My husband and I have utilized Chastain Animal Clinic's emergency care twice in our 6 1/2 years living in Atlanta. The first time our pug Lucy fell ill late at night, and passed out (very scary as this never happened before). They ran tests and kept her over night. In the end she was dehydrated and needed fluids. We learned that from the recent move to ATL she was stressed and did not drink enough water. The second time was over the weekend Lucy was bleeding when she urinated and had a UTI. Both times Chastain was both friendly and compassionate. The care provided was professional. It is good to know you have a reliable source to turn to weekends and late at night for emergencies!

I've been taking my dog here since she was 8 weeks. She's seven years old now. I stopped taking her due to the abuse she endured during one visit. She had to go in the back for lab draws. We were seeing the vet with the bangs that day. I heard the vet tell the technician, "I'll help you hold." I heard my dog yelp and a loud thud. When my dog came back in the room, the vet tech looked shaken and was inspecting my dogs face and ears. When I asked if she had been hit, she ran out the room. My dog's head was lowered and her tail was down which was not her usual behavior. She loves going to the vet. The vet came in and talked to me like nothing had happened like a true sociopath. I went back to this location for a travel certificate through another vet out of convenience, then I never came here again. I now make the vet staff at my new vets office treat my dog in front of me. I've learned my lesson.

I have been to this clinic a total of 5 times now and this will be my last time. Let me tell you why. So the first visit was for fleas, price was about $70, not too bad. The second visit was a surgery...
I have been to this clinic a total of 5 times now and this will be my last time. Let me tell you why. So the first visit was for fleas, price was about $70, not too bad. The second visit was a surgery which total about $1,000, not bad for the surgery. But this last time I decided to board my dog here. While I was on vacation they called me to tell me that I would need to pay for some eye ointment because he developed green pus in his eye. They never asked me if it was ok to give him any medicine. That sounds against the law to me. I never even gave any consent to that. They just proceeded to give him all the medicines which will probably cause something else to go wrong. So I was stuck with a boarding bill of $320 for only 6 days which also included some ear medicine that he need probably due to the other medicine they prescribed for the surgery and an examination fee even though he was being boarded there and already had an appointment to take his stitches out due to the surgery. This seems like a MONEY hungry clinic to me. I hope this was helpful.

I've been bringing my sweet girl to them since early 2015 & they are AWESOME! The staff are so nice, personable & incredibly helpful - always willing to answer all my questions! My girl just underwent a procedure & I could not have asked for a more compassionate team to help me through it (although the procedure is somewhat common, I was a little bit of a mess). Dr. Visco also followed-up with a phone call the next day to check on her & reassured me that I could call at any time with questions or concerns.
I am incredibly happy with Chastain Animal Clinic & would highly recommend them to anyone who is in search of care for your furry family members.

We first met Dr. Treva Marshall several years ago, when we were looking to adopt Kali, who was/is blind and diabetic. Dr. Marshall and the entire staff impressed us so much, that we made them our only vet, and moved our other dog's records there, too. The staff is warm & welcoming, knowledgeable & quick to respond to any questions we have. Both of our pups, now 11 & 12 yrs. old feel right at home with the staff at Chastain Animal Clinic. They both are happy to see everyone, never hesitate to go inside, and that gives us a great feeling of acceptance & trust from our dogs, which speaks volumes to us about the genuine love & care they receive at Chastain Animal Clinic.

I bring my 10 year young pit bull to Chastain Animal Clinic. The staff is always friendly and fast to check you in. They also are helpful to answer any questions i have. The vet is very informative with any questions I ask and my dog is happy because the staff is so kind to her. Overall great experience. The rates are reasonable as well. I think this place is a great option for veterinarian services, the people who work here clearly love animals. They offer everything, even tooth cleaning! I trust them to perform my pet cat’s annual exams and vaccinations, and at affordable prices too!

Chastain Animal Clinic is where I take all 8 of my pets. I know 8 pets may make me a bit crazy, but I'm really not. Both Doctors here are caring professional and reasonable with their treatments. Scheduling is easy, the staff are helpful, pleasant and professional. They squeezed me in on a very busy Saturday for a sick cat. Plus they have continued to treat a snotty, runny nose that my Tortie has had for her 4 yrs of life and it has worked. Thank you!!

