Paws Whiskers And Claws

Marietta, Georgia
General Info
Paws Whiskers And Claws in Marietta provides services for households and multi-pet homes throughout Georgia based on the stress levels of caregivers. During initial visits, staff members analyze how the animal paces, vocalizes, and holds its body by looking into its eyes. Hydration status needs to be assessed as part of physical health together with the coat, oral and core strength. Limb movement and balance control need to be monitored. Through structured conversation, owners record their observations, with recent social behavior, appetite variance, noise sensitivity, and sleep disruption as key variables. Paws Whiskers And Claws offers a comprehensive range of services such as diagnostics, preventive, dental, minor surgeries, post-surgical care and management of chronic conditions. The number of pets in the household, caregiver time availability, and the necessity to process emotions after visits affect staging adjustments. Families find it easier to use long-term follow-up at home when the process is well-outlined in the instructions and diagrams because they reduce possible mistakes. Schedules are fluid. Pet owners should adjust the plan as needed based on the progress of the animal’s adaptation. Optional check-ins and asynchronous updates ensure the progress of care while eliminating unnecessary stress. Support mechanisms include providing printed summaries of tiered communication and identifying where pain behavior maps would lead to next steps. Paws Whiskers And Claws renders veterinary aid in Marietta and Georgia in the manner comprehensible to every household by respecting what the animal and its owner say during every meeting. Services at Paws Whiskers And Claws encompass nutritional counseling, pocket pet care, prescription medications, dental care, pet euthanasia, internal medicine, bloodwork, dermatology and allergy testing as well as lameness locator. Thanks to this variety, pet owners in Marietta and surrounding areas can access everything a veterinary facility offers, from standard health checkups to complex procedures. The clinic has established itself as a trusted name in Marietta by offering services that ensure pets remain healthy and comfortable throughout their lives.

I have a cat who has total freak-outs at the vet, to the point where he's labeled as a dangerous problem cat on his files, and vets generally wear gloves when handling him. Dr. Globerman and Ingrid are the first vets to be able to complete all his yearly checkup activities (blood draw, dental check, poking, prodding, etc.) Without incident. My "problem cat" was actually purring and kneading during his exam. I've never been to a vet's office that is as professional, caring, and knowledgeable as PWAC. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Read Less

I just cannot express strongly enough how much I love PWC and all the people who work there. Like others who have left reviews, we got correct (finally!) diagnoses for our kitties. The entire staff is passionate and knowledgeable, and treats their cat clients (and their owners) with great respect. Working both with physical and behavioral health (shout out to Ingrid for litter box design, vertical space, and foraging toys!) they provide a fantastic service. We just completed a long run with them with our older cat, who had a couple of illnesses and had shown a behavioral (not illness related) litter box issue. From the first time we stepped into the office (and correcting some mistaken diagnoses from other vets), through solving the litter box thing quickly and inexpensively, through years of annual and illness specific treatment, until when they compassionately (and with tears in their eyes) helped us let our cat go to the rest he needed, they have been an amazing resource for care, support, and knowledge. I wish they took dogs too, as we'd bring ours here for care in a second. Read Less

The doctors in the office are clearly very passionate about feline care! It was a very clean environment, and I love the fact it is geared specifically towards cats. We had no issues with the overall care and I would still recommend it!... Unfortunately, after two appointments, we knew this was not the right vet for us. My husband and I have one cat (whom we spoil and love dearly) and we felt guilt tripped during both of our appointments that our kitten did not have a "playmate". We can not afford a second cat and both of us are home quite often during all days of the week and often engage in play with our kitten -- anything our kitten did (that seems like normal kitten behavior) was contributed to him not having a "friend". We were also told that we needed two litterboxes in our tiny two-bedroom apartment even though we consistently clean out the litterbox that he currently has. After two appointments I couldn't handle the guilt I felt every time I walked out of the office. I genuinely believe these recommendations come from the right place, given that the doctors are so passionate about cats, but it is not the right place for us. In addition, we can't afford to pay the office visitation fee of $50 every time we go to the office. I know that most vets charge this, and it often comes with wonderful care, but even if you are only getting shots (or boosters) you will have to pay this fee every time. Read Less

I LOVE PWC and everyone who works there. I found them when I engaged Ingrid for a behavior issue between my old guy and new adoptee and have engaged her for another introduction and moved all of my cats to PWC's care. I love that the environment there is peaceful (no dogs barking). Dr. G takes her time with my cats, making sure their experience is as positive as a trip to the vet can be, and everyone is great with handling my cats and treating them like their own. Last year one of my cats was diagnosed with diabetes, and Dr. G is always super responsive with any questions I have or when I report the results of his blood test. Sometimes I think about moving away from Atlanta and my first thought always is - what would I do without PWC?????Read Less

Dr. G and Ingrid have been taking care of my babies for the past 7-8 years. They have always shown the utmost of care and compassion. My eldest girl, a beautiful blue tortie named Misha, was diagnosed with diabetes in August of this year at 12 years old and Dr. G was so patient and responsive. Over Christmas, she experienced an episode of diabetic ketoacidosis and the care and compassion of everyone at PWC was unmatched. She was in the hospital for 5 days and appeared to have recovered. We picked her up on New Year's Day. By Saturday, she was doing poorly again and I spent the weekend syringe feeding, administering fluids and taking care of my baby around the clock. During this time, Dr. G was always available by email and was so helpful. On Monday, she wanted to repeat lab work and it turned out my baby was producing ketones again and the prognosis wasn't good. We'd tried everything but it was clear my baby was done fighting and I couldn't bear to watch her suffer. The agonizing decision to let her go was made and the compassion of Dr. G, Ingrid and Dina shone through the entire time. I was able to spend as much time with my baby as needed and she was treated with great care and dignity. They helped me with the aftercare details as well. I am beyond heartbroken but I am so grateful for these wonderful people. Dr. G will continue to care for my Molly and the next kitty who agrees to be a part of our family. Much love to the wonderful women of PWC.Read Less

Really like everyone here. They are very understanding of cats and each cat's temperament. My cat is so sweet with me but she turns into a little she-devil at the vet and the team here is very understanding of her. Also my cat is 17 and Dr. G has no problem working with her but I had other vets tell me they would not "touch" a cat over 14 years - go figure. I always get good tips on things to to with my cat. Also if you have a cat that is anxious or acts up at the vet - we found the Thundershirt (bought at Paws Whiskers & Claws) really calms her down so they can complete the exam. Read Less

After losing one cat very suddenly to kidney disease and then finding out my other one had polycystic kidney disease - I thought I was doomed. Dr. G came through though - she helped us find the right mix of meds while never recommending anything she knew wouldn't help. she's always available and even answers emails late at night or on days they are closed. the whole staff has been so helpful in teaching me how to give the proper care for my little guy and he's doing so well now. She's always encouraging, compassionate and a great communicator and listener. There were days I thought I should just give up but she always would say - we treat the patient not the test results....and if she wasnt' going to give up - then how could I?

Dr. Globerman and Ingrid have been taking care of my Nikko for 15 years. They love him and he loves them! We live in Roswell and followed Dr. Globerman to Marietta.

I highly recommend them to anyone who has cats and likes the cat only vet approach.Read Less
