The plans are adaptable to the client’s schedule and the pet’s daily routine, whether the client stays at home all day, travels frequently, has multiple pets, or is supporting senior animals. The clinic ensures that pet owners understand the rationale for staged care and which elements are adjustable, as well as what is best for their individual environments. Following visits, families receive digital and printed summaries, which outline recheck schedules as well as medication and wellness goals. Online tools offer patients next-appointment alerts, refill prompts, and mobile symptom tracking features to support follow-up care and prevent feeling overwhelmed. Forsyth Road Animal Clinic provides veterinary support with continual comfort and clear communication across Macon, Georgia, while evolving with families to keep pets healthy for years. The Forsyth Road Animal Clinic offers several services including surgery, boarding, dermatology, diagnostics, vaccinations, cardiology, livestock/farm animal care, grooming, orthopedic surgery and dental care. Brought our Shar Pei to see the DR. Dog would cry when picked up with hand under stomach. Dog has never been this way, Dog always wants to be near us, but spent the night in other rooms of the house, lots of vomit, at least 5 times. Dog was sick and suffering from adominal pain. Dr. Diagnoise "dog is very dominat, don't like to be picked up" ...... I understand that maybe you could not tell what was wrong and that the X ray maybe showed no foregin objects, but if that is the case state this. Do not lie to our face and say. I boarded my dog here for several days about a month ago due to her regular vet being fully booked. Since her stay she has been scratching non-stop. She gets a bath about once a week to a week and a half, but the itch persists (we tried the Dawn dish soap tactic as well). Despite having white fur, we're not detecting any fleas (our vision just may suck). I can't verify if this is a consistent problem amongst animals boarded here, but it is a concern that seems worth mentioning. Read Less

I have been taking my two kittens to Forsyth Road Animal Clinic for a couple of months now. The service has been average, but I recently had an awful experience with them that will prevent me from ever returning. My kitten was displaying some abnormal behavior, so I called the clinic to explain his symptoms. I told them he had cold symptoms, shallow breathing and was very lethargic. Jamie at the front desk told me as long as he is eating, he is fine. Shortly after the call, I offered him some food since it was his meal time. For the first time in his life, he refused to eat. I panicked and called the clinic, convinced that something was wrong. Instead of reassuring me or asking for further information, Jamie laughed at me and said, "Well, are you shoving the food in his face? He is fine!" She proceeded to scoff at me and not provide any sort of assistance. I was truly appalled at the lack of concern for my cat, especially by an establishment that specializes in animal care. Throughout the night, my cats symptoms worsened and his breathing became very shallow. Despite my negative experience with Jamie, I called the clinic's emergency after hours number and left a message asking for assistance. I never received a call back from anyone. We ended up having to take my kitten to AVS Animal Hospital, where Dr. Amsterdam was nice enough to open up after hours for us. As soon as he saw my kitten, he diagnosed him with severe upper respiratory distress, pneumonia, and anemia. He worked on my kitten for two hours that night and essentially saved his life.I cannot believe that Jamie dismissed my kittens symptoms when they ended up being so serious and life threatening. I figured Dr. Ho of Forsyth Road Animal Clinic would want to be aware about the inefficiencies of his front desk staff, so I called him and informed him of the situation. Rather than apologizing or offering any kind of consolation, Dr. Ho became extremely defensive and deflected the blame back onto me. That is just an awful way to treat your customers and someone who is clearly in distress over their pet. I have never had such a negative experience with any Macon business, and my family members and I will no longer be customers at this clinic. There are plenty of other vets in town that will display far greater concern and expertise when it comes to our loved ones. I strongly recommend against ever bringing your precious pets here.
