We love Dr Allison and the staff at Allison Animal Care. They've taken excellent care of our dog Finn that we adopted last year. Finn loves coming to see Dr Allison, he gets treats and ear scratches every time, it's so nice to be able to bring him to a vet where he feels safe! They are very mindful of what's best for the pet, but also are sensitive to budget issues, and have even helped us via phone for minor issues before.

I have lived in Savannah for about 7 years and have gone through a handful of vets in the area for various reasons. Dr. Allison and her team were the perfect fit for me and my 3 crazy furkids from the get-go. Unlike other private practices, there is a very short wait before I'm sent back to an exam room, their staff genuinely believes in applying the professional human-animal bond and Dr. Allison always explains the "why" behind her diagnoses thoroughly. I've finally found my vet!

Dr. Allison Witherow is the most caring and compassionate veterinarian I've ever met! I have had my furbaby, Tigerlilly for 15 years now. It's always been just me and him. He's my child and my best friend. So when his health began to deteriorate last year she was genuinely very concerned and did everything she could to find out what was wrong with him and to improve his health. Even going as far as keeping in contact with me to make sure that not only he was ok but I was ok as well after he was diagnosed with diabetes. This year I'm sad to say he has been diagnosed with non-treatable carcinoma cancer. Dr. Allison has been walking me step by step through this very difficult process and helping me make sure he is as comfortable as he can possibly be. The staff here is also absolutely incredible!!! They have all been so sweet and helpful and clearly care a great deal about all of the animals.

After recently moving to the area, I was very unhappy with the first area vet we chose (VCA). We have a houseful of animals and one who has had chronic issues her whole life. I decided to switch to Dr. Allison after talking to her staff on the phone and I am so glad I did. Dr. Allison listened to me as the mother/ owner of the animals and was willing to find the balance between care, cost and the best quality of life for my animals. After numerous visits I can say that I've not waited more than a few minutes for my appointment. They've streamlined the checkout process so everything - even payment - is done right in the exam room. The staff are super friendly - after only one visit I was recognized and greeted by name as were my pets. I can't say enough how thrilled I am that we found Dr. Allison.

I've been to 5 other vets in Savannah, and while they were good, I felt like there was room for improvement. Finding Dr. Allison after a few coworkers reccomended her has been a blessing. She has been the only vet I've trusted so much to let her finally perform dental surgery on my senior dog, which went great. Her and her staff really go above and beyond to give your pet the best care possible. She gives you all the options up front and doesn't push you to make a decision you're not comfortable with. She has truly improved the quality of life for my cat and dog and I'm so grateful. She will be our vet as long as we live in Sav!

Allison has been my primary veterinarian since moving to Savannah three years ago. She performed the spaying of my dog Annie and provides regular annual check ups. In addition, she has worked with me in finding a solution to my Annie's seizures. Due to Allison's hard work, Annie can now be taken on regular walks and trips without the seizures. Allison's genuine love for animals really shines through her work. Her rates are fair and her office staff is always friendly and helpful. For as long as I am in Savannah, Allison will be our veterinarian.

The team here is wonderful, they are so attentive and kind. I've owned pets for most of my life and through moving have used many vets and Allison is by far the nicest most down to earth vet I've met. She tells you upfront what's going on, your options and what they mean, and course of actions following your decision. When my pup had a serious issue she was so helpful in getting us in ASAP when we needed it and consulted with several other specialists on our behalf so we could get the fast answer we needed. It turned out to be cancer and because Allison went above and beyond to help us we were able to get this quick diagnosis and make a decision that best suited my dogs needs. I would never recommend another vet other than Allison and her wonderful staff.

