Beware!! We were once given a $700 plus estimate for tests and exams. No treatment. We also had to make multiple visits to address the same issue. It felt like the vet and her assistant were tag teaming me to try and force unnecessary tests and exams just to raise our ticket price. I’m sure all my dog needed was some antibiotics and maybe an ointment not ultrasounds and bloodwork and a list of who knows what. We had problems with my puppy’s paws. I feared maybe she’d sprained something or maybe a foreign object. I never once saw them check her paws thoroughly. I was told by the vet ” some puppies just don’t like their paws touched” and her assistant immediately agreed by nodding her head and looking my direction. Every visit felt like they were going to suggest as much stuff to provide an estimate so large that I’d just walk out. Which I actually did our last visit. Read Less

Had I of been a previous client, it would have been different, but I don't see what difference it makes if my dog is hurt! I live literally across the street!!. I called another vet 5 miles away and they worked me in right away! ... Ugh! I would've been a continuing customer since we are new to the area, but I will gladly take my dog to a vet who truly cares!! Read Less

I've been seeing Dr Jackson with my 2 Yorkies for over 10 years. She is very good at what she does; very thorough, and my dogs are at ease when she does their exam. The staff is also caring and knowledgeable. I do yearly exams, teeth cleaning, nails and boarding here. I trust only them with my dogs when they are under anesthesia. They let me see in the back and make my dog's bed in the medical bay when they were sick, and let me view the boarding area. I went to a major chain pet store when they had a special and they would not let me see in back where my dog would be???!!??! I walked out and drove straight to Peachtree Corners Animal Clinic. They are reasonably priced and even if I am only dropping them off for a few hours, I need to be reassured that they are in loving hands. Go where they care about your dogs. Go see Dr Jackson. I've been a client for 6 years with 2 dogs (Cassidy, who unfortunately has passed and Chase who is a new puppy) and an adopted cat (Jon Snow a/k/a Blaze), all of whom I consider my "kids". The staff at PTCAC are - without a doubt - the very best I've ever experienced. I've had pets for nearly 40 years, and several veterinary clinics during that time.  A good indication of a quality operation is one that retains their associates. Not only have some been there since I've been a client, they always recognize me and remember my pets' names. The front staff and techs are very knowledgeable, helpful and polite.  The doctors are terrific and keep you informed and are compassionate. Quite oddly, my dog loves going there. That's just nutty. Most importantly, I TRUST them. I will always recommend PTCAC highly to anyone who asks. Please keep up the great work and continue loving and caring for our important family members. My husband has compared Peachtree Corners prices to others in my area (I drive 30 miles for my animals to be seen here that's how much I love them) to see if it would be less costly and it isn't. A program where you can earn free nights. I was excited to here about this as I travel a lot. So I checked them out and took a tour of the hospital. It is an older facility but as I toured the care of the animals showed on all the pets that I did see while there. I went ahead and booked boarding for my boxer, which the process was very informative as to who to contact during an emergency, to proof of vaccines. I was impressed by the questions asked at the check in process. I did have to put down a deposit since I was a new client, but that did not seem out of the norm. I was only out of town for about 10 days. I called every few days to check in on him, as he was not eating well at the beginning but by the time I picked him up he seemed very happy and had started eating very well for the last few days. He had a bath that morning before I picked up which was great and I was informed at check out that I had enough points with the boarding program to have a free night. I will be using them for boarding for now on. I have not used them for vaccines just yet as my pet is currently up to date. But I plan to come back here for that. Read Less

Key Points**: Questionable diagnoses, apathetic to a family loosing their pet, unprofessional when confronted with the issue READ ON FOR FULL STORY I personally have not taken my pet to this vet, however, I accompanied a friend to the clinic as moral support when her cat of five years passed away unexpectedly following a less than thorough diagnoses by the vet. She described the vet's diagnoses as overly passive for a condition that was obviously serious. Tests for her cat were suggested, though they were not encouraged, information regarding the possible seriousness of the situation was in no way related, and my friend was led to believe that her cat's diarrhea/lethargy would soon pass with a few medications and care. However, her cat died very soon after the visit regardless of all advice executed, and all medications administrated as directed. THAT is not the issue. Pets pass away unexpectedly, many factors could be at play here, etc., and that is life, and my friend understands that. The issue arose when my friend called to express her concern that the diagnoses was not properly delivered and she would like a refund for the medications and diagnoses. This call was NOT about the money, it was in hopes that this clinic would refurbish there practice a bit, that future patients would be more thoroughly considered and other pet owners would not be subject to the distress herself and her family were in after losing a beloved friend. She hoped at the very least that the clinic would be empathetic and offer an apology for her family's loss. Instead she was met with aggressive denial over several phone calls and the vet was never in to talk to her. MY experience first hand at the vet was this. One of the ladies at the desk was helpful and cooperative(though of course the vet was "out" and they had no idea when the vet was to return and the refund was uncertain until the vet could OK it) until another woman came to the desk from the back rooms, slammed a piece of paper on the desk and told my friend to accept a return for flea medication, leave, and do not return or the police would be called on her. So we left. That is not how a veterinary clinic should be operated. A vet should be in practice for a reason- because they love animals and share empathy with all pet owners. Read Less

