Dr. Davis is the best vet we have ever had! He always patiently answers every question and is very thorough. My boyfriend and I actually used to take our dogs to Cumberland Animal Clinic until Linus (our dachshund/pug mix) randomly broke out in horrible hives. We tried to call Cumberland Animal Clinic for an emergency walk-in, but they told us that they were busy. I have been going to a cat-only vet for years, but just felt like I was being taken advantage of over the years and paying way too much.I came to Town & Country Vet on a friend's recommendation and couldn't be happier.  The pricing here is much more reasonable than what I've been paying and I didn't feel like I was made to do tests just for the sake of doing tests. Took my cat there for the first time a few weeks ago, and was very pleased. The vet explained things thoroughly, everyone was friendly, and same medical tests cost about half as much as the local "cat only" vet I had been going to. Then a huge shocker today when I picked up my cat's ongoing prescription medicine... My 8 year old kitty has been going to see dr. Davis his entire life since he was 6 weeks old, and now my new puppy is also his patient. Both doctors and the staff are amazing. I have been taking my dog to him for many years and he has kept her alive at least 4 years beyond her life expectancy considering her various chronic aliments (she's now 15). Dr. Davis and his group are great. They make it super convenient to get annual check ups. I was able to drop off Rufus on a Saturday morning, run some errands, and they called when the lab results were ready and to let me know when to swing by to pick him up. I cannot say enough great things about this veterinary practice. First and foremost Dr. Davis is awesome!!! We had to bring our cats (Pickles and Gummi Bear) in because one was spraying and the other had issues passing his bowels.  Pickles needed surgery to remove bladder stones and Gummi Bear needed an enema.  The whole office treated our pets with great care and made my wife and I very comfortable with everything they were doing.  They encourage questions and know the right questions to ask to make sure your pets are getting the right treatments.  Special thanks to Dr. Davis, Dan, Lacy, Patti and Stephanie for all of your help getting our little fur kids healthy.  We truly appreciate all that was done for our little loved ones.  We are so happy to have found their new primary care veterinarian!!! I have been taking our dog to this vet for about a year, and the vet is very knowledgeable and good with the animals. However, I have a hard time getting anyone to call me back, and for the prices that are double what my last vet was (it will cost more than $50 to walk in the door and you will pay an large upcharge for medications) I feel like they should respond faster. Another issue was that I tried to order my medications through 1-800-pet meds and the website verify the prescription through the vet, the office called and said "oh, you don't have to order through them, we will match their price for you!" When my boyfriend picked up the medication, it was no where near the pet meds price. I went back and asked them and their answer was "all sales are final". I came upon T&C Vet South under very unfortunate circumstances, but I lucked out and found a great vet. My dog had gotten into a bad fight and was on the losing team. I called Care Credit and found the vet closest to me that accepted that fo of payment. I called the vet (which is by appt only) and was told to bring him right away. When I arrived with my bloody dog he was taken immediately to see the dr. Knowing surgery was the only option I had expected a much higher bill than I received! His aftercare was thorough, the staff is attentive and friendly, and Dr.Davis was great with explaining all of my options any time I have questions regarding my dogs care. Town and Country South Veterinary Clinic was recommended to me by a co worker and I am glad she made the recommendation. They have continued to provide outstanding service for my dog, Toby. I recently had a scare with him and they were fast in response and saw me immediately (within normal hours). Dr. Davis was honest and straight forward and was not pushy as far as his recommendations for treatment. He wanted to be proactive and prudent in his course of action but he was also not an alarmist. Dr. Davis even called me at midnight (per my request) to give me an update when he went to administer a second dose of IV fluids to my pup. I appreciate all of their staff. Professional and friendly. Town and Country South on Spring St. is GREAT! Ever since our chihuahua was a puppy, we took him to Town and Country West. They were good but we did not realize how much better a veterinarian could be until we went to Dr. Davis. We noticed one day that our dog had his eye completely shut, and he would not let us go near his face. I called Town and Country South as this was closer than the West location. They immediately got us in that day! It turned out our dog had a scratch on his eye, and needed medication to heal it. Brutus also needed his yearly check up that month, so instead of returning to his old vet, we went back to Dr. Davis. During his visit, we set up a teeth cleaning appointment for him. Brutus had to get several teeth pulled and he also had an infection. After the procedure, Dr.Davis called to let us know how everything went and gave us an update on his recovery. I picked him up later that day (you have to keep your pets there for the day after anesthesia) and the vet tech went over everything with me thoroughly. The next day, Dr. Davis called me to check on Brutus and see how he was doing. WOW! I was so impressed with a follow up phone call! Dr. Davis spends as much time as needed to answer questions you have, and is very precise while explaining things. I would highly recommend Dr. Davis to anyone looking for a wonderful, compassionate vet! I would also like to give special recognition to the entire staff! My husband and I recently moved to the Atlanta area. We did some research online for vets around us and decided to give Town and Country South a chance. Dr. Davis and his staff were very friendly and we were so happy with our visit. He gave our cat a very thorough exam and we did not feel rushed at all. Dr. Davis and his staff are an incredibly professional, competent, and compassionate team.  