There was a mention earlier of apoquel and the customer was not happy it was even brought up. She put my little yorkie on it and it has saved our sanity and his. I can't say enough good about this animal hospital . Highly recommended

Dr. Allison Witherow is a phenomenal veterinarian! She and her staff are very passionate at what they do and always have the animals' best interest at heart! They're non judgmental when you bring in a pet that needs help and understand that not every pet owner has the financial means to provide life saving treatments for their babies. I'm not saying they will wave their hand and say "considered it payed", but are willing to help the owners just as much as they help their patients. Dr. Witherow does have a small practice, so there's no need to worry about not receiving personal and individualized care. MILITARY FAMILIES: Allison's Animal Care is MILITARY FRIENDLY and do provide discounts!!!!!

So... 3 months ago we took Jack to the vet feeling about 90% positive that he needed to be put down. He slept nearly all day and only got off his pillow to eat (which he only did sometimes), go outside to go to the bathroom, and to walk in the kids rooms when they were going to bed. We felt like for 13 years old, he had lived his life. He was losing all of his hair, gaining weight, falling down, and we could tell he was just miserable. Well, our new vet (Dr Allison in Savannah) encouraged us to try just a few things... she was very hopeful she could turn this around... well after 20 teeth removed and daily thyroid medicine, this sweet 13 yr old man is literally a new puppy! He RUNS when he's outside now, begs me take him on daily walks and even brings me his leash, he cuddles with the kids on the couch, has lost weight and all his hair has grown back... and then some! We are so happy to have a few more years with this old man and are so thankful for a vet who took the time to truly give us hours of her time to explain to us how to save our Jack! #AllisonAnimalCare #drallison

Brought my sick cat in that was burning up with fever and her and the staff were very nice and gave my cat some fluids under his skin and a shot to help bring fever down and an antibiotic since he was running a fever for unknown reason. My mother said at the time do whatever it takes to same our cat we'll pay it. As most people would say if their pet is sick. When the nurse brought the 253$ bill in my mom only had 200$ to give and we would be able to bring the rest in on Fri when I got paid. My mom has MS and is on disability. Allison then flew in the room with a changed attitude like jeckle and Hyde and said in exact words "You said You'd give me whatever I asked for!!" Never have I witnessed a so called professional behave like this not to mention so uncaring over $50 from a disabled person. After her meltdown she reluctantly agreed. The sweet nice nurse with red hair came in after that and tried to give my mom some of her money back so it wouldn't leave her broke and told us not to worry bout the $53. Would never take an animal back this lady who is uncaring over 50$ and also has mood changes that quick. Wouldn't trust her to be alone with my animal after her crazy behavior!!

I should have posted a review sooner, but Dr. Allison is the best Vet I've ever came across, and a fantastic person to boot! She takes great care of my husky mix, but my parents house was significantly damaged by Hurricane Mathew, and she's answering calls at home, met us at the office (with no power!) and checked out my parents two cats and got them flea medication in preparation of a long hotel stay while my parents house is repaired/ rebuilt. Absolutely above and beyond the call of duty, and I can't recommend her highly enough. I'm sure your Vet might be great, but Dr. Allison is better!

I had tried so many vet clinics before and I finally found MY veterinarian. Only "Dr. Allison" was able to help my tiny little Maltese Terrior's chronic skin infection and constant itching and ear infection. After one visit, Dr. Allison gave us some meds (that no other vet had prescribed), and now my Mitzi is a doggy that doesn't scratch until her skin bleeds and is perky and playful and happy. I highly recommend Allison Animal Care. The clinic is clean and bright and the staff is courteous and caring. Dr. Allison listens and considers your thoughts on the problem, explains solutions and spends the time with you to make sure a plan of action is understood. I can't ask for more than that. My Mitzi is finally cured and our whole family is thrilled!

Such compassionate and caring staff! I came in with my 9 year old dog on a Saturday at 10:30 a.m. when they close at noon. Dr. Allison was eager to help, with us both knowing he would need major emergency surgery. It is not about the money with her. She gave me an estimate over the phone prior to my arrival and when it was all over, she stayed on course. Also, when I brought him in, having been through this before with my "hoover", she suggested that xrays would only be a waste of my money, because the item I believed he had eaten probably would not have shown up. She could have pushed the xrays to get $170 but she didn't. They were closed until Monday but she stayed with him until midnight and pretty much the whole weekend. She lives close by the clinic. She called me 4 times to report how he was doing on Sunday. I was not an established patient yet Dr. Allison and her staff treated me like I had been there forever. I love them!! The clinic is spotless and well organized.

