Y'all this place is excellent. I just moved back to Marietta and was looking for a vet for my two fur babies because one of my dogs seems to have a skin infection and the other issues with allergies. I was so impressed by the staff here and how thorough they were with checking them and explaining to me what was going on. Only reason I'm giving them 4 stars as opposed to 5 is the fact they they are more on the expensive side. Very caring staff that will listen to current problems and minor side effects displayed by pets to diagnose large and small issues. My cat has had flees for awhile despite medications so they explained some reasons the medications might not be working, discussed potential plans, and helped with samples of different medications to try. It is true, it is as good as it gets. People who are genuine, interact with you just as friendly as they do your pup. Suggestions are vast and helpful. They give you tips on what's needed, what's best and in case you want to know type of tips. I travel a good distance to receive the care they offer. Suggestion of a friend lead me here, I am not a resident of Marietta. So grateful to have them on speed dial.Appointments within the same week (non-holiday rush) is common and from what I can tell adequate number of staff in each department.I see Diaz, but the entire teams seems hands on. The level of investment they have is beyond the price tag and gorging others tend to do. So yes, 5 star all day, everyday. Thank you doesn't cover it. Read Less

I have been using East Marietta Animal Hospital for years, even though I've moved farther out and it's a little bit of a schlep. All three of the doctors are clearly concerned with making a vet visit as smooth as possible, and it shows especially these days as I have a super anxious rescue pup who is afraid of everything. They also clearly love animals. The vets and the rest of the staff. Besides their fabulous "bedside manner" and obvious care for my pets, over the years what I've liked best is twofold. 1) I always get clear concise explanations. If they're recommending tests or treatments they tell me all my options, pros and cons, likelihood of success, costs, etc. so that I can make informed choices. 2)The doctors take their time with me and answer all 49,000 of my questions. I'm giving one star because at least the technician who came out to talk to me was considerate and compassionate. I had stopped by this morning after picking up an injured turtle in the middle of the road on my way to work at Lockheed. The vets I know in Dunwoody and Peachtree Corners have a policy to humanely assist wild animals who have been injured. They just require the person dropping off to fill out their contact information on a form. The receptionist showed no compassion after I explained I had the injured animal in my car -- She just said -- We don't do that here.  I said, 'Can you please ask someone if they can help?' and she went to the back of the clinic for several minutes, didn't come back out to address me but just went back to her desk. (Rude.)  The technician walked out to my car with me and was very kind.  He explained they weren't set up to handle this kind of thing and gave me directions to the Cobb Animal Emergency Clinic.  First impressions and customer service are everything, especially when trusting someone to take care of your pets.  If your front desk is any indication of how you would treat my pets, no thank you, and I will be sure to share that with my co-workers.  Again, kudos to the gentleman (technician) who DID take the time to graciously help. Dr. Diaz cared for our precious dog Angel for 12 & 1/2 years. He was very caring and gentle, and knew her so well. As a professional, he was knowledgeable, skilled, and thorough. Two weeks ago he looked at Angel and knew she was seriously ill. After ordering tests, it was determined that she was in kidney failure. Her condition worsened quickly. This past Sunday Dr. Diaz came to our home and tenderly, and at a pace we were comfortable with, released her from her suffering. We will always be grateful to him for treating Angel as if she were his own. Every one of his staff members are courteous, compassionate and well trained. When I started college I got the bright idea to adopt a cat from the shelter. I had little money to take care of her and only had a coupon for a vet visit from the shelter. Busy as I was, the coupon expired. However, the kind folks here took the coupon anyway, gave her a checkup, shots and a tag- and I decided they would be her vet forever. I've taken her back many times and they are so kind and caring. They help me administer medications that I struggle with giving her and are affordable enough for me. Love this place.Read Less

As I write this review, I get sadder and sadder.... :'( Recently my dog got really sick again (she was almost 17 years old) - my parents and I had to face the unfortunate situation....We had to let her go. It was time. The staff here made sure everything went smoothly. From start to finish. When I set up the appt, Sherry (sp?) was super nice and tried her best to make me feel better. On the phone, she gave me clear instructions on what they would need (my dog's health history), what would happen post procedure, and what would my family like in regards to a "life memory" (cremation & paw print). As soon as we walked in - they immediately helped my dog. The Vet came into the room & explained thoroughly on what was going on and gave us time to say our goodbyes. Before the Vet did the procedure, she made sure to ask us if we were ok to stay or if we wanted to leave. I guess some owners don't want to see the passing of their pet, but my family preferred to stay. While we said our goodbyes, one of the helpers made the financial part of this visit really simple. I think she knew we didn't want to linger around once everything was done. She explained what was what and clarified on what we wanted in regards to the life memory of my dog. I wish I got the vet's and helper's name. Great folks. After 2 days, I got a call and picked up my dog's stuff. The staff member told me what I needed to do with my dog's paw print. Words can hardly do justice with regards to how impressed I am with this vet clinic! The entire staff is phenomenal with customer service. They care for both the pet and love getting to know your pet...in addition to caring about you, the pet owner. I have been to two other vets (we are fairly new to Marietta) and the other two just didn't cut it for reasons such as poor customer service to wanting to just run a bunch of tests without trying to understand the background on the issues first. But, East Marietta Animal Hospital has continued to exceed expectations. They are friendly, priced fairly, take the TIME to understand your pets problems and how it can work with your needs/pocket book. They provide options...and ones that make sense! You will have a terrific experience if you decide to choose this vet clinic...I highly recommend you do. I have done a lot of research and this one is top-notch! I began using the East Marietta Animal Clinic when Dr. Mason was the Veterinarian and his office was behind Harry's Market. Then he built the present clinic. Later Dr. Diaz joined the practice, Dr. Mason retired, then Dr. Priest came and then moved and now Dr. McConney is in the practice. I have NEVER had a complaint with any f the doctors or office staff. They have taken care of --- I don't even know how many of my animals. Everyone has always been caring, empathic, Just a marvelous clinic. The only animal I have now is 14 years old, Yogi. Someone had left her at the clinic and I just happened to stop by. I was looking for a puppy; they had just gotten her and were looking for a home for her. She has had a few personality flaws LOL over the years but she has been a wonderful companion for me. Even at her age, I know I am safe when she is around, as long as she can hear any danger. ? She is developing some hearing problems. But she has been my dog for the years that I've had her. She tolerates other people and is tolerating them a little better as she ages. I've had to have animals put down when there was just no other choice. The Doctor?s and the staff have allays been understanding and caring both for the pet and myself. I know this is getting a little long but it?s hard to put 20 of excellent care in a short review. This place is the cleanest of the veterinary offices I have visited in Marietta. When I arrived here from NY I was worried about where I would take my pet for medical checks and boarding as the places around were all so dirty and smelly. I drove into this place and knew this was it! The Dr. and his staff are very kind, caring, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I do not feel worried when I board my dog, Tige, with them. The best personalities, care and love my dog could ever receive. My dog skinner has gone to East Marietta since he was 5 months. They are kind and always send me a reminder, which I really need. Dr. Laurie Priest is amazing. The entire staff actually...they truely care for your furry friends. All the women are sweet and eager to answer any questions for you, and they are accomodating too--they will price match any meds you find on ""petmeds"" type sites, and even ship if you ask them too! My dog actually wags her tail walking in the door at East Marietta Animal Hospital, and for a vets office--that's really saying something!! When my last dog past away--I recieved a card in the mail signed by the entire staff expressing their sympathies.
