Truly the best Veternarian I have visited. Dr Aponte and the ENTIRE staff takes their time to listen to your concerns and insure that they have cared for all of your needs. This team has to be one of the "best oiled machines around". It is absolutely amazing how well they all work together.

I brought my dog in because he wasn’t putting his leg down. After rushing me because “the doctor was on his way out” and scolding me because unfortunately I did not have $300 to get my dog x-rayed tha...
I brought my dog in because he wasn’t putting his leg down. After rushing me because “the doctor was on his way out” and scolding me because unfortunately I did not have $300 to get my dog x-rayed that same day they left a sour taste with me. They lacked compassion and seemed to only want to get paid. They “examined” by baby for less than a minute and FALSELY determined his hip was broken. Turned out to be a fracture of his knee. I found that out at an AMAZING vet somewhere else. Paid half of what they estimated. Oh yeah, and they charged me $56 for nothing. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE!!!

They are very caring and gentle. They have rescue cats they care for in the office. The hours are reasonable as they take appointments until about 4:30 or so. They stayed with my dog and I after his minor procedure. They genuinely love the animals they care for.

Dr Aponte is an amazing vet who has consistently gone above and beyond to treat my animals, work within my schedule, and find ways to save me time and money. I brought her my cat who was extremely malnourished and having seizures and she calmly and professionally got him back in good health.

I wanted to have my dog tested for Hypothyroidism, so I called here. The person that answers the phone has the tone of voice like she really doesn't want to be bothered. When I asked how much the tests would cost, she would not tell me. I asked her if she could find out, and she said she wouldn't know until after the exam. In other words, I would have to spend my money on the exam fee, then the test cost would be a surprise. She wouldn't even tell me what tests are run. No thank you, this place seems like a scam to get your exam fee first.

I took my dog in today and it was wonderful. She had a flea problem that I spent $300 on at home, then she developed a skin condition. I had tried everything. Funny thing, I had done all the rIght things but if I had gone to the vet it would've been less work for me and my grandma dog wouldn't have suffered so long with the itching. The doctor didn't make me feel bad about my attempts to be a vet. The treatment she prescribed makes me feel confident. Dr Aponte is great. She loves pets and their humans

I found this hidden gem of a veterinary office by using google maps to locate offices near my house. I am so glad I did! The staff was so welcoming and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Dr. Aponte was so sweet and really spent quality time with us making sure we understood everything and detailing options. We will will definitely come back and highly recommend!

I've been a client of Stone Mountain Veterinary Hospital for almost 10 years now. I share my life with six cats so a good veterinarian is actually more important to me than my own doctor. Dr. Nicole Aponte and every member of the staff at SMAH have proven over the years to be my greatest ally in the care of my pets. Dr. Aponte is thorough in her examinations and takes the time to explain everything to me. She knows each of my cats by name and remembers their history and frankly this is better than I manage on a daily basis. If I ever have questions or concerns she addresses them in terms I can understand.Over the years she and the whole staff have taught me to administer sub-Q fluids at home (saving tons of money for me and lots of stress for the feline who needed them). They have been a shoulder to cry on when it's time to let one go off to the Bridge. They are, quite simply, they people I trust completely with the pets I love.This place isn't fancy, and located down a drive off Memorial just eat of Hairston (just west of the entrance to the Wells Fargo) you might miss it. The much more fancy, state of the art hospital is located on Sugarloaf Parkway in Snellville and this is just a short drive if things like orthopaedic surgery is needed. My Phoebe had to have knee surgery when she was only 16 months and Dr. Brown did a great job out of Snellville. If you live within 15 miles and don't see this vet you are missing a great opportunity.

I brought my dog in because he wasn’t putting his leg down. After rushing me because “the doctor was on his way out” and scolding me because unfortunately I did not have $300 to get my dog x-rayed that same day they left a sour taste with me.
