The staff is more concerned about lunch time than scheduling appointments! My groomer informed me there was a problem around my Pomeranian's private parts and told me to get her to the vet. I called The Veterinary Clinic West immediately. One of the clinic staff answered the phone at 11:52. I explained the reason for the call. I was advised to hold while she accessed the records (which I thought was strange). After 4 minutes of elevator music I hang up and call back. After it rings a couple of times I immediately hear elevator music. I waited another 4 minutes and call back again at 12:00. It then went to a recording advising the clinic is closed from 12:00 to 1:30 for lunch.  I AM NO LONGER A CLIENT! Read Less

I am so glad I found this vet clinic. Like all pet owners, we are always looking for the best places to take care of our pets. When you first come in you will notice two things: the friendly and smiley staff and that they break the waiting room into 2 parts- exotic animals and non exotic animals. I think small details like that show that they care. Dr. Oguni was an awesome doctor. He was very attentive to my dog and gave a very thorough examination. He listened to all of our concerns and answered all of our questions patiently. After our visit, he called us the next day to check up on our dog and made sure everything was ok.I highly recommend this place because your pet will be in good hands. Read Less

We have been a client of The Veterinary Clinic, and primarily The Veterinary Clinic West for 29 years now. That, in and of itself, speaks volumes to the care, caliber of vets, vet technicians, and professionalism. We started off at the main location, on Roswell Street.  Dr. Thad Riddle was our favorite vet, and was also the owner. He's retired now :) His father was also a vet, and I believe the first vet in Marietta. The Veterinary Clinic West opened years later, and is closer to our house, Our babies demand to see Dr. Brad Wilson...they're pushy pusses...LOL :D He's known as "Uncle Brad" to the kit-es :)There are many vets in our area, but we, and our kit-es, put our trust in Brad. He's thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and caring. He takes the time to explain exactly what is going on, and the ways we can give our babies quality of life. When one of our babies was in dire straits, he was understanding of the costs involved, and would order tests he deemed helpful in the long term prognosis of our pet's illness. Dr. Wilson also deals with exotic pets. If you're an owner of an exotic pet, he's definitely the vet your pet needs to see. When Brad is on vacation, or has his day(s) off, Dr. Lisa Harvey, or Dr. Oguni are also excellent vets to see. They're  very thorough, caring, and knowledgeable as well.A big shout out to the staff...they're all so nice, caring and professional. I don't know how they all do it...dealing with illness and euthanasia on a daily basis. They all have big hearts, and it takes special kind of people to do what they do. Our hats off to you all....you're an AWESOME group of people!I highly recommend this veterinary practice to anyone who demands quality of care for their children. 10 stars, if I could give that many. I have three ferrets and since I've gotten them I've used this vet clinic. The staff is friendly and the vets really know what they're talking about. If they're not sure, they'll take the extra step to do research and give you answers you're looking for. However, expect to pay for this great service. My ferret may have had a heart problem. I had to make a follow up appointment for them to take another listen to her heart, to make sure there was no underlying issue. For me to go in there and have them spend 10 seconds listening to her heart, I had to pay 30 dollars. They did nothing else, no temperature check, no weighing, nothing. Just put the stethascope up to her chest, and listened. This was ridiculous! I said something too, asked them why I'm paying them 30 dollars, they said it was a follow up appointment and that was the fee. So in the end, I paid 75 dollars (the initial appointment cost me 45 dollars, which made that second 30 dollar fee even more unreasonable) to be told my ferret is healthy and well. I'd pay anything to know my ferret is not sick, but I'm quite sure I could find another clinic that has more reasonable prices and equally great service. Read Less