I have lived in Savannah for about 7 years and have gone through a handful of vets in the area for various reasons. Dr. Allison and her team were the perfect fit for me and my 3 crazy furkids from the get-go. Unlike other private practices, there is a very short wait before I'm sent back to an exam room, their staff genuinely believes in applying the professional human-animal bond and Dr. Allison always explains the "why" behind her diagnoses thoroughly. I've finally found my vet!

Dr. Allison Witherow is the most caring and compassionate veterinarian I've ever met! I have had my furbaby, Tigerlilly for 15 years now. It's always been just me and him. He's my child and my best friend. So when his health began to deteriorate last year she was genuinely very concerned and did everything she could to find out what was wrong with him and to improve his health. Even going as far as keeping in contact with me to make sure that not only he was ok but I was ok as well after he was diagnosed with diabetes. This year I'm sad to say he has been diagnosed with non-treatable carcinoma cancer. Dr. Allison has been walking me step by step through this very difficult process and helping me make sure he is as comfortable as he can possibly be. The staff here is also absolutely incredible!!! They have all been so sweet and helpful and clearly care a great deal about all of the animals.

After recently moving to the area, I was very unhappy with the first area vet we chose (VCA). We have a houseful of animals and one who has had chronic issues her whole life. I decided to switch to Dr. Allison after talking to her staff on the phone and I am so glad I did. Dr. Allison listened to me as the mother/ owner of the animals and was willing to find the balance between care, cost and the best quality of life for my animals. After numerous visits I can say that I've not waited more than a few minutes for my appointment. They've streamlined the checkout process so everything - even payment - is done right in the exam room. The staff are super friendly - after only one visit I was recognized and greeted by name as were my pets. I can't say enough how thrilled I am that we found Dr. Allison.

I've been to 5 other vets in Savannah, and while they were good, I felt like there was room for improvement. Finding Dr. Allison after a few coworkers reccomended her has been a blessing. She has been the only vet I've trusted so much to let her finally perform dental surgery on my senior dog, which went great. Her and her staff really go above and beyond to give your pet the best care possible. She gives you all the options up front and doesn't push you to make a decision you're not comfortable with. She has truly improved the quality of life for my cat and dog and I'm so grateful. She will be our vet as long as we live in Sav!

Allison has been my primary veterinarian since moving to Savannah three years ago. She performed the spaying of my dog Annie and provides regular annual check ups. In addition, she has worked with me in finding a solution to my Annie's seizures. Due to Allison's hard work, Annie can now be taken on regular walks and trips without the seizures. Allison's genuine love for animals really shines through her work. Her rates are fair and her office staff is always friendly and helpful. For as long as I am in Savannah, Allison will be our veterinarian.

The team here is wonderful, they are so attentive and kind. I've owned pets for most of my life and through moving have used many vets and Allison is by far the nicest most down to earth vet I've met. She tells you upfront what's going on, your options and what they mean, and course of actions following your decision. When my pup had a serious issue she was so helpful in getting us in ASAP when we needed it and consulted with several other specialists on our behalf so we could get the fast answer we needed. It turned out to be cancer and because Allison went above and beyond to help us we were able to get this quick diagnosis and make a decision that best suited my dogs needs. I would never recommend another vet other than Allison and her wonderful staff.

