Our Boxer was seen by Dr. Mulvey mid March 2019. We took him there because he was coughing which was followed by hacking. Mulvey gave us Prednisone to treat bronchitis, which is what Mulvey diagnosed him with. 8 days later the coughing and hacking is 200% worse, so we bring him back to Mulvey. During this visit he does a Chet x-ray and diagnoses our boy with cardiomyopathy. He referred is to a heart specialist in Charleston, who we arrived at, that same evening. They stated the misdiagnosis and prednisone certainly "did not help" our boy's cardiomyopathy; we put him down that same evening. I'm only stating the FACTS. I advise you to go straight to a specialist or get a 2nd opinion when dealing with your dogs health because not every veterinarian knows everything about the the canine species.

I moved into town with my rescue dogs, both with unique needs, and he jumped in on my frequent-flyer undaunted by his autoimmune disorder.
Dr. Mulvey listened to my input on Boba's history, looked over all of the records sent ahead and in hand and seemed appreciative when I stated that I'd worked at a small animal veterinary practice for four years.
We chose Dr. Mulvey's practice based on reviews & in particular a review from a fellow Mastiff mom. Clearly Sully was a great judge of character!

I brought my pup in because his paw had suddenly swollen up like a water balloon. Dr. Mulvey gave him a shot and the swollen paw along with every cut, scratch, ect on my dog was healed within hours. Dr. Mulvey gave my dog Wolverines healing powers! Thanks again for the exceptional service as usual. Now if I can just get him to treat humans...

left my critically ill dog there to be watched for the day after emergency surgery at a hospital in Charleston. When I picked her up she was very sick and in much worse shape than when I left her. When I called a day later early in the morning because she was getting sicker. He could/would not see her until late that afternoon. I explained how sick she was. They said I could just bring her in and leave her. No way after the first day she was there! My sweet baby died. I see that Dr. Mulvey is a wonderful vet to many people and I am not sure why my experience was so different. While he certainly did not cause my sweet baby's death, he certainly contributed to it. I did not find any compassion or caring there.

I cannot recommend Savannah Veterinary Medical Center enough! Dr. Mulvey and his staff are wonderful- they make me and my kitten feel welcome and comfortable every visit! They do a thorough job, and they'll get you in and out in a timely manner. I recently had to take my cat to get her annual shots. Dr. Mulvey and the assistant were super patient when my cat was scared and refusing to get out of her crate. You can tell they really take pride in what they do and they love the animals they work with. The girls at the front desk are always so friendly, too! I will definitely keep coming back and recommending them to fellow pet families!

We have had a wonderful experience so far. Dr. Mulvey is caring and thorough. The pricing is very reasonable. We had to leave one of our fur babies for several nights when he was really sick this week. I was so thankful to have him with staff that I trust. Our baby is back to health now and we couldn't be more pleased.

Dr Mulvey and staff are the best in every way! I was very concerned about my senior canine having her very bad teeth cleaned at her age. Should not have. Dr Mulvey assured me they would not do the procedure if her blood work showed any sings of issues that would make it unsafe! She needed 5 teeth removed and her teeth are pearly white, bad breath is gone and more importantly decreasing life-threatening infections, issues including heart, liver,and kidney disease. Dr Mulvey is very caring, dedicated to his clients, and treats your pets as if they are his own. Just can't say enough good things about him and the sweet techs that work here. This was a lucky find as I live right down the street and have several cats. They all got tapeworms just as I was moving into Savannah and I needed a vet, and quickly. Doc got us right in with an early AM appointment and got me several doses of tapeworm meds even though I only brought in one cat. He saved me a great deal of hassle not having to bring in 3 cats!The thing I appreciated most about interacting with this vet clinic is that they did NOT nickel and dime me or provide any unannounced, unapproved treatment for my pet. This has become VERY common for vet clinics and I absolutely hate that they assume pet owners are made of chump change! Not the case at all here at Savannah Veterinary! I will recommend this place to every pet owner I meet in Savannah.