We have had our recently deceased dog and 2 cats there multiple times. The staff are caring and friendly to work with and gentle with the animals. When it came time to say goodbye to one cat and our dog (within a month of each other), they couldn't have been more gentle and helpful. Both had lived wonderful long lives and putting them down was traumatic to us. But they took time, had a nice room set up for us to say goodbye, had pawprints made into keepsakes for us- in short, they not only took care of our animals but also us. As any professional service nowadays, it isn't cheap but I found their prices in keeping with other vets we have used. This is very unsafe and potentially dangerous place for pets! My 5 years old cat died, unexpectedly, after the visit there, it was shocking! Customer care was terrible, they cared more about their image and money than understanding the loss and admitting the responsibility. The general manager never returned my phone call as was promised, and the women who spoke with me on a phone, Elena, was very defensive and did not have a clue how to listen or understand the emotions of a loss. She constantly kept interrupting me and was very fake. As a professional counselor, I was shocked that an animal clinic has a staff not trained in communication and understanding of a grief. I brought my cat there, and she died two days after the visit. In my opinion, they failed to diagnose her or provide clarity about what was wrong with the animal. They just mainly told me that she is dehydrated and has diarrhea, which was already obvious. Then, they gave her the medication (which I am not sure about its quality) and told me that she will be fine in 3-4 days. Unfortunately, I trusted them. Further testing was casually offered as a next step, but not explained as important to do or to be strongly considered. On a second day my cat died unexpectedly. When I called, their communication was terrible. They avoided returning my calls for a week, were defensive, and did not offer a decent reimbursement. When I came to talk to them in person, they threatened to call a police if I do not leave. They were too concern that the other customers will hear about my experience with them. This type of customer care is very unprofessional and demeaning. I highly recommend to avoid this place! PS. I just read all the reviews about this place. Josef, thank you very much for sharing your experience on another web site! Dr. Valentino also treated my cat and I felt that her diagnosis was ineffective and stole the time, which could be used to save my dear cat. I see that Elena, the business owner, reacted to your post on Yelp, in November, 2016. I cannot believe she was aware of this issue and nothing was done, and the same poor treatment happened to my cat that lead to her death. When she spoke on a phone with me she was so defensive, I could feel it, now I know why!!! Because they keep on mistreating the animals, even though similar complains were reported. This place is truly malicious and care only about themselves: unskilled in communication with people, and their apologizes and pathetic reimbursements hold no value, because no corrective actions are taken!!!!! They cannot treat, communicate, authentically empathize, negotiate, and even dare to threaten their customers with police in an attempt to silence them! SHAME!!!!!!!! Read Less

We have been taking our dog here on and off for a few years.  We could never quite put our finger on it, but we never loved it.  Something about this place doesn't seem like it's run quite right, and many of the doctors seemed to be rushed all the time. However, the location is very convenient for us and as far as regular check ups go they seemed to be ok.  TLDR; vets misdiagnosed our dog for weeks, charged us a decent amount of change, and missed what we now know is an extremely common issue that is easy to diagnose--more details, read on: Recently our dog started developing some serious issues with her legs to the point that one day she could barely get up.  We took her to the vet and Dr. Valentino could not quite figure out what was wrong with her even after several X-rays, but assumed arthritis.  She recommended we keep her overnight, give her several rounds of laser therapy (which she recommended would have to be an ongoing thing) and then gave us several prescriptions including shots we would have to administer for arthritis.  Cost was around $400 to us so far. After a week the dog was not any better.  We happen to have two vets in our family and we sent them the X-Rays.  It was clear to them the dog did not have arthritis and they said they would not have recommended any of the treatments Dr. Valentino recommended.  We took her back and a separate doctor, who was very nice and much more attentive than Dr. Valentino, checked her out again.  To their credit they did several more X-Rays at no charge as well as a physical (which did involve a charge) but still couldn't figure out what was wrong.  They recommended we see an orthopedic specialist.  The specialist diagnosed the dog almost immediately by just watching her walk.  A completely torn ACL ligament that required surgery.  Apparently an extremely common condition for dogs around this age.  After talking to the vets in our family, they confirmed this was extremely common and that a very simple examination that all vets should know how to do would have immediately revealed the issue.  Even though they did a lot of X-Rays, none of them focused on the knee area which a physical examination would have revealed was where all the pain was.  They both strongly urged us to not return to this vet any longer. If two of your doctor's hadn't missed the abnormal shape of my cats stomach 6 months ago, maybe I would not have to be mourning the loss of my cat today.  Almost 800 dollars later, I received no useful advice.  By the time I realized that both doctors were horribly wrong, it was close to too late.  I lost her recently, and I hold your doctor's at least partially possible.  I feel I was given a "kind" diagnosis rather than a truthful one.  That serves no one in the end, but made me feel modestly better for a week-- that is, until she died in my arms two days ago after receiving a terminal diagnosis at a real hospital--Blue Pearl. Wrong place to board your dog! I left my dog for 5 days there and got him back a in horrible condition! Both of his elbows and hock had large infected wounds which nobody at Peachtree Corners Animal Clinic noted until we came to pick him up. He had a high fever and could barely breath and walk. I assume, he got wounded on the first day when they were pushing him up to the run, since when we brought him for boarding, he was fine. And for 5 days they were (supposedly) taking him out 3 times a day and nobody noted that he was bleeding and smell of pass, coming from his wounds! Nobody called us, even though they asked for our contact phone numbers and we provided three of them. Nobody checked his temperature or weighted him even on the last day when we were picking him up, and they covered his wounds with bandage, so that we wont' see how badly he was injured during his stay at this clinic. He was neglected and had to suffer for all period of boarding without any help or care! Read Less

