Terrible! Its been over a year since I last took my pups here, but the thought of this places infuriates me, so I decided to share my experience.
My first dog had impacted baby k9s when he was five months old. Dr. Dutta told me that if they didn't fall out by six months to bring him back and she'll take a look. Well, his adult k9s came in so I brought him in a little early. She told me that he'll be fine so long as tarter doesn't begin to stick around. I was told to come back when heshe eight months old. I brought him in before because the tarter was becoming more difficult to clean. Once again, they sent me away because "it's no big deal. He's fine". I took him to my mom's vet in South Carolina a few days latet and they removed them the next day because his gums were starting to get infected.
One day my first dog was having trouble breathing, so I called the vet and they said I could bring him in. He was fine when they finally called him back, but I went through with the visit because I had no idea what had happened. I showed dr. Dutta the video I had recorded and she said, with a very condescending tone, "that's just a backwards sneeze. Did you not bother to Google his symptoms before calling?" Uhm, no. I wasn't going to trust my dogs life to Google. She then showed me a video of another dog suffering from a backwards sneeze. I paid $40 just be the shamed for wasting the vets time and not checking with Google first. Thanks, Dr. Dutta.
My second dog. He was fully grown, yet emaciated when we first brought him home. A Yorkie barely weighing four pounds. I asked what they would suggest doing to help bring his weight up, they told me to give him time. Hea growing and he may just be a tea cup Yorkie. Hes fully grown at this point, just skin and bones. He's too tall and his body is too long to be a tea cup yorkie. I left it alone. I asked her what could be wrong with his hips, because he couldn't sit like a normal dog, he couldn't move his hind legs, he couldnt jump, and he seemed to be in constant pain. She told me that it's either growing pains or he needs to be neutered. She claimed nothing was wrong with his hips. I had planned to get him neutered anyway, so I told them I would schedule it when he was at a healthy weight. She told me that the sooner I get him neutered the better.
Two months later he weighed seven pounds, so I called to schedule to get his impacted baby k9s removed and to get him neutered. Two weeks later, I drop him off. Eight hours later they return him to me covered in poop. That's the last time we paid to have my pups seen by dr. Dutta and her staff. I had his stitches removed a couple weeks later and never returned to her practice.
I ended up taking Buddy, my second dog, to my mom's vet to get his hips checked out. His hips were deformed and he needed to have surgery. The vet gave me a prescription pain medication to give to him until he was old enough to have surgery. He had an fho in April and now he can sit like a dog, lay down comfortably, run, jump, climb, and do everything else he couldn't do before.
Thanks again, Dr. Dutta. You neglected to treat my dogs properly, and if it wasn't for vets who cared and did their job well, they'd be miserable. Read Less