My husband and I have extensive experience with this clinic, as our dog was very sick for over a year and required weekly visits.  As often as we visited, we always had a very positive experience.  In my 25 years of dog ownership, I have met and worked with many veterinary clinics, and after such a positive experience with Dr. Davis and his staff, I will never go to another.  Dr. Davis spent as much time with us as we needed to answer questions and treat our dog, and we never felt rushed or hurried.  That extra time that he gave to make sure that our questions and concerns were adequately addressed was very valuable to us.  I can't recommend this veterinary practice highly enough. I can't begin to say enough great things about Town & Country Veterinary South or about Dr. Davis! We typically see Dr. Good at the other Town & Country Veterinary clinic, but after reoccurring issues with our Weimaraner, Rocky, we were referred to Dr. Davis for an ultrasound. Rocky had completely stopped eating, was vomiting daily, and became very lethargic. After multiple visits with Dr. Good, and 2 rounds of bloodwork he referred us to have an ultrasound done. Everyone at Town & Country Veterinary clinic South was so friendly! They were able to see Rocky the very next day for his ultrasound and were so caring and accommodating. After the ultrasound was finished, Dr. Davis delivered some of the worst news we could have imagined. Rocky was diagnosed with liver cancer....Dr. Davis was so kind and comforting. He took the time to fully explain our options and answered all the questions that we had. You could truly tell that he cared, and how  sorry he was to deliver such bad news. We scheduled a liver biopsy the next day to try to find out what type of cancer Rocky had, and to give us a better understanding of what our treatment options were. The prognosis wasn't good, as Rocky had Sarcoma of the liver that was fully involved, but Dr. Davis really took the time answering all of our questions and explaining everything to my husband and I. At one time, he spent over 30 minutes on the phone with me (while I was blubbering in his ear on the phone!) to fully explain his prognosis and our limited options for treatment. He even gave me his direct cell phone number, and also contacted another Oncologist at a different vet for a second opinion for treatment options. Unfortunately Rocky's health declined very rapidly, and ended up passing within about a week & 1/2 of being diagnosed.  My husband and I were completely devastated, as everything happened SO quickly. When we called back up there to share the bad news, the lady at the front desk genuinely seemed so sad for us, offered her condolences, and said how sweet of a dog she thought Rocky was. Within a week of Rocky passing, we received a sympathy card in the mail signed by the entire staff at Town and Country Veterinary South!  Everyone there took the time to offer us their condolences and said how special they thought Rocky was, and that they could tell how immensely he was loved by us. This meant SO much to my husband and I, and brought us both to tears! Our dogs are like our children, and you can tell the staff at Town & Country Veterinary South feels the same way! I loved this place! I called at 11am to make an appointment for my cat (who hasn't been to the vet in 4 years) and got an appointment the same day at 4pm. The staff was super friendly and Dr. Davis was the best. He explained everything to me in great detail and kept asking if I had any questions. He wanted to make sure I didn't leave without all my questions answered. And they didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary products or services. They obviously care more about the animals than about the profit, which is rare. I will definitely come back to this vet and highly recommend them to anyone. Let me first say that I had a fantastic veterinary practice that I've had to replace due to a large, multi-state move. With that said, my expectations are pretty high for a vet clinic. When choosing T&C, I looked at several online reviews before selecting this practice to care for my dog. My animal received adequate care here. However, I was disappointed with the customer service I received within this veterinary practice.To begin, I waited for 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time to be seen by the vet. This is on my first visit as a new patient, and I was the only patient in the building. No one came in or out the whole time I was there, the phone never rang, there didn't appear to be any crazy pet emergency people were attending to. It was just me and my pup. I arrived early as requested, brought all my dog's paperwork, and did exactly as I was told. No explanation was offered as to why there was a hold up. In all, I estimate I sat in the empty waiting room for about 45 minutes before I was seen by the doctor and the vet tech. No one apologized for the wait or even acknowledged it. On the positive side, the vet did note my dog had been vaccinated in previous years for a vaccine that was unnecessary given our lifestyle and region. On the negative side, the vet told me he as going to "give [my dog] a quick check." This consisted of a quick rub of my dog's fur, a feel of her ribs, and maybe a listen to her heartbeat. In all, about 30 seconds of "checking." For this I was charged $45. I didn't say anything as I was rung up, but will be taking my dog elsewhere for future care. Read Less
