We are dedicated to enhancing and improving the health of dogs and cats. Central Animal Hospital also offers an in-house pharmacy with a large array or flea and heartworm prevention, in-house diagnostic testing and over-the-counter products such as food, medicines and dental treats.

I'm currently in Savannah from out of town and will not be home for another week, I called to see if they would be able to see my dog as something is wrong with her and I can't figure out what it is and they instantly said we can't see your dog we are booked. So I then asked for a suggestion to another place and the woman on the phone simply said "well just google". She was unhelpful and very uninterested in the well being of my dog.

We brought our dog in a few days ago and they did such an amazing job taking care of all of us. The front desk staff was cheerful and the nurse was also very sweet to our dog. The doctor and all the staff seem to really care about the animals and they've gone beyond what was asked to make sure our dog is healthy. The doctor even called back two days later to check up on our dog. Thank you for being so kind and helpful!

I want to start by saying how loving and compassionate Dr. Taylor is. She is so kind and her love for animals just radiates through her work. She is thorough, thoughtful, and accommodating. The staff at this office is also so very helpful and understanding. I have been using this vet since they were on Hwy 17 about 13 years ago, and they have only improved. They take great care of my 3 dogs, especially my 13 year old chi hua hua named Bentli. I will always recommend this office!!!

The BEST place to take your fury family members !The whole team at Central are professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable.The front desk staff, techs, and veterinarians are so good at taking care of my 2 favorite dogs in the world, I wouldn't take them anywhere else.Tad is the best tech he knows my dogs well. Got a clean bill of health for my cat after voicing concerns about him having problems with urinary tract obstructions. 8 hours later i had to rush him to the emergency vet with a blockage that this doctor did not recognize. My cat has to stay at the emergency vet clinic for 2 days and was in severe pain, all thanks to the incompetency of this vet. The doctor was more interested in getting a cute picture of my cat for their facebook page than in actually examining him.

I had an amazing experience at Central Animal Hospital! We found a tiny stray cat inside of a school where I work, so, me being the crazy cat lady I am, decided to take her home. I made an appointment with Central Animal Hospital that same day. The vet is located right on Bull Street with plenty of street parking. I also loved the interior of the building. It is trendy and almost feels like a cool, hipster coffee house until you see the paintings of dogs and cats on the walls. Let me just say, the vet tech Diana was absolutely amazing. I loved her sense of humor and she was very knowledgeable about kittens. She put me at ease about taking in a little street kitty. We saw Dr. Taylor, who was also very sweet. She told us our options on vaccinations and tests without pushing any unnecessary products or treatments. We already have an appointment to come back for the next set of kitty vaccines! I highly recommend this practice.

Love Central animal hospital! They always seem to understand "where I am with my animals" . Can't say enough of how I really appreciate them. I was really concerned about his last visit but they made for feel comfortable and at ease emotional and financially.

As a long time Great Dane owner I've had some experience with vets and Dr. Hill was very good but not everyone else is. One day I sat in the waiting area for a full hour because they were understaffed but I didn't mind, I know running a small business can be difficult at times. About a month later, on a Saturday I needed to pick-up some pain medication, time got away from me and then I realized they were going to be closing in a few minutes. I called and asked if they could wait until I got there, the receptionist put me on hold so she could ask the vet on duty, a woman but I don't remember her name. While on hold, I got in my car and drove there (7 blocks) and when the receptionist came back to my call I was parking my car right in front of their door. I was told I was too late and my 13 year old Great Dane would just have to wait until Monday. It was only 3 minutes after their closing time and I pleaded for the medication as I stood looking in the front door with the vet and receptionist looking back at me! Finally they opened the door, I thanked them and I apologized for my inconveniencing them. The vet, about half my age, told me I had to "learn better time management skills!" I told her of my hour wait a month before hoping she might soften her tone but she assured me that the wait was most likely caused by some other dog owner. I told her not to worry, I'd never be back again and I haven't. On Monday I was hoping that I would get a call from someone trying to keep my business but it didn't happen. I want to see every small business succeed but only if they want to.

When I left Savannah, I was truly crushed to leave this wonderful office full of compassionate vets and kind techs and receptionists. For the five years I lived in Georgia, Central Animal Hospital took such wonderful care of my boys. The doctors were always so sweet with my dogs and so genuinely interested in their care. They were thorough and knowledgeable in treatment plans, and always explained to me what they had in mind. The techs always took such loving care of my boys, whether they were coaxing my dogs onto the scale to be weighed or taking a very nervous little guy in the back for an IV. We never once had a bad experience. The entire staff is just wonderful, and the office is the cleanest and most visually pleasing vet's office I've ever been to. 10/10, would recommend.