I have been a loyal customer for 4 years and have brought all of my pets here. In the last year I have noticed that the clinic is more concerned with making money than doing what is best for the animals and their family. Recently I needed to board two of our foster kittens. They had already had an exam and and their first round of shots. PCAC said they would need another exam at 42 each plus another round of vaccines at a grand total of $225.  this was just to board. I ran over to well humane pet and got the one shot they needed for $15 each. when I went to drop the kittens off, PCAC WOULD NOT accept their records and insisted I have to do an exam,  fecal exam and another set of vaccines. vaccines are a commodity and are exactly the same regardless of where you get them.  I ended up not boarding there and will NEVER go back there again. be wary. they are out to take your money.  that is all they care about! I passed by here on a Sunday and needed medical attn for my 2 year old Maltese. They are open 7 days a week and allowed me to come in right away. My dog's condition was declining rapidly and I was hysterical, as our dog is a part of our family. I found out she needed a $4,000 spine surgery or euthanization. I couldn't do either so Vet tech Carly Landry, Dr. McFarland, & Dr. Jackson all assisted in getting her on a steroid option. They kept her all day Monday to observe her and sent me home w medications. They called to check on her and the steroids improved her to where she can walk, not perfectly, but an improvement to buy us time to save up for the surgery. Their prices are fair, the staff really cares about our furry family members (and their owners), and they took it upon themselves to call all surgical centers and price-check the procedure. I've never been given a lasting impression at a vet like I did this one. This is where we will come from now on. Read Less

Last year, the vets at this clinic did a great job with my youngest cat.  However, when my older cat (8 yrs) had some gurgling sound when he purred loudly, we brought him to this place.  I didn't recognize any of the vets, but we trusted the business.  After x-rays, tests and numerous fees, they told us that Gemini probably did not have asthma, but probably did have congestive heart failure or a congenitally enlarged heart, sent us home with medicine and told us to bring him back the next morning for more x-rays.  When I brought him in, they thought he was there to be boarded.  I then signed a form that said I only authorized the x-rays, and to call if they wanted to do any other procedures, etc.  I got a call that afternoon saying they no longer thought it was either congestive heart failure or a congenitally enlarged heart, but probably was asthma (and "probably not cancer although it happens in 'older' cats'" like mine).  They said they had given him a shot, had more pills for me to give him (and told me to continue with the congestive heart failure meds "for a few more days), and wrote a prescription for an inhaler.  I was confused and flabbergasted, and when I went to pick him up, they wanted to charge me $33 for the shot.  I showed them the paperwork I had signed saying I didn't authorize anything but x-rays, and after talking with 2 people, was told that I could pay, then talk to the doctor, and if she gave the ok, I could get reimbursed!  And they still couldn't tell me what was really wrong with my cat!   Incompetence and swindling! Read Less

Read Less

I brought my dog here 2 yrs ago. He ate some hotdogs one night and the next morning he was laying in his own urine unable to move. I rushed him here and they said they needed to run all sorts of bloodwork. I felt like I had no choice but to do all they asked bc I thought my dog was dying. It was $700 for all his bloodwork and some medicine. They said he had 6 months to live. 2 yrs later and he is doing okay. His kidney levels are still high but he is okay. Read Less

Read Less

We have had dogs and cats (our babies) for many years and seen vets over that time but I've never been to a vet clinic as well run and friendly as this one. Not only were we treated like family from the first visit but even a follow up call the next day just like a people hospital. My neighbors recommended that I try Peachtree Corners Animal Clinic and it is the only place I'll be going from now on. A+ for the staff and doctors.

My pup of 15 years suddenly couldn't walk and... Yep, my family and I dropped everything we were doing and came here. Can you believe most vet places close at 1 on weekends!???Dr Brothers/the staff are amazing. My parents can't speak English very well but she made sure they understood. My pup went inside for maybe 2 hours and the doc gave us the meds. My dog got better slowly but surely and when we had to refill the meds, it was really simple. My dad had to pick them up and he said the staff was awesome and made sure to explain everything :) Read Less
