Piedmont Equine Associates

Madison, Georgia
General Info
Piedmont Equine Associates provides individualized pet care from the heart of Madison to the broader Georgia area through flexible expertise. The clinic extends a variety of services which include physical examinations, sickness prevention, and vaccinations. Medical consultations often involve other symptoms such as fatigue, loss of appetite, and general distress. Veterinarians would then proceed to look at pet history and current symptoms in order to decide on the next steps, which could be either additional testing or just scheduled monitoring. Piedmont Equine Associates also offers such services as dental exams, nutritional consultations, dermatology, and postoperative care. Veterinarians in this country routinely treat dogs for these ailments. The joint, stomach, or skin issues tend to fluctuate with the seasons and frequently reoccur. Veterinarians employ several methods, such as lab tests and imaging referrals, in addition to physical examinations, to establish the reasons for changes in pets’ behaviors and energy levels. The clinic draws clients from all over Georgia who need long-term care for their pets, such as annual checkups and treatments that require several visits. Every record is documented with explicit clarity so that different patients’ visits are consistent and coherent even when diverse professionals handle staff appointments. Piedmont Equine Associates implements a care model that fosters in-depth discussions and mutual planning. The clinic gives pet owners insights into the origins and progression of symptoms, helping families to act confidently and promptly. The Madison clinic adjusts its recommendations for each pet at every service level, from brief wellness visits to long-term case management. Services offered at the Piedmont Equine Associates include Prescription Medications, Pet Euthanasia, Surgery, Laboratory and Bloodwork and 24 Hour Emergency. This range of services makes it possible for local pet owners in Madison and the nearby areas to obtain everything from routine check-ups to sophisticated procedures. Due to the services offered for pets’ long and healthy lives, the clinic is a longstanding establishment in Madison’s community.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We took my mare there after hours thinking she had collicked. From the time we got there until we left we were informed about everything they were doing. Dr. Perez was amazing. He was compassionate, knowledgeable, and kept us updated on everything that was happening. He called us when she was put under for surgery and again later to update us on Ravens condition. I highly recommend this facility and would not hesitate to take my horses there for anything. Thank you all so much! Read Less

Excellent veterinary care for my horses. I appreciate having a veterinary group with a hospital facility. It saves the stress of trying to figure out where to haul a sick horse.

On the recommendation of a respected horseman, I drove over 100 miles for Dr. Elliott to examine my TWH gelding. My horse had gone from stumbling to falling with me twice, and in spite of him being examined by three different vets, the problem continued and was worsening. Dr. Elliott read the history I provided, and then did a neurological exam of my horse. He took great pains to explain what he was doing, and my horse's abnormal reactions. Without doing very expensive testing to be certain, he said the most likely diagnosis was that my horse had Wobbler's Syndrome, and that I should not ride him again as he was unsafe. He was very compassionate as this news was devastating. When I asked advice as to the best way to go about finding a new trail horse, he not only recommended a certain breed that he thought would fit how and where I ride, but he also recommended a trustworthy breeder. I lost one of my Clydesdale geldings in October of last year. His loss was unexpected and I have struggled to deal with losing him. One of the things that can take comfort in is that he was in the very best of hands. It was a horrible time, but the staff worked so very hard and were so unbelievably dedicated. They even saved his halter and sent it to me. Huge heartfelt thanks to Dr. Osborn, who worked for three days to help my beautiful boy.