I have a yorkie, his name is Bruiser, he was having problems with his left leg, knee, etc. His quality of life was getting pretty bad. I took him to see Dr. Daniel Iyer, he is FABULOUS! He reconstructed Bruiser's left knee cap, I trust him completely with my baby bruiser. The staff had been amazing and very helpful. I highly recommend central animal hospital. Thank you Dr Daniel!

I cant say enough good things about these guys. Ive been dealing with Dr. Hammons for years and shes always very helpful, super knowledgable and very compassionate about caring for my animals. On my last visit, Dr. Hammons was off and I was helped by Dr. Iyer and Dr. Hill. They helped me deal with a difficult situation with a sick cat and were extremely kind, professional and communicative in every step of the process. Anna, the tech was also really helpful and friendly to deal with. Every person weve dealt with there really does a great job. This is a great group of people who very obviously care about what they do and it shows in the experience we have when we go there.

I took Casper into his first vet appointment in Savannah today. I was as nervous as he was, or maybe even more. I loved the nurse, and I absolutely enjoyed the doctor, Daniel Iyer. They were gentle and very quick with their examinations. I've never felt more comfortable with vets around him before, and I definitely feel at ease bringing Casper back to see them. The only problem I had was with the front office staff. I knew my mother had taken Casper in for a few shots before he moved here, but the receipt from the previous vet didn't show updated records. So, instead of trying to contact the previous vet, or at least talking me through another solution, I was kind of disregarded like I didn't know what I was talking about. I felt cornered into deciding to get him vaccinated for things I was sure he had been through already. Sure enough, when I got home and called the previous physician myself, I found out he had all but two shots: the two I went in for. I know as an owner, a lot of that was on me. I should have brought his rabies tag and rescheduled my appointment. I just would've liked a little more tenderness from the staff. I'm new at full-time pet ownership and it made the environment stressful for me and pup, so I went ahead and followed through with their suggestions. Next time, I'm going to follow my gut and refuse services I know Casper doesn't need. If the front staff had the same caring attitude as the physicians, I would be head over heels with this place. Bright side: Casper won't be getting rabies any time soon!

Michael met us outside and carried her in; they had blankets ready,were caring and thorough. They made themselves available for me to call at anytime and allowed me to stop by to check on her during their lunch. Unfortunately, I had to let her go that day but I know we were giving her the best care possible and their support allowed me to make the best decisions for her. Dr Hill was so loving with her and his heart for his work was obvious. His words provided comfort during one of the hardest moments of my life. I received an unexpected card signed by everyone in the office and a paw print in the weeks after. I'm forever grateful for people that provide the ever important service of caring for our pets and understand the place they hold in our heart.

Central Animal Hospital is a wonderful place for your loved pets! They saved my 6 year old guinea pig's life a few weeks ago! I am so thankful for their help and care. Not many vets will work on such small animals. They were sure to get her into the office asap to see her. Penny had to have "surgery" to remove a super large abscess on her face. I was very nervous to have such a small animal worked on, but everything went great and they saved her life! I appreciate that they called several times to check up on Penny as well after her visit. That meant a lot! Great place!

I have been coming here over 10 years, we have a VERY large 4 legged family. 4 Big dogs and over 1 dozen cats, which have all been fixed and vaccinated (we work for food) They take such good care of all of them, from the best behaved to the grumpy ones. I could not imagine going anywhere else now that I have found them.
The front desk staff and vet techs are always friendly and compassionate, and will go out of their way to help. We had a rescue that needed special food and she helped arrange a trial to help with the cost!
During a very sad time, They shared our loss.
Dr Hill, you are the dog whisperer, and Dr Hammond, my cats just love you.
The fees are reasonable, the staff is great, I highly recommend and I AM a lifelong customer

The front desk was not overly friendly but the vet and support staff were amazingly friendly. And the front desk was friendly towards another lady so maybe just me, ha ha. The free mail trim and eat cleaning is a true godsend and prayer request as I do fair with the nail bit and horrible with the ears. There should be an easy book on dog ownership. Anyhow, it helps that Chewie seems to love it here... even the blood work didn't bother him so it's a go!