There was a mention earlier of apoquel and the customer was not happy it was even brought up. She put my little yorkie on it and it has saved our sanity and his. I can't say enough good about this animal hospital . Highly recommended

Dr. Allison Witherow is a phenomenal veterinarian! She and her staff are very passionate at what they do and always have the animals' best interest at heart! They're non judgmental when you bring in a pet that needs help and understand that not every pet owner has the financial means to provide life saving treatments for their babies. I'm not saying they will wave their hand and say "considered it payed", but are willing to help the owners just as much as they help their patients. Dr. Witherow does have a small practice, so there's no need to worry about not receiving personal and individualized care. So... 3 months ago we took Jack to the vet feeling about 90% positive that he needed to be put down. He slept nearly all day and only got off his pillow to eat (which he only did sometimes), go outside to go to the bathroom, and to walk in the kids rooms when they were going to bed. We felt like for 13 years old, he had lived his life. He was losing all of his hair, gaining weight, falling down, and we could tell he was just miserable. Well, our new vet (Dr Allison in Savannah) encouraged us to try just a few things... she was very hopeful she could turn this around... well after 20 teeth removed and daily thyroid medicine, this sweet 13 yr old man is literally a new puppy! He RUNS when he's outside now, begs me take him on daily walks and even brings me his leash, he cuddles with the kids on the couch, has lost weight and all his hair has grown back... and then some! We are so happy to have a few more years with this old man and are so thankful for a vet who took the time to truly give us hours of her time to explain to us how to save our Jack! #AllisonAnimalCare #drallison

Brought my sick cat in that was burning up with fever and her and the staff were very nice and gave my cat some fluids under his skin and a shot to help bring fever down and an antibiotic since he was running a fever for unknown reason. My mother said at the time do whatever it takes to same our cat we'll pay it. As most people would say if their pet is sick. When the nurse brought the 253$ bill in my mom only had 200$ to give and we would be able to bring the rest in on Fri when I got paid. My mom has MS and is on disability. Allison then flew in the room with a changed attitude like jeckle and Hyde and said in exact words "You said You'd give me whatever I asked for!!" Never have I witnessed a so called professional behave like this not to mention so uncaring over $50 from a disabled person. After her meltdown she reluctantly agreed. The sweet nice nurse with red hair came in after that and tried to give my mom some of her money back so it wouldn't leave her broke and told us not to worry bout the $53. Would never take an animal back this lady who is uncaring over 50$ and also has mood changes that quick. Wouldn't trust her to be alone with my animal after her crazy behavior!!

I should have posted a review sooner, but Dr. Allison is the best Vet I've ever came across, and a fantastic person to boot! She takes great care of my husky mix, but my parents house was significantly damaged by Hurricane Mathew, and she's answering calls at home, met us at the office (with no power!) and checked out my parents two cats and got them flea medication in preparation of a long hotel stay while my parents house is repaired/ rebuilt. Absolutely above and beyond the call of duty, and I can't recommend her highly enough. I'm sure your Vet might be great, but Dr. Allison is better!

I had tried so many vet clinics before and I finally found MY veterinarian. Only "Dr. Allison" was able to help my tiny little Maltese Terrior's chronic skin infection and constant itching and ear infection. After one visit, Dr. Allison gave us some meds (that no other vet had prescribed), and now my Mitzi is a doggy that doesn't scratch until her skin bleeds and is perky and playful and happy. I highly recommend Allison Animal Care. The clinic is clean and bright and the staff is courteous and caring. Dr. Allison listens and considers your thoughts on the problem, explains solutions and spends the time with you to make sure a plan of action is understood. I can't ask for more than that. My Mitzi is finally cured and our whole family is thrilled!

Such compassionate and caring staff! I came in with my 9 year old dog on a Saturday at 10:30 a.m. when they close at noon. Dr. Allison was eager to help, with us both knowing he would need major emergency surgery. It is not about the money with her. She gave me an estimate over the phone prior to my arrival and when it was all over, she stayed on course. Also, when I brought him in, having been through this before with my "hoover", she suggested that xrays would only be a waste of my money, because the item I believed he had eaten probably would not have shown up. She could have pushed the xrays to get $170 but she didn't. They were closed until Monday but she stayed with him until midnight and pretty much the whole weekend. She lives close by the clinic. She called me 4 times to report how he was doing on Sunday. I was not an established patient yet Dr. Allison and her staff treated me like I had been there forever. I love them!! The clinic is spotless and well organized.