Chastain Animal Clinic is such a wonderful place! From the very beginning of going here (roughly five years now) they have gone above and beyond my expectations. The staff is so polite and accommodating and the doctors are extremely knowledgeable. They greet both myself and my dog Marley by name when we walk in and we get A+ service every time we visit. The doctors were particularly helpful when Marley started suffering from seizures a couple years ago and have always had great recommendations on how to care for all his 'special needs.' I was a nervous wreck and wanted the very best care for him, and that's what we got. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

After finding blood in my cat's urine last night, I called Chastain Animal Clinic as soon as they opened today. Not only did they have an appointment at 10:30am, they were amazing! The cat was not the easiest patient to say the least, but they were nothing but incredibly sweet taking care of him and me. He needed to have X-rays and a urinalysis done, and needed to be sedated to get everything done, and he'd already eaten this morning, so they took him back and kept him most of the day. They were fantastic about keeping me updated on what was going on.
I hate that he was such a little jerk, but I can't sing their praises enough.

It was a wonderful place until 2 vets left. Now when I called on a Friday because my dog hurt her leg they told me that they didn't have an opening til next Wednesday and to keep her in a crate until then. Not appropriate. I asked for a prescription for my dog and they wrote it. I needed to send it to an online med source because it was difficult for for me to get to them and then they didn't honor what they wrote. I brought my other dog there and the doctor asked me about the other dog and then walked out of the door as I was answering her. I'm in the process of looking for a good vet now. It is a shame because they were wonderful.

The only reason I did not choose 5 stars is because I don't think a perfect place exists, but Chastain is pretty close. I brought my pet in for a check up because she was acting strange and I could tell she was not well. My husband and I have just moved to Atlanta and had not chosen a vet so I was a little stressed. When I called to schedule an appointment, they were able to get me in that same day and the transferring of my pet's medical records from her old clinic was quick and easy. Once there, the staff greeted my pet by name. The recognized her by looking at the photo in her file! Our wait was short and the visit brief. The vet assistant and the vet were both extremely nice and knowledgable. I got a follow up call few days later from the vet to check on my pet. I will definitely be taking her back to Chastain!

This is the best animal clinic I have ever been to. They make sure you understand what is going on & answer all your questions in a very nice friendly way. I just have never been to a vet that was as friendly as these guys are. The entire staff is super helpful & shockingly even my pet loves going here too. If you are looking for a caring staff & affordable prices then this is the clinic you need to visit. I plan on using them for all my pet needs in the near future.

We've only been to their clinic once, but it was a great experience. My husband and I accidentally missed a dosage of flea & tick on our dogs and they developed really nasty rashes presumably from flea bites, on their bellies. We've just moved down here from NJ and hadn't chosen a vet yet. A friend of ours recommended Chastain and I'm very happy with our choice to listen to him. We made an appointment last minute and they were willing to see us even though they sounded pretty booked. When we got there, we only had to wait a few minutes before we were called back. They diagnosed her quickly and efficiently and didn't try to sell us on a bunch of items or medications (like Banfield does for example). She gave us a quote and let us make the decision that was best for us and our pup. All-in-all, a wonderful experience and we will be going back for any future animal needs.

We were really sad to leave our old vet in Decatur. Chastain Animal Clinic was recommended to us by our neighbor. Coco has had a growth on her leg that has been bothering her. The Doctor did a great job with being so gentle with Coco but also gave us great recommendations. Dr. Germon was not pushy with making us do everything that was recommended which was one of the reasons why we loved our last vet so much. Coco will be having her surgery this Friday but we know she will be in great hands.

You can tell she takes great pride in her job and commits herself to providing excellent care for her patients, and their owners. :)I had some doubts about some of the recommendations she made for me, so we went home and did extensive research online and found that every thing she told us was absolutely correct. I've been taking my dog here since she was 8 weeks. She's seven years old now. I stopped taking her due to the abuse she endured during one visit. She had to go in the back for lab draws. We were seeing the vet with the bangs that day. I heard the vet tell the technician, "I'll help you hold." I heard my dog yelp and a loud thud. When my dog came back in the room, the vet tech looked shaken and was inspecting my dogs face and ears. When I asked if she had been hit, she ran out the room. My dog's head was lowered and her tail was down which was not her usual behavior. She loves going to the vet. The vet came in and talked to me like nothing had happened like a true sociopath. I went back to this location for a travel certificate through another vet out of convenience, then I never came here again. I now make the vet staff at my new vets office treat my dog in front of me. I've learned my lesson.

I have been to this clinic a total of 5 times now and this will be my last time. Let me tell you why. So the first visit was for fleas, price was about $70, not too bad. The second visit was a surgery which total about $1,000, not bad for the surgery. But this last time I decided to board my dog here. While I was on vacation they called me to tell me that I would need to pay for some eye ointment because he developed green pus in his eye. They never asked me if it was ok to give him any medicine. That sounds against the law to me. I never even gave any consent to that. They just proceeded to give him all the medicines which will probably cause something else to go wrong. So I was stuck with a boarding bill of $320 for only 6 days which also included some ear medicine that he need probably due to the other medicine they prescribed for the surgery and an examination fee even though he was being boarded there and already had an appointment to take his stitches out due to the surgery. This seems like a MONEY hungry clinic to me. I hope this was helpful.

