My dog had a gaping hole in her chest from a spider bite. The vet and her staff had it completely healed up within 2 weeks without the use of surgery and stitches. They were great and the staff greeted me and my dog by name every time we walked thru their doors. The staff was attentive and kind, always keeping me informed and apart of the the healing process. Very dissatisfied with the customer service.After this experience we will be switching vets. I called up to the office for questions on boarding and first reached Kristen (at the Vet office) very rude and curt. She was very upset I bothered her and called the vet office instead of the boarding office. Then reached Amber who was also very rude and curt. Worse vets office ever! My dog has had blood in her urine for over a year and they eventually told me she needed surgery to fix the problem. The fix to them was always x-rays and then the surgery. They were so confident. Well she had her $1000 x-rays/surgery and she still has blood coming out with her urine. The surgery was NOT the fix and now they are telling me she needs $300 more work because it could be another problem. They NEVER mentioned this prior to the surgery. I've got three fur babies and we've been coming to Godley for years and have always had a great experience. I felt the need to comment today because my hubby and I just left there and I was so impressed with Dr. Franklin. Dr Brown is who we usually see and he is phenomenal but Dr. Franklin was very gentle and kind. Marena, the vet technician was so awesome and caring. She took the time with our sweet Sammy as he has terrible anxiety and fear aggression. He never once barked or growled at Marena, I think he understood her kindness and felt safe and Unafraid around her. And I really appreciated how gentle she was with the procedures she performed on him. I just can't say enough good things about her, thank you Marena. All of the staff at Godley has always been very nice to us! We love taking our pets there, while it is pricey, I know that my pets are being well take care of! Read Less

Very upset with the way front desk staff Libby is every time we call. Our dog Roscoe was a patient until today. The doctors are great but when your dog is suffering and you are told to call another vet.... we can't help you for several days. To me is just unacceptable. When I tried to ask what I could do in the mean time until Roscoe could be seen.. I was cut off. So unfortunately this facility doesn't leave you much choice but to find a new friendly clinic. Please, please, please do not ever take your loved one here! I will try to keep this review short but in the long run I had to have my 6 year old kitty put down today because either of their lack of communication, incompetence, or laziness. Dr Howes is shady and the front desk is just useless. They messed up the blood results of my cat and when I took him to another clinic it 5 phone calls and over 6 hours for them to fax the files. I came to Godley Animal hospital with a cat I found. I also had to kennel him due to I was away for business. They gave him all of his checks and shots and kept me up to date with his well being. Additionally they let me visit my cat daily and where helpful and positive work staff. I felt 110% safe that my cat was in great hands! Thanks again! Read Less

This place is amazing! I've been taking my pet lulu here for years now. All of the doctors care so much about her well being. The customer service here is so great. The front desk ladies are always smiling and happy to see you. Any problem lulu has had, was taken care of efficiently. What I love about this place is that try aren't just after your money. I have seen two different vets at Godley Station, and have never had less than a fantastic experience. My dog is the first dog I have ever owned, and they have been an unbelievable asset to me as I learn about my dog, and have always provided first-rate care and service. Everything to do with my puppy has been easy, seamless, friendly, and customer-service oriented. I get more out of every visit, better followup, and attention to my pup than I have ever got from a human doctor/patient relationship. His neutering was done well - he rebounded better than I could have expected. When he is sickly, I leave feeling informed, listened to, and puppy ends up feeling better quickly! I cannot speak to cost as I have nothing to compare it to, but it seems reasonable and, for the level of service I receive, doesn't bother me in the least. Thank you guys for taking care of Wilson! The techs gave my puppy the wrong dose of medicine for a UTI and didn't realize their mistake until I asked numerous questions about the dosage, being that he was so young. They also did tests on him that were completely unrelated to the problem I brought him in for and tried to sneak charges into my bill. I've since moved over to Pooler Veterinary Hospital where I've had a much better experience, without any surprises. Read Less

Dr. Michael Brown was absolutely the best thing that happened to us yesterday morning considering the circumstances. We had an appointment with our regular vet at 204 Animal hospital but I knew our cat was not going to make it to 11 as he was in really bad shape and they couldn't see us earlier than 11 so I called Godley Station Animal hospital and they immediately told us to bring him in. When I got there, they took him back right away and put me in a room. No more than 5 minutes later, Dr. Brown comes in and and tells me that he's in congestive heart failure and also has a murmur. He gave me two options and the best one was to put him down due to all the fluid in his lungs and abdomen. He was suffering. Dr. Brown was very compassionate and caring. I'm 25 years old and I've never had a pet die or put down so this was a very new experience for me. He walked me through the steps and the process and not one time was money mentioned because people already know that they are going to have to pay something at the end and we really appreciated it not being brought up. He did such a great job during and after our boy was gone. They put him in a casket like box and Dr. Brown even carried him out to the car for me. Absolutely incredible. I have loved all the veterinarians I've ever had first of all. 2nd of all they made dealing with a loss of a  pet very easy for pick up and drop off of remains. Last, I did not enjoy my last vet tech. It was a guy that looked as if he was having the worst day of his life. He didn't want to be in the room with me not my pet and honestly, I didn't want him there. Made no small talk just straight to the point (as painless for him as possible I gather) and took my cat half way hanging out of his arms. I freaked out because my pets are in fact my children. He came back my cat hissed at me (which has never happened before him & what she experienced with him). It made me want to cry. He needs to find another profession. Read Less