It is hard to find a vet who is truly passionate about the work they do. Dr. Mulvey goes above and beyond to help your pet feel better. It is great to have a vet who truly cares about my dog's health and happiness. My neighbor recommended this vet when I first moved to Savannah 3 years ago and my senior dog feels really comfortable with him. My dog got extremely sick and he stayed with her through the weekend, continually gave me updates, and treated her thoroughly until she was in the clear. His love for animals and his vast knowledge and experience is evident. My dogs are my children and I know they are in good hands when I take them to see their Doc. We never have to wait too long and the fees are always reasonable. Highly recommend this vet over a place like petsmart which seems to care more about profit margin than for your pet's health.

The vet techs are great, the care was provided at a reasonable cost, but the way the vet handled my dog was completely unacceptable. He dismissed what I said in regards to handling my dog and did the opposite, then yelled at me when he reacted badly and continued to traumatize him further. My previous visits had been much smoother when the techs were mostly in charge and gave my dog treats like I told them. For whatever reason, the vet refuses to do that, and has never shown any compassion to my dog. The establishment and techs are wonderful otherwise, but this experience was so awful that I won't be going back.

I don't know if the doctor is any good or not, we never had the chance to see him. My wife scheduled and appointment for both of our dogs to receive their annual vaccines. They said they could see us at 4:30 on Wednesday, July 30th. We show up at 4:10 and try to check in but they had no record of our appointment, told to have a seat. We cool our heels for almost 30 minutes while she waits on everyone else in the waiting room, even those that came in well after we did. Finally, we are told that they are sorry, but they just can't see us today. No other patients in the waiting area, but they can't keep the appointment that THEY forgot to write down. Oh, but they want to know, do you want us to set you down for another time? Ummmm, no! we had to get off work early just to make this appointment. Nobody said, "sorry, we messed up" or "I apologize for the confusion". Wasted trip, wasted leave time, and extremely tempted to forget my manners and tell them exactly where they can put their "do you want us to put you down for another time". He may be the best Vet in the State, but his staff is at the least uncaring and at the most incompetent.

Awesome place. This was the first vet I have been to that didn't want to write a mile long prescription for my pets. They checked out all three of my animals at once, gave us a few hints on how to handle different issues in the house, and sent us on our way for under 200dollars. Two out of three cats got meds for being sick and all three got flea meds for that price. Awesome!

I've had so many vets and their indifference has always been an issue for me but that is not the case at SVMC. I honestly can't say enough good things about the folks here. We took in a stray who...to put it nicely..has A LOT of issues. Mental and physical. But Dr. Mulvey has been working with us to help get our little guy acclimated to a full belly, a loving family and on the road to overall healing. Every time I talk with Dr. Mulvey I can tell he genuinely cares about our furry family members and wants only the best for everyone.As for the staff - wow. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and there's always a smile. Love, love, love LOVE this place. It's nice to have finally found a vet this awesome.

Alfie and August both get VERY excited and happy when we tell them they are going to the vet! The girls there really spoil my pooches with love and biscuits. Although they still hate getting poked with needles, they still leave wagging their tails. Dr. Mulvey took care of Alfie when he had a strange gastrointestinal issue. He gave us several options, and even came in early on a Saturday to do an extra XRay. The prices are the best I've seen anywhere we've lived (Toronto, Memphis, Atlanta), and the level of care and quality was MUCH higher than any vet experience we've had.I recommend Dr. Mulvey to everyone of my friends who has pets.