I've been bringing my sweet girl to them since early 2015 & they are AWESOME! The staff are so nice, personable & incredibly helpful - always willing to answer all my questions! My girl just underwent a procedure & I could not have asked for a more compassionate team to help me through it (although the procedure is somewhat common, I was a little bit of a mess). Dr. Visco also followed-up with a phone call the next day to check on her & reassured me that I could call at any time with questions or concerns.
I am incredibly happy with Chastain Animal Clinic & would highly recommend them to anyone who is in search of care for your furry family members.

Dr. Marshall and the entire staff impressed us so much, that we made them our only vet, and moved our other dog's records there, too. The staff is warm & welcoming, knowledgeable & quick to respond to any questions we have. Both of our pups, now 11 & 12 yrs. old feel right at home with the staff at Chastain Animal Clinic. Scheduling is easy, the staff are helpful, pleasant and professional. They squeezed me in on a very busy Saturday for a sick cat. Plus they have continued to treat a snotty, runny nose that my Tortie has had for her 4 yrs of life and it has worked. Thank you!!

Chastain Animal Clinic is such a wonderful place! From the very beginning of going here (roughly five years now) they have gone above and beyond my expectations. The staff is so polite and accommodating and the doctors are extremely knowledgeable. They greet both myself and my dog Marley by name when we walk in and we get A+ service every time we visit. The doctors were particularly helpful when Marley started suffering from seizures a couple years ago and have always had great recommendations on how to care for all his 'special needs.' I was a nervous wreck and wanted the very best care for him, and that's what we got. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

After finding blood in my cat's urine last night, I called Chastain Animal Clinic as soon as they opened today. Not only did they have an appointment at 10:30am, they were amazing! The cat was not the easiest patient to say the least, but they were nothing but incredibly sweet taking care of him and me. He needed to have X-rays and a urinalysis done, and needed to be sedated to get everything done, and he'd already eaten this morning, so they took him back and kept him most of the day. They were fantastic about keeping me updated on what was going on.
I hate that he was such a little jerk, but I can't sing their praises enough.

Now when I called on a Friday because my dog hurt her leg they told me that they didn't have an opening til next Wednesday and to keep her in a crate until then. Not appropriate. I asked for a prescription for my dog and they wrote it. I needed to send it to an online med source because it was difficult for for me to get to them and then they didn't honor what they wrote. I brought my other dog there and the doctor asked me about the other dog and then walked out of the door as I was answering her. I'm in the process of looking for a good vet now. It is a shame because they were wonderful.

The only reason I did not choose 5 stars is because I don't think a perfect place exists, but Chastain is pretty close. I brought my pet in for a check up because she was acting strange and I could tell she was not well. My husband and I have just moved to Atlanta and had not chosen a vet so I was a little stressed. When I called to schedule an appointment, they were able to get me in that same day and the transferring of my pet's medical records from her old clinic was quick and easy. Once there, the staff greeted my pet by name. The recognized her by looking at the photo in her file! Our wait was short and the visit brief. The vet assistant and the vet were both extremely nice and knowledgable. I got a follow up call few days later from the vet to check on my pet. I will definitely be taking her back to Chastain!

This is the best animal clinic I have ever been to. They make sure you understand what is going on & answer all your questions in a very nice friendly way. I just have never been to a vet that was as friendly as these guys are. The entire staff is super helpful & shockingly even my pet loves going here too. If you are looking for a caring staff & affordable prices then this is the clinic you need to visit. I plan on using them for all my pet needs in the near future.

We've only been to their clinic once, but it was a great experience. My husband and I accidentally missed a dosage of flea & tick on our dogs and they developed really nasty rashes presumably from flea bites, on their bellies. We've just moved down here from NJ and hadn't chosen a vet yet. A friend of ours recommended Chastain and I'm very happy with our choice to listen to him. We made an appointment last minute and they were willing to see us even though they sounded pretty booked. When we got there, we only had to wait a few minutes before we were called back. They diagnosed her quickly and efficiently and didn't try to sell us on a bunch of items or medications (like Banfield does for example). She gave us a quote and let us make the decision that was best for us and our pup. All-in-all, a wonderful experience and we will be going back for any future animal needs.

We were really sad to leave our old vet in Decatur. Chastain Animal Clinic was recommended to us by our neighbor. Coco has had a growth on her leg that has been bothering her. The Doctor did a great job with being so gentle with Coco but also gave us great recommendations. Dr. Germon was not pushy with making us do everything that was recommended which was one of the reasons why we loved our last vet so much. Coco will be having her surgery this Friday but we know she will be in great hands.