Have been taking our pets here (1 80 lbs lab and 2 cats) for almost 6 months and really like them. They are fairly friendly and their prices are fair. When ever our pets required additional care, we never had the feeling that they were trying to "up-charge" us or sell us on a service our pets didn't need. All the vets and techs were knowledgeable and caring. We've also used the boarding services here, too. The prices are on par with other local boarding. The customer service at the boarding is... less than ideal, but the care my pets receive make up for it. They offer discounted baths and additional play time when boarding, so we capitalize on that. The first time I ever called this clinic, they answered on the 1st ring. The wonderful staff had me in the office within the hour, had her in surgery that afternoon, & saved my English bulldog's life. Have been bringing my dog in for years. The staff makes you feel as if they are doing you a favor by making you wait. I was ignored at the counter trying to check out for the last time. It appears that copying info from the computer screen is more important than waiting on customers. These ladies need a lesson in customer service. Read Less

Pretty disappointed in this place , I am very picky about where I board my dogs and thought I'd give this place a shot. Going out of town is already stressful enough and time consuming so dropping them off was put into the busy day before our travels also I live 45 min from there. We HAD to drop off our pets around 1230-100 that's what fit our schedule no big deal right? I received a short non apologetic voicemail at 1030 am letting me know if my dogs aren't there by noon they can't check in until after 2 due to a staff meeting. Well to be honest if I would have packed them up and flew up there who knows if I'd even make it by then.  If this was brought to our attention even yesterday we could have made arrangements to make it work. Now we have no choice but to bring them with us and hope to find boarding down in Florida since we are very tight on time and the boarding staff did not make us aware of this meeting until right beforehand , to me it's extremely unprofessional and now we have that much extra things to worry about , traveling them 5 hours in the car meanwhile finding a good boarding facility to take two large dogs last minute. I've brought my dog in several times for appointments or random issues and each time we seem to have to wait longer than the last. Our most recent visit for an abrasion on her back left us waiting in a freezing cold exam room for 2hours (with only short visits from a tech or dr) and resulted in a recommendation for exploratory surgery. She is a senior dog so I sought a second opinion and was absolutely devastated to understand that by flushing the wound with saline solution it showed how unnecessary the surgery would have been.  How does something so simple not get done before recommending surgery? Their boarding kennel is attached to the building and while I liked the idea of boarding my dog at her vets office, she never seemed to like it there at all and she has been fine at other boarding facilities.We will most certainly not be going back to this office. Our family has had positive experiences with Dr. Haupt, Dr. Michael and Dr. Howes. Dr. Michael is great with our dog Shelby. He always takes his time to listen and offers solutions with detailed explanations. He is compassionate and wonderful to work with. Dr. Howes spent lots of time on the phone and in office with me discussing my cat Sassy. He and Dr. Haupt's compassion dealing with the death of our beloved 17 year old kitty meant the world to us. The staff at Godley is amazing too. They truly love your pets and give them love and attention as if it was there own cat or dog. Did I mention I highly recommend them?!?!Read Less

In February our 13 year old pug, Vito, was near death. Dr. Howes worked on figuring out the underlying issues while we were in the office and would call us at home to follow up and to share new information he had learned through his research. We are so happy to say that our pug is still happy and healthy today. We love this practice and would highly recommend it to everyone! We also love the boarding facility and are happy to say both of our pugs love it there and come home happy as ever. When mentioning that I was boarding the pugs to go out of town, Dr. Howes put a note in to put them on the hospital side so that he could personally check on them. I recently had to rush my poor dog to this animal hospital. This was my first visit. Prior to driving there I called their office and there was a recording. I left a message but then I called back about three minutes later and they picked up. I told the receptionist  what was happening with my poor dog and she said that I could just bring him in as a walk in which was nice.My dog is 15 years old and has a very small body. I was worried that he could have congestive heart failure while he was suffering. Their location is convenient and very easy to find.Within minutes I brought my dog in and right away they took him in to be seen by a veterinarian which I really appreciated. This was while we waited in their large and comfortable reception area. The water that they have in the reception area is very cold which was nice when the weather was 95 degrees. About 20 minutes later they finally called for us to meet with the vet.Dr. David Howes was the one who diagnosed the problem and ended up being accurate about the solution. I can tell they care. He asked if I wanted my doggie to stay a couple of hours for observation. My doggie is not suffering and is very happy back to his old self now! If any of my dogs need  vet care or emergency animal care, I will definitely take my dogs here. Very pleased with customer service, quality of vet care, and waiting room area. Read Less