My youngest English Bulldog was attacked by two Pit Bulls at Daffin Dog Park. Dr. Brian Mulvey DVM (owner) did an amazing job caring for my boy and making the time to do so on minutes notice. The best experience I have had with a Vet in years considering the situation. His assistants Brittany and Sarah were also very helpful. He has been open I believe 8 months now. I strongly recommend Savannah Veterinary Medical Center. I just recently relocated back to Savannah after living here a few years here previously. And although my previous Vet (would prefer not to name them) were good I really feel Dr. Mulvey and his staff didnt just do a service...they did it with a level ofcompassion that I haven't always found in previous Vets. Above and beyond...I would go on and on right now if I was typing this review on my laptop instead of my smartphone. Both my English Bulldogs will be in their hands from here on...as well as a Boston Terrier soon joining us...

I am new to the Savannah area so I wasn't sure where to take my dogs. I decided to try out SVMC when it opened because it was a lot closer than going across town. I have never been happier with any other vet than I am with Dr. Mulvey. He is very thorough in his exams and takes the time to talk to you about everything. There is no question about his genuine care for each and every animal that walks in the door. I've learned more in one visit with Dr. Mulvey than I have my entire time being a pet owner. I should also mention is prices are very economical as well. I would definitely urge you to give SVMC a chance. You will never want to see another vet ever again. I can definitely see that other people feel the same since I had to call a week in advance to get my other dog in to see him. But, if you have to schedule that far in advance, that means you're calling the right vet!!

Dr. Brian Mulvey is an outstanding vet. My aging dog has required 2 operations to repair the cruciate ligament in each of his hind legs. Dr. Brian did both surgeries. My dog runs around now like a puppy! He is now pain-free and very happy. Dr. Brian was incredibly professional and really took great care with my dog. He was wonderful about following-up with each operation and checking in on my little guy. He is really a top-notch vet!

Our Boxer was seen by Dr. Mulvey mid March 2019. We took him there because he was coughing which was followed by hacking. Mulvey gave us Prednisone to treat bronchitis, which is what Mulvey diagnosed him with. 8 days later the coughing and hacking is 200% worse, so we bring him back to Mulvey. During this visit he does a Chet x-ray and diagnoses our boy with cardiomyopathy. He referred is to a heart specialist in Charleston, who we arrived at, that same evening. They stated the misdiagnosis and prednisone certainly "did not help" our boy's cardiomyopathy; we put him down that same evening. I'm only stating the FACTS. I advise you to go straight to a specialist or get a 2nd opinion when dealing with your dogs health because not every veterinarian knows everything about the the canine species.

I moved into town with my rescue dogs, both with unique needs, and he jumped in on my frequent-flyer undaunted by his autoimmune disorder.
Dr. Mulvey listened to my input on Boba's history, looked over all of the records sent ahead and in hand and seemed appreciative when I stated that I'd worked at a small animal veterinary practice for four years.
We chose Dr. Mulvey's practice based on reviews & in particular a review from a fellow Mastiff mom. Clearly Sully was a great judge of character!

I brought my pup in because his paw had suddenly swollen up like a water balloon. Dr. Mulvey gave him a shot and the swollen paw along with every cut, scratch, ect on my dog was healed within hours. Dr. Mulvey gave my dog Wolverines healing powers! Thanks again for the exceptional service as usual. Now if I can just get him to treat humans...

When I called a day later early in the morning because she was getting sicker. He could/would not see her until late that afternoon. I explained how sick she was. They said I could just bring her in and leave her. No way after the first day she was there! My sweet baby died. I see that Dr. Mulvey is a wonderful vet to many people and I am not sure why my experience was so different. While he certainly did not cause my sweet baby's death, he certainly contributed to it. I did not find any compassion or caring there.

I cannot recommend Savannah Veterinary Medical Center enough! Dr. Mulvey and his staff are wonderful- they make me and my kitten feel welcome and comfortable every visit! They do a thorough job, and they'll get you in and out in a timely manner. I recently had to take my cat to get her annual shots. Dr. Mulvey and the assistant were super patient when my cat was scared and refusing to get out of her crate. You can tell they really take pride in what they do and they love the animals they work with. The girls at the front desk are always so friendly, too! I will definitely keep coming back and recommending them to fellow pet families!