I'm currently in Savannah from out of town and will not be home for another week, I called to see if they would be able to see my dog as something is wrong with her and I can't figure out what it is and they instantly said we can't see your dog we are booked. So I then asked for a suggestion to another place and the woman on the phone simply said "well just google". She was unhelpful and very uninterested in the well being of my dog.

We brought our dog in a few days ago and they did such an amazing job taking care of all of us. The front desk staff was cheerful and the nurse was also very sweet to our dog. The doctor and all the staff seem to really care about the animals and they've gone beyond what was asked to make sure our dog is healthy. The doctor even called back two days later to check up on our dog. Thank you for being so kind and helpful!

I want to start by saying how loving and compassionate Dr. Taylor is. She is so kind and her love for animals just radiates through her work. She is thorough, thoughtful, and accommodating. The staff at this office is also so very helpful and understanding. I have been using this vet since they were on Hwy 17 about 13 years ago, and they have only improved. They take great care of my 3 dogs, especially my 13 year old chi hua hua named Bentli. I will always recommend this office!!!

The BEST place to take your fury family members !The whole team at Central are professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable.The front desk staff, techs, and veterinarians are so good at taking care of my 2 favorite dogs in the world, I wouldn't take them anywhere else.Tad is the best tech he knows my dogs well. He goes out of his way to say hello to us even if he's busy.Everyone there is Awesome !!!!!!

Got a clean bill of health for my cat after voicing concerns about him having problems with urinary tract obstructions. 8 hours later i had to rush him to the emergency vet with a blockage that this doctor did not recognize. My cat has to stay at the emergency vet clinic for 2 days and was in severe pain, all thanks to the incompetency of this vet. The doctor was more interested in getting a cute picture of my cat for their facebook page than in actually examining him.

I had an amazing experience at Central Animal Hospital! We found a tiny stray cat inside of a school where I work, so, me being the crazy cat lady I am, decided to take her home. I made an appointment with Central Animal Hospital that same day. The vet is located right on Bull Street with plenty of street parking. I also loved the interior of the building. It is trendy and almost feels like a cool, hipster coffee house until you see the paintings of dogs and cats on the walls. Let me just say, the vet tech Diana was absolutely amazing. I loved her sense of humor and she was very knowledgeable about kittens. She put me at ease about taking in a little street kitty. We saw Dr. Taylor, who was also very sweet. She told us our options on vaccinations and tests without pushing any unnecessary products or treatments. We already have an appointment to come back for the next set of kitty vaccines! I highly recommend this practice.

I have been going here since my dog was six weeks old he is 5 now. I just love Dr. Hill and his staff. They always show such compassion when we go there for a sickness it just regular check up. Can't say enough of how I really appreciate them. I was really concerned about his last visit but they made for feel comfortable and at ease emotional and financially.

As a long time Great Dane owner I've had some experience with vets and Dr. Hill was very good but not everyone else is. One day I sat in the waiting area for a full hour because they were understaffed but I didn't mind, I know running a small business can be difficult at times. About a month later, on a Saturday I needed to pick-up some pain medication, time got away from me and then I realized they were going to be closing in a few minutes. I called and asked if they could wait until I got there, the receptionist put me on hold so she could ask the vet on duty, a woman but I don't remember her name. While on hold, I got in my car and drove there (7 blocks) and when the receptionist came back to my call I was parking my car right in front of their door. I was told I was too late and my 13 year old Great Dane would just have to wait until Monday. It was only 3 minutes after their closing time and I pleaded for the medication as I stood looking in the front door with the vet and receptionist looking back at me! Finally they opened the door, I thanked them and I apologized for my inconveniencing them. The vet, about half my age, told me I had to "learn better time management skills!" I told her of my hour wait a month before hoping she might soften her tone but she assured me that the wait was most likely caused by some other dog owner. I told her not to worry, I'd never be back again and I haven't. On Monday I was hoping that I would get a call from someone trying to keep my business but it didn't happen. I want to see every small business succeed but only if they want to.

When I left Savannah, I was truly crushed to leave this wonderful office full of compassionate vets and kind techs and receptionists. For the five years I lived in Georgia, Central Animal Hospital took such wonderful care of my boys. The doctors were always so sweet with my dogs and so genuinely interested in their care. They were thorough and knowledgeable in treatment plans, and always explained to me what they had in mind. The techs always took such loving care of my boys, whether they were coaxing my dogs onto the scale to be weighed or taking a very nervous little guy in the back for an IV. We never once had a bad experience. The entire staff is just wonderful, and the office is the cleanest and most visually pleasing vet's office I've ever been to. 10/10, would recommend.

