Animal Care Clinic

Powder Springs, Georgia
General Info
Animal Care Clinic is a community-based veterinary practice located in Powder Springs, Georgia. During the first medical visits, the health professionals conduct lifestyle assessments in addition to the routine laboratory tests and vaccination schedules. The veterinary clinic conducts evaluations on pets to identify the initial symptoms of the disease, such as lower energy levels, pain when moving, and changes in appetite. Through the study of outward manifestations, a team is able to make suggestions on what needs to be done in order to prevent major future problems. The Animal Care Clinic also provides support with minor surgeries, dental hygiene issues, and prescriptions for long-term illnesses. Aid is available in regard to skin problems, age-related health decline, and constant digestive issues. Diagnostic plans could also entail imaging referrals or advanced blood testing depending on the condition and history available. Animals from Powder Springs and neighboring Georgia towns exhibit multiple health problems. The way the clinic implements record keeping and appointment booking facilitates both one-time and continuous care approaches. Behavior tracking of slow progressive conditions benefits from better continuity and fewer gaps. At Animal Care Clinic, diagnostic outcomes and environmental factors determine the need for adjustments in care schedules. Clients in Powder Springs are given post-op care instructions that combine medical insight and realistic everyday living targets. The clinic is a dependable source for health maintenance and counsel at every stage of pet ownership. The following services are offered at Animal Care Clinic: Allergy Testing, Vaccinations, Oncology, Wellness Exams, Laboratory Services, Reproductive Services, Senior Pet Care, Cardiology/Bloodwork and Emergency Care. This means that local pet owners in Powder Springs, and nearby areas, can access all types of veterinary services, from standard checkups to advanced procedures. I have used this very for many years.  I love the convenient location,  super large parking lot that's always empty (due to the grocery store next door closing).  Dr.  Joyce is a total sweetie that genuinely loves what she does & the pets she cares for.  I'm reducing my 5 stars to 4 because as I sit in the office right now waiting for the Dr I can't help but think that I was a complete & total inconvenience to the lady at reception.  I called yesterday to get an appt for my sick kitty.  During my phone call... WHILE I WAS TALKING... she put the phone down to have other conversations.  Several times!  Everytime she came back to me I had to start over since I wasn't sure what she had heard or didn't.  She interrupted me again by saying "hold on" (without waiting for me to acknowledge) to take other phone calls!! She's complained that no one in the office was helping her answer the phone.  At least 2x I apologized for bothering her.  OK,  so maybe yesterday was a fluke.  I'm here now & guess what??..  I was greeted by the same frazzled woman,  who again while I was telling her what was going on she (this time without notice) took a phone call!  The ONLY thing she seemed to have time to do was express her aggravation that I had not returned for f/u after my new kitty appt.  She gave me a list of things they would "have to do (insert huffing & puffing)" since my kitty had not been seen in a few months & last week decided to run outside & stay out for a few days. Me being nice, again apologized & asked if I should leave bc she seemed so busy! Wow! That's alot all I can say.  I'm still sitting here waiting for the Dr.  It's 9:15am. I had a 9:00 appt.  which is fine.  I have no problem waiting, it gave me time to write this review. Read Less

I should have gone with my gut instinct and the bad vibe I got when I pulled into the parking lot of this place. After being put in a room and filling out a short form, I spent 45 minutes of nothing, but the receptionist going back and forth giving me estimates and listening to her speak to another client that had her cat there about how much this will cost and that will cost. The estimate on the phone from the day before went from $198 to $290 I finally picked up the cat carrier and said to her “I think I need to find another vet all you seem to care about here is money.” I never even saw a vet very odd place indeed!!!!!! Flexible and reliable. Animal Care Clinic is the vet office that Georgia Homeless Pets rescue primarily uses for all of their spays, neuters and other vetting requirements. While not super conveniently located (for a Smyrna native at least), I can see why GHP prefers to work with them. I have heard through the foster grapevine that Animal Care Clinic is extremely flexible and is accustomed to working with the unique needs of a rescue. I have transported all three of my chihuahua-mix foster pups here for vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries and every experience has been good. All of the vet techs seem like huge animal lovers here. They are always offering up advice or friendly conversation and sometimes throwing in a free nail clip or loaning an e-collar for the benefit of the foster dogs.I love animal loving people. They are the best! Thank you for supporting the cause Animal Care Clinic! Read Less
