We had a terrible experience here. We were recommended this vet by no less than three people, so we figured we couldn't go wrong. Our cat is a stray that my husband and I took in a few weeks ago, so we wanted to get him an exam and full round of shots: based on everyone's recommendations, we made an appointment here. During the first visit, we found out that our usually mild-mannered stray turns into the demon cat from Hell when the assistants try to do anything with him. We were told he'd need to be sedated in order to be looked at, and that it was too late in the afternoon to do so (3 pm). Okay, sure, no problem. They told us to bring him in next week at 8 in the morning so he could be sedated. We left, uncharged for anything since nothing could be done with him. The following week, I dropped him off promptly at 8am, and I was told to call around noon, and go about my day. At noon, I called, and was told he hasn't been seen yet due to a morning emergency Cesarean section, and to call again at two. I called at two and was told to pick him up at four-thirty. When I arrived, I was told he was unable to be sedated, and that absolutely nothing had been done with him. They asked if I wanted to reschedule the exam, and if I wanted them to at least give him the shots. I said yes to the shots, and the lady disappeared to the back; a few minutes later the entire waiting room and I heard a very much awake and irate cat meowing and hissing. She brought him out to me, charged me $60 for three shots, and sent me on my way. On the ride home, I noticed a foul smell, which on arrival at home turned out to be feces in his carrier. This is a very fastidious cat about using his litter box, so I can only assume he'd been stuck in his carrier all day with no food, water, or place to relieve himself. I thought they would have at least stuck him in a holding cage, but no - and they didn't even clean the carrier when they gave him his shots. So in short, my cat was stuck lying in his own filth for Lord knows how long, only to have nothing done with him for eight hours except for during the ten minutes I was there to pick him up.Obviously, we won't be returning. Maybe if you have a dog or exceptionally well-behaved cat, you'll have a better experience - but if they couldn't get him sedated they should've told me so I could have picked him up instead of just keeping him pointlessly locked in his carrier for upwards of 8 hours.
