We took our cat Hagrid in for being unable to pee. The tech told us that his weight contributed to his stones, and that there's a surgery they can do to reroute his urethra so he pees like a female. She made it sound like that would be the best option, but when we seemed to think so too she said oh but we wait until they've had the issue a few times. After a weekend in their office we get a text saying to come get him told come get him, he's doing great! I call for a final price. We put down a 300$ deposit and we're quoted 751.00 the day we took him in. The receptionist says an additional 733$ is owed. I say okay and my husband goes to pick up Hagrid (they can't even spell his name right, Kept calling him Haggard, even his medicine bottles say Haggard)) and my husband is charged over 1100$ additional. (Over 1400$ they charged)
My husband gets home and Hagrid is not able to pee still!! And won't eat the canned food they had us buy saying he's been eating it while there. (Weight control food) Wondered why it wasn't for urinary system... We keep giving him his meds and he pees a little but not much. We message them saying he can't pee and won't eat. Oh bring him back in to us, the immediate reply. My husband responds that he is on disability and they already took over a months income from us and he's not better! No reply! Hagrid passed away, they should have done the surgery first off knowing how overweight Hagrid was, and knowing that his weight contributed to this. Hagrid gained weight substantially after being neutered. Don't trust these people with your furbaby for anything! They only think about their pockets and how much they can get from you before finally doing the RIGHT thing for your baby...

The fact that a vet can take defenseless animals in and euthanize them is past the definition of what is considered "unjust." There are 2 full blooded GSD currently at this facility that were owner surrender to be euthanized; however a patron stepped in to pay for their boarding to buy these babies some time to live until someone could get to them. How sick can a human be. Why would you ever trust your BABIES with a so called "Licensed Veterinarian" whose willing to KILL for money/or because it's an inconvenience on their part to find (or even attempt to try) and find a loving home for them. This is WRONG!! Do your research before you check these guys out. SICK! Licensed to KILL!

I left feeling as though my pet didn't matter, only the amount of money I could spend. Never again. I will take my pets to where we feel cared for and appreciated.

Below average customer service. We have been driving 30 minutes each way as they were worth the drive. The last 2 visits this month have included an hour wait to checkout. The most recent included running my wife’s credit card without reviewing the charges with her. Significant charges. My wife called twice prior to picking up our dog to request a total of charges. She wasn’t aware of charges prior to the credit card being billed. They ran tests without prior consent and estimation of charges.

No words can express how much I love this place. Dr. Flynn took very good care of our boxer until it was time for us to let her go.They also sent a beautiful card and made a copy of her paw print that sits next Dr. Wester went above and beyond to care for our potbelly pig. He was admitted and I could call anytime of the day or night and they would be there to answer any question. Pricing is also GREAT!! I will never allow another vet to see any of my animals.

I was very happy to see doctor Westerra today for our visit. My Rottweiler has had a problem with arthritis for years but now she needs to be medicated. My Dachshund mix had an ear infection. The time it took to go from check into an exam room was less than five minutes. The doctor was extremely comical as he always is. I was very impressed by the examination and how easy it was to understand him. We have used Wester vet clinic for over 10 years. Their prices are reasonable and there is never a long wait. Both of my dogs were treated with extreme kindness. We are always very happy to see Pam Wester his wife running around the practice!

We had a horse emergency this evening. I was frantic and crying, the woman on the phone was great. She calmed me down then went over her symptoms. They were closing in 10 minutes, the office is in Thompson and I had someone going to get the medicine from Fort Gordon. This office made sure we got that medicine regardless of closing time. They were amazing. I can't Thank Y'all enough. P.s. After 7 long hours, lady is doing great!!!!!

Those of you who have "hairy children" of whom you are very attached will understand, and if you don't.....well, you just won't. But I have a beautiful, youg Greater Swiss Mountain Dog puppy, just under 9 months and 94 lbs of loving, sweet, wonderful personality. He came up "lame" a few months back and has had a couple of trips to see the vet because I have worried myself sick diagnosing him.....if you knew how absolutely beautiful and personable he is, you'd understand why I've just been sick about him being in so much pain. He whimpers & whines but he tries to be "normal." So, today, we spent some time at Wester Vet with Dr. Cindy and Liz and the whole crew.....trying to see what might be going on, and he's been diagnosed with panosteitis which is not uncommon in large breed dogs and is something he should grow out of - inflammation of the long bones in the legs. My heartfelt thanks.....for the time.....for the care.....for understanding that he is not just a dog.....to you, my wonderful vet (and staff) because the tears shed on my way home were tears of relief that I now understand how to help him until he outgrows this condition.

Wester Vet Clinic and staff has cared and loved my animals for many years. They have helped heal my fur babies, given the absolute best preventative care and treatment, and even recently comforted me during the passing of my fur baby, Odie. Wester staff is more than just a Vet office. They genuinely care and love your babies. I do not even live in Thomson and I make the 20 minute drive to their office just because I know and trust my fur babies are given the best care. Thank you Wester doctor's, nurses, and staff for the excellent care you have given and continue to give to animals and the comfort you gave me and my family during our recent loss. You guys go above and beyond. I have never questioned your passion and love for the animals as I have always seen it in action at your clinic. Thank you so much! We love you all!

