Dr. Metts was extremely kind and went out of her way. We had a sick puppy while on vacation in Savannah. On a holiday weekend, Dr. Metts met us every afternoon at her clinic to take care of our dog. Her pricing was reasonable and she took the time to explain everything that was going on. I can’t recommend a better vet.

This place is fine. Quality of care is good and staff are friendly but they really push expensive and unnecessary scans and stuff and kind of shame you for not wanting to spend a million dollars at a regular check-up with an animal who is in fine health. I appreciate their commitment to the welfare of animals and wish I was a millionaire and could afford to spend thousands of dollars on a healthy animal but this is the real world so I can't.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place to people who are wealthy or very resistant to guilt trips.

The grounds and location are beautiful, and our pup gets a nice walk around nearby Forsyth Park after every visit. Highly recommend!

I recently took my kitten here for a second opinion, as I did not like the service I was receiving at a different vet here in town. She was in critical condition and the bill was very high to get her treated and recovered in full, which my parents and I just could not realistically pay, something that all of us run into at times. I made the decision to put her down and was ready to say my last goodbyes. The vet assistant came in with my kitten and let me know that Dr. Metts was going to keep her in for the night with fluids, IV and antibiotics and I was rushed with a feeling that I can't even describe that these people who don't even know my kitten and I are going to take time out of their work to care for my kitten in critical condition. We tried all that we could, but ultimately my kitten was too sick to recover and she passed away. If you want a good experience, come here. They are very thorough with every they do, and Dr. Metts will give you a plan with everything you need to nurse your pet back hopefully back to health. I don't know how to thank them enough for what they did for me and my kitten.

My husband and I moved to the downtown area a few months ago and Dr. Metts has made the new vet transition effortless. They adore my pups and put up with my almost constant fear of one of them contracting ring worm...luckily it still remains just a fear. Also, before the hurricane I found a week(s) old baby squirrel in the park. The staff took her in with open arms, nursed her back to health and then she went on her merry way when she was ready to join her other squirrel friends. I mean, could you ask for me more? No, you couldn't.

We were on vacation and while walking our dog Charlie in Forsyth park noticed he had an issue. We stopped in at the Forsyth Park Animal Hospital and fortunately they were able to see Charlie straight away. He needed some minor surgery which they did straight away.
Dr Metts and her staff are great. They obviously care for your pet and explain all symptoms and necessary procedures thoroughly.
I would highly recommend this clinic. It's too bad not all animal hospitals are of the same standard.

This vet was immensely unprofessional. Not only was Dr. Metts 45 mins late for the appointment, but she verbally berated my dog, accused him of aggression and was aggressive herself. She handled my dog with complete cynicism and did not respect him at all. She was the epitome of acting unprofessionally. I am shocked at the lack of concern that she has for quality care. I will never recommend her business to anyone.

Mr Haber's mean spirited and stupid review promoted me to write this. Dr Metts saved my dog Angel when she was about 2 years old. She is now almost 7 and doing well. The situation seemed hopeless and dire. Angel ate socks and got deathly ill. Angel had necrotizing pancreatitis which is deadly. Dr Metts and Dr Hazlett operated and then sent us onto Charleston to specialists before we had Dr Woods in Savannah. The vets in Charleston had to cut off half of Angel 's pancreas. It was Dr Metts who made the call to send us to specialists. Angel would have died otherwise. To this day I am indebted to Dr Metts and other vets who worked together to save my dog. But it was mainly Dr Metts who should get the credit for brilliant medicine. Thank you Dr Metts.

From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcome and comfortable! Our furry kids got rock star treatment from start to finish. Dr Metts is so friendly and knowledgeable! She really took time to listen to our concerns and educate us on the proper recommendations from the most current veterinary standards. We didn't feel rushed by the staff at all. Everyone took time to get to know the needs of our pets and base the treatment plan on that and fully explain any costs of services. The location is so convenient, too! We took our dogs for a walk in Forsyth park right out of the clinic as their reward for their patience at the vet! This clinic is a gem in the heart of Savannah and we will happily be taking our pets back to Dr. Metts for ALL their medical needs!

Afraid we had a terrible experience here. Went for a simple rabies update for our kitty and after waiting 20 minutes, the doctor - who appears charming at first - turned into an intolerant lecturer and virtual drug dealer pushing additional vaccinations. Having had cats die from some of these - with sarcomas - we were hesitant, and then accused of "attitude" and told we could "go somewhere else". Needless to say, we will. The saddest part, is the stress going to the vet is for a cat, and that was in the end a total stress for nothing, and we have to do it again elsewhere. Bad news, and we will never ever think of returning there. Advise against this place.

