Let me start by saying this: I am so grateful for Brantley and Jordan Animal Hospital.
I have a fearful and anxious Great Dane named Memphis, who is an absolute hellion at the vet. When I brought him for his first visit to Brantley and Jordan after moving to Macon, as a puppy weighing in at 100lbs+, he was cowering in a corner, growling, snapping, generally being a terror and not even letting the staff close enough to properly lay eyes on him. Dr. Stephanie and her staff could not have handled him better; I was moved to tears by their kindness, patience, and thoroughness, despite all of the trouble he gave them. They were so gentle with him and spent an hour trying to win him over, without even muzzling his big dangerous mouth. Eventually, they sedated him for his own good as much as theirs, but not before Dr. Stephanie spent several more minutes talking through the decision with me to ensure that I was comfortable with it. Every aspect of his treatment plan was tailored perfectly for his specific needs, and everything was explained to me in great detail. For example, one of the issues Memphis came in for was a fracture in his toe. Even though she was running behind schedule due to his antics, Dr. Stephanie went to the trouble to bring me to the back to see his X-ray and explain it to me, all while her tech sat on the floor with Memphis' head in her lap, petting him and comforting him as the sedation lifted. Even as I grabbed his medicines on the way out of the office, the ladies working at the front desk expressed genuine concern for him in asking about his splint. Every aspect of the experience proved that the people at Brantley and Jordan genuinely wanted the best for my dog, and for me too. For real, I cried tears of gratitude in the car on the way home! But their phenomenal care didn't stop there. A few months later, Memphis had some severe GI issues that resulted in emergency surgery (at the hospital, since his condition escalated after hours). Although he never even came in for so much as a post-op visit, Dr. Stephanie spent cumulative hours on the phone with me figuring out how to best approach his GI and anxiety issues. She and her staff have helped Memphis with several complex issues over the course of at least 6 months now, and he has only come in for ONE single visit. They have received no compensation for these hours of effort spent working out the best way to help him, and have never asked me to bring Memphis in because they understand that it would be a stressful experience for him. I have even offered to pay for Dr. Stephanie's time spent on the phone with me as an "office visit," because she and her staff have surely earned it at this point, but she immediately brushed that idea off.
I can say with complete confidence that the staff at Brantley and Jordan are incredible people who will go above and beyond to take amazing care of your pets — and they do it because they truly CARE. Read Less
