Dr. Kane is an extraordinary vet. She is is extremely caring, patient and incredibly smart. She saved my cat's life when he contracted an unusual illness that quite probably no other vet would have caught. The other vets there are super good too. I have the highest confidence in Southside and will not take my furrbabies anywhere else. The receptionist staff is awesome too.

Been going here for years. They have several vets, but I never specify a particular one as they have all been terrific thru the years. The front desk staff is caring and helpful. We've been here with dogs from puppies thru adult dogs. They've helped us keep our dogs healthy and sadly on occasion have helped us put a dog down when necessary. They are compassionate and understanding.

My partner and I have loved this place, since we first moved here and took our beloved cocker spaniel Sam there 2 years ago. The doctors and staff are very professional and we highly recommend this great place, instead of a going to a one size fits all place like Pet Smart. The level of care and compassion that this place shows not only to your animal but to the customer as well is unmatched and we've tried more than our fair share of animal care centers here in Savannah. After having Sam since 2005, we unexpectedly had to have him put down and Southside Hospital was as caring and compassionate, as they've always been. We didn't tell them at the time due to our grief but we hope they see this and know we appreciate them more than they will ever know..... Should we decide to get another pet, know that we'll be signing right back up with this wonderful care center and hospital!

I recently discovered Southside after moving to Savannah from Philly. I took pictures for a dog rescue there and have been to a number of vets over the years. I think Southside is awesome. Scott is a special type of vet in that he takes his time with patients and their owners. Has a ton of experience, as did his dad, a vet also. Prices are more than fair.

Southside Hospital for Animals has always been so kind. When I brought my black Cocker Spaniel, CHANCE, in...I knew I'd never take him home again. As I held him in the waiting room, he looked at me as if to say, "it's okay momma....I'm ready". Back in the exam room, I'd already make the decision, but the vet confirmed it was right once he looked over Chance. They didn't rush me, they didn't make me feel silly, they took care of everything for me...and even though it was one of the most difficult things I've ever done and they do it all the time, I felt like they were all there for me and only me! Such a nice group of folks!!

Dr Oconnor and Dr Kane saved my puppies life i brought him in and he was immediately taken to the back and within 15 minutes, he was charcoaled, had an iv inserted and an enema given. no false hope was given and the next 72 hours were crucial. i had to bring him to the ER the following morning and they wanted to euthanize him i returned to Southside and they continued to treat him that was 11 days ago he is not completely out of the woods yet. thank you doctors for not giving up on Cashew. I could not say enough for the staff and Dr. Leslie at Southeast Hospital. Our Wonderful little cat Maggie was diagnosed with nasal cancer. Their compassion and willingness to fit us in several times without an appointment was not only a blessing but, greatly appreciated. Finally, when it was obvious that our precious baby girl was not going to make it, their tenderness and love made a horrible nightmare bearable. Their dedication to their patients goes a step above and beyond.

I have been here countless times with various pets of mine. No matter which vet I get or which people I deal with I have always been treated well. The people who have handled my pets have always been gentle and worked well with them. When I wasn't able to handle bills I've been given plans or extensions, help with meds, help over the phone, etc. Speaking of the phone, I've never had trouble getting a hold of people and I've rarely had to wait in the office either.

I completely recommend this veterinarian office. I took my kitten with a spay certificate through save a life and they took excellent care of her. She healed up in no time and everything went smoothly. The grand total for her care was 53 dollars. On a separate occasion I took my 18 year old cat whom had an eye infection and wasn't eating and constantly throwing up. She is frail and has had some health issues on and off, but within minutes of arriving I was in the back and the Dr. had told me that she had a heart condition. She prescribed medication for both her eye and her unknown heart condition and it is solely because of the care she received that day that she is still with me. I can't thank them enough for patching my babies up and actually caring about their health. You really can't find a better vet in the savannah area. Trust me, I have tried them all before here: save your time! Go here! Not to mention, they are quite reasonably priced! I was expecting an outrageous amount to pay at the end of the heart/eye visit but it was less than 100 dollars. I call them for everything related to my pets health.

