No. Just no. Taking your pet here or any other Banfield should be considered animal abuse, and I will never be taking another living thing to this place again. We found an abandoned stray in a gas station trash can. By found, I mean searched a weekend for, because my fiance came across her doing some construction work and learned that she was declawed. Declawed cats do not last in the wild. She was skeletal and probably a week from starving to death. Never having a cat before, we used this facility because it was the only one we thought of off the top of our heads, and we didn't do our homework on this place. The first time we went there, we were concerned about rabies and other things, because she had nipped at both of us. All they were concerned about was selling one of those health plans. Rabies infection vs. insurance plan? Really? We asked for the workup to be done. If there was something wrong with her, we wanted to know. They came back and told us that she was perfectly fine except for being malnourished. So we took the dear home and tried to fatten her up. We would make appointments to see the vet. Usually, when I make an appointment, I expect to see the vet. We came in and learned that the idiot that made our appointment overbooked the vet and now we only had the option to drop off our scared cat. We have never been impressed with the people that work here.We took her home from that trash can four months ago, and this week, we had to rush her to the emergency vet because she collapsed. We had noticed something off about her, and had scheduled a vet appointment the coming weekend, but we decided to get her to the all-night emergency vet because we were terrified. The emergency vet said that she was very sick, that she had a really low red blood cell count and other crazy spikes in her blood test. We were there for an hour and a half and they told us this information. She said her condition was caused by something inside her body that was either destroying blood cells or was cancerous. In hindsight, she probably had pancreatic cancer. She also said that our cat wasn't 3 years old, like Banfield had told us, but between 8-10 years old. This place can't tell how old a cat is within half a decade? I mean, I understand it might get fuzzy in some places, but your guess shouldn't be off by 5 years when a cat lives to be maximum 18 years. Why didn't this place detect something off when we asked them to do the works? Cancer doesn't just show up and ravage a system like that in four months, so I know it was there before we brought her home. Why didn't they find it? Why didn't they see something was off in her blood tests? Probably because they were too busy trying to sell us a stupid insurance plan. So we had to put our beloved little rescue to sleep. She was warm and safe and surrounded by her two people who were hugging and petting her, and she went to sleep. I hate Banfield for what they could have done for this poor creature who had a bad hand dealt to her. I hate them for what they could have done and didn't. When animals come into your life, they really do leave their little paw prints all over your heart. You'd think anyone who was in an industry that was supposed to take care of animals would actually care about them more than the stupid insurance plan.As for that, when I called to cancel her weekend appointment, the receptionist gave me a number that didn't work the first time, but when my fiance finally contacted them, we had 9 more months to pay on the plan. The guy cut it down to 4 or 5, so I appreciate that gesture, considering it was their crap research that had her in such a bad place. I know they didn't give her cancer, but we could have been doing more things for her during those four months if only we had known. From someone who is absolutely heartbroken because her family lost a sweet, little angel in the form of a black cat, please do not take your beloved pets here. Please go find an actual vet. It could save their lives.Banfield, you should be ashamed of yourselves.11 August 2015 Edit: Two days after I canceled my late cat's appointment with Banfield, my fiancé received an email about her Optimum Wellness Plan. Nothing about continuing to pay it after death, but AN ADVERTISEMENT regarding her ONGOING WELLBEING. Yes, thank you for sending us a very painful reminder that our cat was dead and that us bringing her to you was probably the reason she died so early after we got her because if your neglectful stupidity. You are classless, horrible people, and I can't wait until you go out of business. Petsmart should reconsider having such a parasite attached to it in any way, shape, or form. Read Less
