hospital for the first time today. I have a 3 month old kitten I adopted from the Humane Society. From the first phone call I made, to my entire experience, the staff and doctor were amazing! Thank you so much! Read Less

These people are angels sent by god. I took my dog baby in for swelling under her eye and it was an infected toothe. And tge care we got from this place was awesome and i want to recommend every one with an animal to go here. Read Less