I have a yorkie, his name is Bruiser, he was having problems with his left leg, knee, etc. His quality of life was getting pretty bad. I took him to see Dr. Daniel Iyer, he is FABULOUS! He reconstructed Bruiser's left knee cap, I trust him completely with my baby bruiser. The staff had been amazing and very helpful. I highly recommend central animal hospital. Thank you Dr Daniel!

I cant say enough good things about these guys. Ive been dealing with Dr. Hammons for years and shes always very helpful, super knowledgable and very compassionate about caring for my animals. On my last visit, Dr. Hammons was off and I was helped by Dr. Iyer and Dr. Hill. They helped me deal with a difficult situation with a sick cat and were extremely kind, professional and communicative in every step of the process. Anna, the tech was also really helpful and friendly to deal with. Every person weve dealt with there really does a great job. This is a great group of people who very obviously care about what they do and it shows in the experience we have when we go there.

I took Casper into his first vet appointment in Savannah today. I was as nervous as he was, or maybe even more. I loved the nurse, and I absolutely enjoyed the doctor, Daniel Iyer. They were gentle and very quick with their examinations. I've never felt more comfortable with vets around him before, and I definitely feel at ease bringing Casper back to see them. The only problem I had was with the front office staff. I knew my mother had taken Casper in for a few shots before he moved here, but the receipt from the previous vet didn't show updated records. So, instead of trying to contact the previous vet, or at least talking me through another solution, I was kind of disregarded like I didn't know what I was talking about. I felt cornered into deciding to get him vaccinated for things I was sure he had been through already. Sure enough, when I got home and called the previous physician myself, I found out he had all but two shots: the two I went in for. I know as an owner, a lot of that was on me. I should have brought his rabies tag and rescheduled my appointment. I just would've liked a little more tenderness from the staff. I'm new at full-time pet ownership and it made the environment stressful for me and pup, so I went ahead and followed through with their suggestions. Next time, I'm going to follow my gut and refuse services I know Casper doesn't need. If the front staff had the same caring attitude as the physicians, I would be head over heels with this place. Bright side: Casper won't be getting rabies any time soon!

The doctors and staff have always been kind and professional. However, on the day my Lucy needed them most they went above and beyond. Michael met us outside and carried her in; they had blankets ready,were caring and thorough. They made themselves available for me to call at anytime and allowed me to stop by to check on her during their lunch. Unfortunately, I had to let her go that day but I know we were giving her the best care possible and their support allowed me to make the best decisions for her. Dr Hill was so loving with her and his heart for his work was obvious. His words provided comfort during one of the hardest moments of my life. I received an unexpected card signed by everyone in the office and a paw print in the weeks after. I'm forever grateful for people that provide the ever important service of caring for our pets and understand the place they hold in our heart.

Central Animal Hospital is a wonderful place for your loved pets! They saved my 6 year old guinea pig's life a few weeks ago! I am so thankful for their help and care. Not many vets will work on such small animals. They were sure to get her into the office asap to see her. Penny had to have "surgery" to remove a super large abscess on her face. I was very nervous to have such a small animal worked on, but everything went great and they saved her life! I appreciate that they called several times to check up on Penny as well after her visit. That meant a lot! Great place!

I have been coming here over 10 years, we have a VERY large 4 legged family. 4 Big dogs and over 1 dozen cats, which have all been fixed and vaccinated (we work for food) They take such good care of all of them, from the best behaved to the grumpy ones. I could not imagine going anywhere else now that I have found them.
The front desk staff and vet techs are always friendly and compassionate, and will go out of their way to help. We had a rescue that needed special food and she helped arrange a trial to help with the cost!
During a very sad time, They shared our loss.
Dr Hill, you are the dog whisperer, and Dr Hammond, my cats just love you.
The fees are reasonable, the staff is great, I highly recommend and I AM a lifelong customer

The front desk was not overly friendly but the vet and support staff were amazingly friendly. And the front desk was friendly towards another lady so maybe just me, ha ha. The free mail trim and eat cleaning is a true godsend and prayer request as I do fair with the nail bit and horrible with the ears. There should be an easy book on dog ownership. Anyhow, it helps that Chewie seems to love it here... even the blood work didn't bother him so it's a go!
