The staff is nice. The doctors are very nice as well, and do seem to care. It was $600 to find out that they couldn't find out what was wrong with my cat. They wanted to charge me $40 to do a blood pressure test. Very expensive! I think if you don't have an emergency and you're just getting shots and you have lots of money it's an okay veterinarian. I came to Monroe veterinary clinic in an emergency situation with my dog and they took him right in. Dr. Anderson and the staff here are amazing. They have so much compassion for animals and people, they go above and beyond their duties to make sure your pet is getting the best care possible. I don't know what we would have done without them in our time of need. I know our baby wouldn't have gotten this kind of care and compassion anywhere else. They did everything in their power to make him comfortable and​ to keep him that way. They took time with me to explain everything and to answer all my questions. My husband and I can't thank the Monroe Veterinary Clinic enough for everything Dr. Anderson and the staff did for us in assisting us completing all the correct paperwork needed to move our two dogs overseas with us. To move overseas, there are a number of documents that you must provide and other tasks, such as vaccines and treatments, that must be completed within certain time periods and the Monroe Veterinary Clinic took the time to understand what needed to be included in each form and told us, if we needed anything changed or updated, to contact them and they would take care of it for us. Also, my husband and I are from out of state and were visiting family in Georgia and the Monroe Veterinary Clinic welcomed us and our two dogs with open arms, truly wanting to help. I have used Monroe Vet Clinic since I can't remember. Because of the excellent and compassionate care they give, one of my dogs lived to be 15 and the other 17. Now my cat is the ripe "young" age of 10 and still going strong. I also board my cat at the clinic because I know he will be taken care of and given the attention he needs while in a strange place. The doctors go above and beyond to see that your pet receives all that is necessary to keep them healthy and the staff is just as caring and professional. They all treat your pet as if it was their own. Dr. Henry Wall joined the ranks and has continued an excellent level of service and expertise. Dr. April Mitchell brings vision for a more modern clinic; however, the "old school" approach and touch is evident in her practice. Dr. Mitchell is very knowledgeable, responsible and up to date on trends in veterinary medicine. The staff is professional, courteous, caring, gentle, friendly and eager to give precious pets TLC and expert veterinary treatment. Over the years they have cared for my multiple pets through many injuries, illnesses, surgeries and routine treatments. They have cared for me and my pets in times of trauma and making the painful decision to "put a much loved pet down" - the clinic offers a very comfortable and private room for this loving time in your journey with your pet. Each visit I learn in the process and feel very well informed so that I may continue responsible and loving care for my furry critters! I cannot imagine trusting my pets in the care of anyone else! They were so good with my lab for 15 years. So of course I used them again when I rescued a kitten. I have recently used their boarding services and I am well pleased with the care she received and being separate from the loud barking dogs. After a trip to an emergency clinic with a very poor exam I thought my poor Great Pyrenees Sami need a $3000 surgery. I went to Monroe Veterinary Clinic where my family has always gone. They did a FULL exam with x-rays and a sonogram and to both Sami and myself's great relief it was only a UTI! Sami will always visit this place! Monroe is a 2nd family for both us and our 4 furkids. The care, love and professionalism is without a doubt pure peace of mind knowing that our babies will be given top priority treatment. Another thing I like is a large majority of staff & doctors work with rescue groups, pitties included as that is a favored breed with one staffer. I bring all of my personal pets and all of my foster pets to Monroe Vet Clinic because they are human beings who care about people and animals. They have shown me outstanding kindness. Most of my fosters are cats but when I was fostering a pit bull puppy they had great advice and gave me a prescription to get into a local state park for free so I could give her the exercise she needed.
