I hate to have to leave this review, but our recent experiences have been so poor that I must. My family rescued our dogs from T&C 15 years ago and we have loved this place since. However, lately the care seems to have declined in a major way. Recently, we brought one of our dogs in after she showed concerning behavior. We discovered after x-rays that she had a tumor in her spleen. T&C was ultimately not the proper place for the surgery, if something went wrong, they would have had no way to solve the problem. They never outright said that, and suggested that they were more than capable and it would be no issue. Dr. Cohn was willing to open up our pup on the table for an "exploratory" surgery on her spleen (an organ that easily bleeds out) and if she needed blood they recommended we take her from the surgical table to GVS, 15 minutes away. If they opened her up and there was a problem, they recommended that we put her down on the table. We would have lost our dog in an incredibly traumatic way. Thankfully I did some research and spoke to a second doctor (at T&C - thank you Dr. Horne) who pushed us towards doing the whole procedure at GVS (Blue Pearl in Sandy Springs). GVS did an amazing job and we are happy to have our pup with us still. To add insult to injury, after I paid them over $500, we were chased down for an additional $60 - even after Dr. Horne told us to get to GVS as quickly as possible. They could have sent a bill, followed up after, etc., instead of chasing us out the door. After all, we have been regular customers for 15 years. I will add one more issue - we boarded our dogs at T&C and paid to have their nails trimmed. Well, their nails did not get trimmed. I went back and spoke to the office manager, asked to have the nails trimmed and showed him the untrimmed nails. He proceeded to imply that I was lying, but took the dogs back to do the job. He charged me an additional $20 - after I had already paid for a service I did not receive.We will no longer be customers of T&C as we cannot support a business that seems to be more concerned with money than customer care. Most caring and thoughtful clinic I've ever been to! Took my dog to have his annual dental and it went great! They definitely respect the appointments they make, and when I called the day before having to reschedule, they were able to accommodate my appointment change. We adopted our first dog, Alex, a mixed breed when she was 8 months old. We needed to have her shots updated and were referred to Dr. Sue at the town and country vet clinic. From that point forward we were hooked. Along came dog #2, Vegas. She was approximately two years old when we adopted her. Naturally she became a patient of town and country as well. After a few short months, Vegas became ill. We brought her into Dr. Sue and after some blood work, she was diagnosed with Addisons Disease. Dr. Sue and the entire staff were there to get us through this time. And, because of their caring a proper diagnosis she received the right medication and we were lucky to help her live another 4 years. We also had a cat named Fred. Dr. Sue loved him. He was very kind and gentle and loved everyone. But when Fred became really old (he lived to 22 years) he started to have bladder problems. Once again Dr. Sue came to the rescue and 2 times each week she took the time to express the urine from his bladder. He was a trooper. But when his time came, about 6 months later, Dr. Sue was there so get us through Along came our next dog named Molly. She was a black lab mix. She was healthy for 10 years before she became diabetic. Again town and country became our place to go until she was too sick and we put her down. When Alex, our very special dog, started to slow down Dr. Sue sent us to a specialist to check her out. She was able to help Alex for a short time, which may have not been possible without the excellent referral. When it was time for Alex to leave us, the compassion of the staff at town and country was there to help us again. They even sent a sympathy card signed by the entire staff. We now have two more dogs, Hooch and Levi. Again town and country is where they go for their shots, annuals and any thing that comes up with the responsibility of owning a pet. We would just like everyone to know that for the past 15 years town and country has been the one place we can always depend upon to make sure our pets lead a healthy and happy life. I have used Town and Country East for over 8 years and love the staff and the way they treat my pets. They give excellent care and treat my pets like family whether it's a problem visit, a annual or boarding. My big dog Biscuit was seen by Dr Horne today and she answered my questions about my aging dog without making me feel like an idiot. She gave me helpful advice all while putting up with my 3 year old twins talking(shouting) in the background. Read Less

I love Town and Country East Vet. I would highly recommend them without even thinking twice about it. I have been going to them for 9 years...Ever since the day I rescued 1 of 2 dogs! Now I bring my other dog and won't take her anywhere else. They always make me and Dixie feel welcome, remember our names, and calm me down when I freak out when something's wrong. (Hah!) All the staff members are incredible. They always greet us with a warm welcome, pet Dixie and give her treats, and have a genuine smile. Town & Country East, the incredible staff, and Dr. Sue are absolutely the best and most caring vet office in the state. My family is and always has been, a huge dog family, and we have been going to Dr. Sue for over 20 years. She is absolutely the most caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and thorough veterinarian I have ever met...and I've lived in many different states and countries. Dr. Sue and her staff has one concern and only one concern...to ensure that everyone has happy and healthy pets. No matter day or night, Dr. Sue has always been there for us. Doctor Kohn was awful. He was rude, uncaring, and unsympathetic toward my pets' situation. He had zero sympathy for my dying 16 week old puppy and actually blamed me for what was happening to her because someone had gave her to me that could not care for her that purchased her from Petland. All he wanted to talk about was how she was a puppy mill dog and how awful I was for supporting puppy mills meanwhile my puppy was DYING. Also, the office agreed to take an emergency case and then he complained several times about how its 3:30 on Friday before memorial day weekend and how he didnt have time to do anything for her. I've been using Town & Country East for 4+ years. Very affordable! Not only do I love it here, my pets do too. I use the boarding facility multiple times a year and my dogs cannot wait to get out of the car and into the building. They love coming to stay. Forget about telling me goodbye! The Vets and the rest of the hospital staff are amazing. Every one is so kind and knowledgeable. I trust them 100% when it comes to the care of my furkids. My cats are even chill when they come in for a check-up. And lastly, the reception staff! Always friendly when I walk in the door, and they are happy to help me with anything; getting me on the appointment or boarding schedule or answering questions about Heartworm or Flea/Tick Prevention. I worked there until I quit in December and I love most of the staff that works there. They are brilliant. The manager and assistant manager I had to work with weren't the best at all. I was discriminated against for my disabilities and had my assistant manager try firing me over them. But much love from me to the wonderful pets I took care of. Dr. Sue is the most amazing, kind, and talented veterinarians I've ever experienced. She took care of and loved my dog until the very end. She performed 4 surgeries with the utmost precision and guided me in making the best choices for my pup. Even though I moved, she was still available to help me lay my girl to rest and did so with the most respect for life and death. Dr. Sue cried with me and hugged me until I was able to leave. It didn't matter how much time it had been since she had seen us, she still remembered Izzy. Her passion, dedication, love, and respect for pets and their people make this place incredible. Been to this clinic a couple times, the vets and vet technicians are fantastic, but the support staff has no patience for you or your animal. Both times we brought our dog they continued to to call her a different name even after numerous corrections. Also, they were rude to my wife. Not the best experience. Rate this place as good strictly for a couple people keeping the services at adequate levels. Read Less

They are so sweet at this location! It is a little out of the way for me considering the Town and Country on Gresham road is right by me, but I have not heard good things about that place and when I went there to look at dogs to adopt, it was not very clean and the staff was slow(I sat there in the little waiting room area for 20 minutes before the woman came out to take me to the back where the dogs are kept). The Town and Country East location has been great for me. I started going there because I got my dog as a rescue and the woman who owns the rescue my dog came from takes her animals to this location. I continued bringing my dog Jerry here and have no complaints. It is very clean and the women behind the counter are so sweet and helpful. Read Less
