Amazing vets, great bedside manner. The office staff is typically good too but it seems to turn over frequently. I try to not get attached. I love that there are two separate entrances, one for cats, one for dogs. Pricing is a bit high as well, but they truely care for your pet like their own. Read Less

We recently adopted Koda a Siberian Husky. Brought him into for a wellness check and to meet his new vet. It went great. Koda was very relaxed with the whole visit. So when our Seal Point Siamese was having problems (She's almost 14 now) I immediately went to the clinic. Had a different vet and the experience was just as great. Several years ago my coonhound chewed up a brand new roach motel. Unfortunately I discovered this about 10 minutes after they closed but decided to call the clinic anyway. We moved to Savannah in 2015 and had to find a new vet. This clinic, in my opinion, is one of the best. Our male cat, Sneakers, was sick prior to coming here, but Dr. Donaldson communicated with our previous vet (how awesome is that) and kept our big boy happy and comfortable until it was his time. He was 16 yrs old.Our female, Sophie, (sister to Sneaks) developed issues, but again several of the doctors treated her with tenacity and tender perseverance until it was time for her to be with Sneaks a month ago. She was 17 1/2 yrs old. The office staff, techs, and anyone I may not have mentioned are super as well. They try to get you in asap for sudden issues and they treat everyones 'baby' with love. I just want to take a moment to express my thankfulness and sincere appreciation for the caring, professional staff at IVC. All three of our elderly fur-family have been patients of Dr. Mahaney's. Our 16 year old Sheltie, Sophie, who has special needs, caught pneumonia in January and looked to be finished. Dr. Mahaney prescribed an antibiotic regimen, and what appeared to be a lost cause became a second chance to live for our little girl. Sophie has made an amazingly full recovery, and we are looking forward to celebrating her 17th birthday in April! In December of last year our cat Camille, of almost 20 years, had to be euthanized. About a week later we received a sympathy card with a handwritten message of heartfelt condolences signed by all the doctors and each member of the staff. How awesome is that? Such caring souls! I can't thank you all enough for the work you do, and especially for your continued commitment and sensitivity to treating senior pets with the special care they require, and the dignity they deserve. Even as a child my family and I have always gone to Islands Veterinary Clinic. Since then they have grown so much. For instance, there was a time where there was only one door to enter where both cats and dogs shared the waiting room. Today there are two entrances. One side for cats and the other side for dogs. Back then we would either see Dr.Cooper or Dr.Lester. Both great veterinarians. Now today as an adult I still choose to take my dog, Hailey, to Islands Veterinary Clinic. Today I take Hailey to see Dr.Mahaney. Hailey is currently 9 years old and in 5 months she will be turning 10 years old. Dr.Mahaney has been treating Hailey since she was 8 weeks old when I rescued her from the humane society. I can not express enough how much of a great veterinarian he is. Also all of the staff, from the front desk to the vet techs/vet assistants, are very great as well. I would be remiss if I did not mention all of the other great veterinarians/doctors who are also at Islands Vet. My other family members and friends have nothing to say but great things about thim as well. Everyone there is so very kind and knowledgeable. Even though Hailey is a dog she is so much more than that to me and I wouldn't trust her health care needs to just anyone. this was a best experience for us! Our doggie, Little Man, had to be put down recently and the vet (Dr. Mudd) was wonderful to us and so tender to our baby doggie. I really liked Dr. Lester. He was great with my skittish cat. His assistant was also personable and professional. However, the front staff leave A LOT to be desired.