I took my dog Dutchess there.She was not able to hold control her bowel movements. My neighbor recommended it and she said alot of her friends go and love it. I absolutely loved the vet she was so good with my dog, she's a Rottweiler and a huge baby but unfortunately because she is about 120 lbs people are scared of her. It turned out she had a stomach virus and they gave her an antibiotic and canned food. It was also pretty inexpensive i paid around $100.00 but that was also getting her heart worm pill. My friend has a 5 month old dog and he washaving the same symptoms and she took him to the vet and it cost her almost $300.00.

My partner and I have loved this place, since we first moved here and took our beloved cocker spaniel Sam there 2 years ago. The doctors and staff are very professional and we highly recommend this great place, instead of a going to a one size fits all place like Pet Smart. The level of care and compassion that this place shows not only to your animal but to the customer as well is unmatched and we've tried more than our fair share of animal care centers here in Savannah. After having Sam since 2005, we unexpectedly had to have him put down and Southside Hospital was as caring and compassionate, as they've always been. We didn't tell them at the time due to our grief but we hope they see this and know we appreciate them more than they will ever know..... Should we decide to get another pet, know that we'll be signing right back up with this wonderful care center and hospital!

I recently discovered Southside after moving to Savannah from Philly. I took pictures for a dog rescue there and have been to a number of vets over the years. I think Southside is awesome. Scott is a special type of vet in that he takes his time with patients and their owners. Has a ton of experience, as did his dad, a vet also. Prices are more than fair.

Southside Hospital for Animals has always been so kind. When I brought my black Cocker Spaniel, CHANCE, in...I knew I'd never take him home again. As I held him in the waiting room, he looked at me as if to say, "it's okay momma....I'm ready". Back in the exam room, I'd already make the decision, but the vet confirmed it was right once he looked over Chance. They didn't rush me, they didn't make me feel silly, they took care of everything for me...and even though it was one of the most difficult things I've ever done and they do it all the time, I felt like they were all there for me and only me! Such a nice group of folks!!

Dr Oconnor and Dr Kane saved my puppies life i brought him in and he was immediately taken to the back and within 15 minutes, he was charcoaled, had an iv inserted and an enema given. no false hope was given and the next 72 hours were crucial. i had to bring him to the ER the following morning and they wanted to euthanize him i returned to Southside and they continued to treat him that was 11 days ago he is not completely out of the woods yet. thank you doctors for not giving up on Cashew. We are eternally grateful. Carol Silvestro.

I could not say enough for the staff and Dr. Leslie at Southeast Hospital. Our Wonderful little cat Maggie was diagnosed with nasal cancer. Their compassion and willingness to fit us in several times without an appointment was not only a blessing but, greatly appreciated. Finally, when it was obvious that our precious baby girl was not going to make it, their tenderness and love made a horrible nightmare bearable. Their dedication to their patients goes a step above and beyond.

I have been here countless times with various pets of mine. No matter which vet I get or which people I deal with I have always been treated well. The people who have handled my pets have always been gentle and worked well with them. When I wasn't able to handle bills I've been given plans or extensions, help with meds, help over the phone, etc. Speaking of the phone, I've never had trouble getting a hold of people and I've rarely had to wait in the office either.

I completely recommend this veterinarian office. I took my kitten with a spay certificate through save a life and they took excellent care of her. She healed up in no time and everything went smoothly. The grand total for her care was 53 dollars. On a separate occasion I took my 18 year old cat whom had an eye infection and wasn't eating and constantly throwing up. She is frail and has had some health issues on and off, but within minutes of arriving I was in the back and the Dr. had told me that she had a heart condition. She prescribed medication for both her eye and her unknown heart condition and it is solely because of the care she received that day that she is still with me. I can't thank them enough for patching my babies up and actually caring about their health. You really can't find a better vet in the savannah area. Trust me, I have tried them all before here: save your time! Go here! Not to mention, they are quite reasonably priced! I was expecting an outrageous amount to pay at the end of the heart/eye visit but it was less than 100 dollars. I call them for everything related to my pets health.

I took my dog Dutchess there.She was not able to hold control her bowel movements. My neighbor recommended it and she said alot of her friends go and love it. I absolutely loved the vet she was so good with my dog, she's a Rottweiler and a huge baby but unfortunately because she is about 120 lbs people are scared of her. It turned out she had a stomach virus and they gave her an antibiotic and canned food. It was also pretty inexpensive i paid around $100.00 but that was also getting her heart worm pill. My friend has a 5 month old dog and he washaving the same symptoms and she took him to the vet and it cost her almost $300.00.
