I love taking my fur babies here because they do take great of them. On Saturdays it is a walk in clinic. They treat your pet as if it was there fur baby. Some of the services that are offered are pricey but that is going to be anywhere you go. When it comes to walk ins, you can wait for awhile but other than that I do recommend using them. The reason for the four stars is because of price. I would not take my fur babies to another vet because of the treatment that my fur babies and I receive from them. Read Less

I having been taking my pets to the Summerville Veterinary Clinic for more than Fifteen Years. Doc Bridgett Hopkins is a wonderful Vet and I would not even consider taking my Pet to anyone else. The staff there is kind and considerate and very helpful with whatever need you come in with. One thing that stands out in my mind most of all is when My first little Dog Ginger died two years ago. Doctor Hopkins did everything Humanly possible to save her, but it just wasn't meant to be. I was heartbroken, Doc Owens and some of her staff stayed at the clinic for an hour after the Clinic closed and allowed me stay and say my goodbye to my Ginger. The people at the Summerville Veterinary clinic love our pets and it shows through the little things that they do. I have another little Dog now her name is Dixie, guess where she goes to get everything that she needs in order to keep her healthy and happy, yep, The Summerville Vet Clinic. Very caring and compassionate staff. My dog had been bitten on her foot by another dog. The emergency clinic said it needed surgery. She told me that surgery would make it heal quicker. I was not given that option at the emergency clinic. She knew that money was an issue and was very understanding. If you are looking for a Dr. that really cares about your pet I recommend her. Dr. Hopkins is an old fashioned *FOR REAL* vet with a lot of experience. She is a top notch diagnostitian!!!! This is not to say she doesn't have state-of-the-art equipment -she does!!! Dr. Bridget Hopkins is great! She has been taking care of my dogs and cats since 1987. Still to this day, she remembers the names of several of my past pets and the problems they were treated for years ago. She always listens and she comforts us when we need it as pet owners. I am so grateful to Dr. Painter and all of the techs and staff for their compassion and care for my puppy, Duckie. Sadly, Duckie didn't make it through a bad illness but they were so sympathetic and did everything they could to try to heal him and decrease his suffering. They also understood financial constraints and made every effort to be upfront about options. I drive past other vets to come from out of town to this clinic because they have honest service without employing guilt tactics to push unnecessary services just to inflate the bill. Today we got our dog cut there, he is a teddy bear breed named Teddy. The women that cut his hair did an amazing job. I was happy with the way she did it and actually listened when she ask how we wanted him trimmed. We will never take him anywhere else but here from now on!!!! The staff is eager to help because they truely do care and they pay attention to the pet owners as well. Dudley needed help! His big bulldog pads had debris lodged in them and when we got up on Saturday morning and my playful boy didn't want to go exploring at our new campsite and didn't want to go for a potty break not to mention not eating; I knew it was time to call in the professionals. Luckily Saturdays is walk in clinic day and after a couple of hours waiting (because they were that busy taking care of their regular clients and I must say I loved that about them..doing business the way they should by taking care of the regulars first) Doc Bridget gave us a great explanation and told us what we could and couldn't do to help him with what will more than likely be a recurring issue. We are so lucky to have a Vet like Dr Hopkins. I don't think I've met a more compassionate person! Ive been going to her for about 8 years now and couldn't imagine my animals lives without her. Most reasonable prices and caring staff around. I have been using this clinic for 10 years and always have a great experience. They even met after hours once when my dog was having seizures and took very good care of her for several days. I drive about an hour to get here; it's worth it to know my pets are in great hands.
