I've owned rabbits for 25 years, have extensive medical knowledge about them, and have been spoiled by living near some of the most experienced rabbit vets in other states. Here in GA I have looked high and low for a vet to care for my precious rabbit. I've been to the Atlanta area?s well known ""exotics"" hospital and was VERY unimpressed. Neither vet was thorough at all in their exam of my rabbit -- they hardly did more than look into his ears and mouth, they didn't seem interested in my concerns, and tried to up sell me this crazy $35 ""special shampoo"". They didn't even seem all that terribly knowledgeable with rabbits -- they seemed to cater more to birds and reptiles. Dr. Rottersman, on the other hand, despite the fact that she is more of a dog and cat vet, is the vet I trust with my rabbit. She is still quite knowledgeable about rabbits, despite the fact she doesn't see tons of them. She is *super thorough* in her exams, she is very thoughtful in her diagnoses, and she takes a ton of time with you and your pet. Despite the fact that she has a packed schedule, you never feel rushed -- she really takes a *ton* of time to make sure your questions are addressed. She has been especially patient with me being that I'm one of those people that has just enough medical knowledge to ask a ton of questions. She also has been exceptionally understanding about my 2 hour round trip to travel to her and has been very accommodating to me in that regard. She is soft spoken and super smart, but does not have an ego. Dr. R and her staff have never once tried to up sell me goods or services. (I realize vets have a business to run, but I find that practice very offensive.) Giving your pet good veterinary care is never cheap, but I would say that her prices are quite competitive. My 12 year old bunny and I are very blessed to find such a caring and thorough vet. I highly recommend Dr. Rottersman. In regards to comments about wait time: Yes, this can happen because Dr. R spends as much time with an animal as the animal needs and thus can sometimes get behind a bit. Also, she is willing to squeeze you in if your pet has an emergency. I personally have never had to wait long at all, but I would be willing to because I know she will spend lots of time being sure my bunny gets the care he needs. Read Less