We have had a wonderful experience so far. Dr. Mulvey is caring and thorough. The pricing is very reasonable. We had to leave one of our fur babies for several nights when he was really sick this week. I was so thankful to have him with staff that I trust. Our baby is back to health now and we couldn't be more pleased.

Dr Mulvey and staff are the best in every way! I was very concerned about my senior canine having her very bad teeth cleaned at her age. Should not have. Dr Mulvey assured me they would not do the procedure if her blood work showed any sings of issues that would make it unsafe! She needed 5 teeth removed and her teeth are pearly white, bad breath is gone and more importantly decreasing life-threatening infections, issues including heart, liver,and kidney disease. Dr Mulvey is very caring, dedicated to his clients, and treats your pets as if they are his own. Just can't say enough good things about him and the sweet techs that work here. This was a lucky find as I live right down the street and have several cats. They all got tapeworms just as I was moving into Savannah and I needed a vet, and quickly. Doc got us right in with an early AM appointment and got me several doses of tapeworm meds even though I only brought in one cat. He saved me a great deal of hassle not having to bring in 3 cats!The thing I appreciated most about interacting with this vet clinic is that they did NOT nickel and dime me or provide any unannounced, unapproved treatment for my pet. This has become VERY common for vet clinics and I absolutely hate that they assume pet owners are made of chump change! Not the case at all here at Savannah Veterinary! I will recommend this place to every pet owner I meet in Savannah.

Dr.Mulvey saw him as soon we got there with no appt, done his surgery right away, the staff called and gave me updates on my big baby as soon as he was done, I own 2 pits Dr.Mulvey sees them both, he does not judge my baby's cause of their breed, he is a great Dr. I wish everyone would use him. ,

It is hard to find a vet who is truly passionate about the work they do. Dr. Mulvey goes above and beyond to help your pet feel better. It is great to have a vet who truly cares about my dog's health and happiness. My neighbor recommended this vet when I first moved to Savannah 3 years ago and my senior dog feels really comfortable with him. My dog got extremely sick and he stayed with her through the weekend, continually gave me updates, and treated her thoroughly until she was in the clear. His love for animals and his vast knowledge and experience is evident. My dogs are my children and I know they are in good hands when I take them to see their Doc. We never have to wait too long and the fees are always reasonable. Highly recommend this vet over a place like petsmart which seems to care more about profit margin than for your pet's health.

We love Dr. Mulvey and the entire staff! We relocated to Savannah and were very nervous about making the transition to a new vet after 20+ years with our former vet hospital. We have had a wonderful experience so far. Dr. Mulvey is caring and thorough. The pricing is very reasonable. We had to leave one of our fur babies for several nights when he was really sick this week. I was so thankful to have him with staff that I trust. Our baby is back to health now and we couldn't be more pleased.

The vet techs are great, the care was provided at a reasonable cost, but the way the vet handled my dog was completely unacceptable. He dismissed what I said in regards to handling my dog and did the opposite, then yelled at me when he reacted badly and continued to traumatize him further. My previous visits had been much smoother when the techs were mostly in charge and gave my dog treats like I told them. For whatever reason, the vet refuses to do that, and has never shown any compassion to my dog. The establishment and techs are wonderful otherwise, but this experience was so awful that I won't be going back.

Was prepared for a whopping bill as I was from Los Angeles where it was always expensive. No so here - didn't break the bank. Didn't have to wait 90 minutes either! I don't know if the doctor is any good or not, we never had the chance to see him. My wife scheduled and appointment for both of our dogs to receive their annual vaccines. They said they could see us at 4:30 on Wednesday, July 30th. We show up at 4:10 and try to check in but they had no record of our appointment, told to have a seat. We cool our heels for almost 30 minutes while she waits on everyone else in the waiting room, even those that came in well after we did. Finally, we are told that they are sorry, but they just can't see us today. No other patients in the waiting area, but they can't keep the appointment that THEY forgot to write down. Oh, but they want to know, do you want us to set you down for another time? Ummmm, no! we had to get off work early just to make this appointment. Nobody said, "sorry, we messed up" or "I apologize for the confusion". Wasted trip, wasted leave time, and extremely tempted to forget my manners and tell them exactly where they can put their "do you want us to put you down for another time". He may be the best Vet in the State, but his staff is at the least uncaring and at the most incompetent.