The staff did not give my dog her booster for a flu vaccination (she was there to get 2 flu vaccination booster shots) and did not seem concerned that they had potentially endangered her health by leaving her open to sickness. Instead, they just offered to restart the booster with one free shot to make up for the initial one she received but that I'd still have to pay for the second. No apologies for the dangers of the negligence, just one that they'd overlooked it and that it was inconvenient for me to have to restart.

This place is fine. Quality of care is good and staff are friendly but they really push expensive and unnecessary scans and stuff and kind of shame you for not wanting to spend a million dollars at a regular check-up with an animal who is in fine health. I appreciate their commitment to the welfare of animals and wish I was a millionaire and could afford to spend thousands of dollars on a healthy animal but this is the real world so I can't.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place to people who are wealthy or very resistant to guilt trips.

The grounds and location are beautiful, and our pup gets a nice walk around nearby Forsyth Park after every visit. Highly recommend!

I recently took my kitten here for a second opinion, as I did not like the service I was receiving at a different vet here in town. She was in critical condition and the bill was very high to get her treated and recovered in full, which my parents and I just could not realistically pay, something that all of us run into at times. I made the decision to put her down and was ready to say my last goodbyes. The vet assistant came in with my kitten and let me know that Dr. Metts was going to keep her in for the night with fluids, IV and antibiotics and I was rushed with a feeling that I can't even describe that these people who don't even know my kitten and I are going to take time out of their work to care for my kitten in critical condition. We tried all that we could, but ultimately my kitten was too sick to recover and she passed away. If you want a good experience, come here. They are very thorough with every they do, and Dr. Metts will give you a plan with everything you need to nurse your pet back hopefully back to health. I don't know how to thank them enough for what they did for me and my kitten.

My husband and I moved to the downtown area a few months ago and Dr. Metts has made the new vet transition effortless. They adore my pups and put up with my almost constant fear of one of them contracting ring worm...luckily it still remains just a fear. Also, before the hurricane I found a week(s) old baby squirrel in the park. The staff took her in with open arms, nursed her back to health and then she went on her merry way when she was ready to join her other squirrel friends. I mean, could you ask for me more? No, you couldn't.

We were on vacation and while walking our dog Charlie in Forsyth park noticed he had an issue. We stopped in at the Forsyth Park Animal Hospital and fortunately they were able to see Charlie straight away. He needed some minor surgery which they did straight away.
Dr Metts and her staff are great. They obviously care for your pet and explain all symptoms and necessary procedures thoroughly.
I would highly recommend this clinic. It's too bad not all animal hospitals are of the same standard.

She handled my dog with complete cynicism and did not respect him at all. She was the epitome of acting unprofessionally. I am shocked at the lack of concern that she has for quality care. I will never recommend her business to anyone.

Mr Haber's mean spirited and stupid review promoted me to write this. Dr Metts saved my dog Angel when she was about 2 years old. She is now almost 7 and doing well. The situation seemed hopeless and dire. Angel ate socks and got deathly ill. Angel had necrotizing pancreatitis which is deadly. Dr Metts and Dr Hazlett operated and then sent us onto Charleston to specialists before we had Dr Woods in Savannah. The vets in Charleston had to cut off half of Angel 's pancreas. It was Dr Metts who made the call to send us to specialists. Angel would have died otherwise. To this day I am indebted to Dr Metts and other vets who worked together to save my dog. But it was mainly Dr Metts who should get the credit for brilliant medicine. Thank you Dr Metts.

From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcome and comfortable! Our furry kids got rock star treatment from start to finish. Dr Metts is so friendly and knowledgeable! She really took time to listen to our concerns and educate us on the proper recommendations from the most current veterinary standards. We didn't feel rushed by the staff at all. Everyone took time to get to know the needs of our pets and base the treatment plan on that and fully explain any costs of services. The location is so convenient, too! We took our dogs for a walk in Forsyth park right out of the clinic as their reward for their patience at the vet! This clinic is a gem in the heart of Savannah and we will happily be taking our pets back to Dr. Metts for ALL their medical needs!

Afraid we had a terrible experience here. Went for a simple rabies update for our kitty and after waiting 20 minutes, the doctor - who appears charming at first - turned into an intolerant lecturer and virtual drug dealer pushing additional vaccinations. Having had cats die from some of these - with sarcomas - we were hesitant, and then accused of "attitude" and told we could "go somewhere else". Needless to say, we will. The saddest part, is the stress going to the vet is for a cat, and that was in the end a total stress for nothing, and we have to do it again elsewhere. Bad news, and we will never ever think of returning there. Advise against this place.

The staff did not give my dog her booster for a flu vaccination (she was there to get 2 flu vaccination booster shots) and did not seem concerned that they had potentially endangered her health by leaving her open to sickness. Instead, they just offered to restart the booster with one free shot to make up for the initial one she received but that I'd still have to pay for the second. No apologies for the dangers of the negligence, just one that they'd overlooked it and that it was inconvenient for me to have to restart.
