Carried my dog in due to skin problems. After being examined it was determined that problems were related to allergies and fleas. I was given many treatment options and all treatment costs were discussed before a plan of action was initiated. After the treatment was started, within 1 day major improvements were observed. I was also provided with many options for heartworm prevention and flea control. I have carried my other pets in on prior visits including cats. On those occassions, animals were treated for various ailments very successfully without costing a fortune. I will continue to use their services in the future. Read Less

They saved my baby! He was attacked by another big dog and they rushed my dog right in and were very thorogh in the exam. The team took every precaution necessary to insure my dog had the best possible care. They also did their best to make me feel at ease while they looked after my baby. Dr. Kahn helps my special needs kitty Vader. She has a chronic condition that requires ongoing care and he helps me be able to provide her that. I have a non-profit group that has been using Dr. Kahn for about 6 mos. now. The level of care and concern from this group of people is fantastic. They show compassion and professionalism with each dog or cat I bring in or send to them for care. We were very pleased with the kindness and compassion given when we brought our puppy in to be neutered. They took very good care of him. One thing I think all should know is if your going through Friends of animals they will not take that as payment even though it states it covers everything. You will have to pay for pain meds given after surgery and take home. They did however work with us on the IV charge and fluids. I would take my animals there for anything. Nice people. Read Less

Um - no way......I made an appointment for 4 in the afternoon today for both of my dogs. I went inside and filled out the paperwork to get started. The receptionist was having a bad afternoon and let out an audible "great" when a call dropped. I could tell she was trying very hard not to be rude, but was definitely having a hard time of it. As I sat there waiting, several people came in and it seemed like the vet's office was busy, too busy. The receptionist did mention they were short handed, apologized for the situation & assured me that she would be able to get to all of us shortly. At this point about 9 people were standing in the office waiting for something from this one person. Since both of my dogs were getting agitated by the crowd and other animals I was lead into the back by another person in a lab jacket. She was so rude and she ignored me while she filled out her paperwork  as I was explaining to her about my dogs. She never acknowledged me other than to tell me that my vet in San Diego had not forwarded my vet records to them. This was my opportunity to bail.. because of her rudeness and the confusion and disarray at the front desk, I didn't feel comfortable letting them anywhere near my dogs. I refused their services and left - I'm not handing over my boys to grumpy people, who knows how they would've been treated and I wasn't going to take that chance. This vets office deserves more than 5 stars! The office is very clean and the staff is amazing. We brought a pregnant kitten (probably 6 months old) into our home so she could have her kittens in a safe, clean environment. Mommy had 4 kittens, after caring for them for the recommended 12 weeks, we called rescue groups, we called different vets offices, we called friends, and family, still we could only find two of these wonderful kittens a home. A family member recommended we contact Powder Springs Vet Clinic, we sent them an email with the pictures of our kittens and the mommy cat, the staff responded very quickly to our email, after chatting back and forth, they told us that between them and a rescue group that could help us get them spayed, neutered, and vaccinated if we would want to keep mommy and her two left over kittens. We had already fallen in love with all of them including the ones that had found homes, so of course we told them yes! A couple days later we got to bring all of our kitties home spayed, neutered, and vaccinated. Their recovery did not take long and they are happy as ever! So for the month of June, they only take walk-ins. You absolutely cannot make an appointment the entire month of June. So I figured, it's Saturday, they open at 8am, so I'll get there around 8:30. The waiting room was full and I have an energetic puppy so I called to check in over the phone. At 8:34am. I checked in and shortly thereafter a nurse brought me the paperwork to fill out. At 8:48am, I turned it in and asked how long she thought the wait would be. "They're moving pretty fast so I'd say 15-20 minutes". Cool, no problem. I sat outside, played some Candy Crush, chatted with other owners...and then I checked the time. 9:35am. An hour after check-in. So I call the front desk, thinking I'm probably next to be called, no biggie. Nope, two more people in front of me. I confirm again that I definitely can't make an appointment and I'm told "well during the week it's much slower". Well naturally. Because people, like me, work. But thanks for the tip. I just can't justify spending more time waiting at the vet than I do my own doctor's office. Super disappointed. Read Less

I have been very happy with the care my animals have received here. He is so knowledgeable and does not try to make you do more than is necessary for the care of your pet.