Awesome place. This was the first vet I have been to that didn't want to write a mile long prescription for my pets. They checked out all three of my animals at once, gave us a few hints on how to handle different issues in the house, and sent us on our way for under 200dollars. Two out of three cats got meds for being sick and all three got flea meds for that price. Awesome!

What an amazing vet. Not only is the staff absolutely wonderful but Dr. Mulvey really seems to care about animals. I've had so many vets and their indifference has always been an issue for me but that is not the case at SVMC. I honestly can't say enough good things about the folks here. We took in a stray who...to put it nicely..has A LOT of issues. Mental and physical. But Dr. Mulvey has been working with us to help get our little guy acclimated to a full belly, a loving family and on the road to overall healing. Every time I talk with Dr. Mulvey I can tell he genuinely cares about our furry family members and wants only the best for everyone.As for the staff - wow. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and there's always a smile. Love, love, love LOVE this place. It's nice to have finally found a vet this awesome.

Alfie and August both get VERY excited and happy when we tell them they are going to the vet! The girls there really spoil my pooches with love and biscuits. Although they still hate getting poked with needles, they still leave wagging their tails. Dr. Mulvey took care of Alfie when he had a strange gastrointestinal issue. He gave us several options, and even came in early on a Saturday to do an extra XRay. The prices are the best I've seen anywhere we've lived (Toronto, Memphis, Atlanta), and the level of care and quality was MUCH higher than any vet experience we've had.I recommend Dr. Mulvey to everyone of my friends who has pets.

My youngest English Bulldog was attacked by two Pit Bulls at Daffin Dog Park. Dr. Brian Mulvey DVM (owner) did an amazing job caring for my boy and making the time to do so on minutes notice. The best experience I have had with a Vet in years considering the situation. His assistants Brittany and Sarah were also very helpful. He has been open I believe 8 months now. I strongly recommend Savannah Veterinary Medical Center. I just recently relocated back to Savannah after living here a few years here previously. And although my previous Vet (would prefer not to name them) were good I really feel Dr. Mulvey and his staff didnt just do a service...they did it with a level ofcompassion that I haven't always found in previous Vets. Above and beyond...I would go on and on right now if I was typing this review on my laptop instead of my smartphone. Both my English Bulldogs will be in their hands from here on...as well as a Boston Terrier soon joining us...

I am new to the Savannah area so I wasn't sure where to take my dogs. I decided to try out SVMC when it opened because it was a lot closer than going across town. I have never been happier with any other vet than I am with Dr. Mulvey. He is very thorough in his exams and takes the time to talk to you about everything. There is no question about his genuine care for each and every animal that walks in the door. I've learned more in one visit with Dr. Mulvey than I have my entire time being a pet owner. I should also mention is prices are very economical as well. I would definitely urge you to give SVMC a chance. You will never want to see another vet ever again. I can definitely see that other people feel the same since I had to call a week in advance to get my other dog in to see him. But, if you have to schedule that far in advance, that means you're calling the right vet!!

Dr. Brian Mulvey is an outstanding vet. My aging dog has required 2 operations to repair the cruciate ligament in each of his hind legs. Dr. Brian did both surgeries. My dog runs around now like a puppy! He is now pain-free and very happy. Dr. Brian was incredibly professional and really took great care with my dog. He was wonderful about following-up with each operation and checking in on my little guy. He is really a top-notch vet!