It is very rare to find an animal hospital that will let you text them after hours. Pam provides her cell on the website and offers for clients to text her if there are after hour emergencies. While they are not a full emergency clinic, they make the effort when they can. It appears they can't always take emergencies, but I think it's awesome that they try whenever they can. This was a clear indication to me that they care about pets and their people. I also noticed that they offer pet boarding and sitting.

I took my Siberian Husky here after a consensus of dog park people agreed that this place was worth the drive from Evans. She'd been butchered at other places and my cat died at the hands of another vet so I was extremely skeptical. My dog needed her annual checkup and this wart she had on her face was causing me grief. The staff took her in, only took 10 minutes to do her check-in work and the vet did her assessment in little to no time. She assured me it wasn't cancer and stressed that lancing it would only please me and not help my dog at all. However, if I wanted to waste $150, she was happy to knock the dog out and cut into her. Instead, she prescribed her an anti-fungal ointment and sent her on her way and for a lot less than the other vets in the area.

Terrible place. Took my Bear there to the groomer and she charged me over 150 dollars just to shave him and he is not a large dog. He came home with gashes in his skin from the equipment she used to shave him and his hair was very uneven. Bear has chronic ear infections which he has been prescribed ear drops for, from a different vet, we use on him every day. Well I didn't clean his ears out before I took him to the groomer here because that is their job to do and I get a call from a very rude woman named Pam who kept accusing me of not taking care of Bear. Let me tell you one thing... I take care of my Bear! He was left for dead at the lake with just a bag of dog food sliced open. We bought him straight home and he has been cared for and spoiled every way possible and for some witch to accuse me of not caring for him, no way! It was a very terrible experience at this place needless to say. Bear couldn't get out of the door fast enough when I picked him up and neither could i.

The Vet Ken Dougan gave my cat a rabies vaccine resulting in horrific side affects, I researched the serial number and manufacturer of the vaccine given to my cat and not only did the vet administer him the vaccine in the wrong manner Dr. Wester himself justified his employees absolute negligence and basically called me an idiot when he apparently isn't even aware of the products used in his own office! not only that my PREGNANT friend was bitten by a possibly rabid feline and refused her public safety/ health information because she couldn't provide $15 for an "office visit".. these people are consumed by GREED and could careless about your pet, your safety, or public safety!

I left feeling as though my pet didn't matter, only the amount of money I could spend. Never again. I will take my pets to where we feel cared for and appreciated.

Below average customer service. We have been driving 30 minutes each way as they were worth the drive. The last 2 visits this month have included an hour wait to checkout. The most recent included running my wife’s credit card without reviewing the charges with her. Significant charges. My wife called twice prior to picking up our dog to request a total of charges. She wasn’t aware of charges prior to the credit card being billed. They ran tests without prior consent and estimation of charges.

No words can express how much I love this place. Dr. Flynn took very good care of our boxer until it was time for us to let her go.They also sent a beautiful card and made a copy of her paw print that sits next Dr. Wester went above and beyond to care for our potbelly pig. He was admitted and I could call anytime of the day or night and they would be there to answer any question. Pricing is also GREAT!! I will never allow another vet to see any of my animals.

I was very happy to see doctor Westerra today for our visit. My Rottweiler has had a problem with arthritis for years but now she needs to be medicated. My Dachshund mix had an ear infection. The time it took to go from check into an exam room was less than five minutes. The doctor was extremely comical as he always is. I was very impressed by the examination and how easy it was to understand him. We have used Wester vet clinic for over 10 years. Their prices are reasonable and there is never a long wait. Both of my dogs were treated with extreme kindness. We are always very happy to see Pam Wester his wife running around the practice!

We had a horse emergency this evening. I was frantic and crying, the woman on the phone was great. She calmed me down then went over her symptoms. They were closing in 10 minutes, the office is in Thompson and I had someone going to get the medicine from Fort Gordon. This office made sure we got that medicine regardless of closing time. They were amazing. I can't Thank Y'all enough. P.s. After 7 long hours, lady is doing great!!!!!

Those of you who have "hairy children" of whom you are very attached will understand, and if you don't.....well, you just won't. But I have a beautiful, youg Greater Swiss Mountain Dog puppy, just under 9 months and 94 lbs of loving, sweet, wonderful personality. He came up "lame" a few months back and has had a couple of trips to see the vet because I have worried myself sick diagnosing him.....if you knew how absolutely beautiful and personable he is, you'd understand why I've just been sick about him being in so much pain. He whimpers & whines but he tries to be "normal." So, today, we spent some time at Wester Vet with Dr. Cindy and Liz and the whole crew.....trying to see what might be going on, and he's been diagnosed with panosteitis which is not uncommon in large breed dogs and is something he should grow out of - inflammation of the long bones in the legs. My heartfelt thanks.....for the time.....for the care.....for understanding that he is not just a dog.....to you, my wonderful vet (and staff) because the tears shed on my way home were tears of relief that I now understand how to help him until he outgrows this condition.

We have been using Darrell Wester and his staff to treat our horses, goats and dogs since we moved to Thomson in 1997. I would recommend them to others without any hesitation.

I called and explained our situation, the lady ask for us to bring him so we did! Mrs. Pam is the most compassionate lady I have ever met! She not only was waiting on us , she did a very thorough review of our goat and did everything possible for him and us! Wester Vet Clinic and staff has cared and loved my animals for many years. They have helped heal my fur babies, given the absolute best preventative care and treatment, and even recently comforted me during the passing of my fur baby, Odie. Wester staff is more than just a Vet office. They genuinely care and love your babies. I do not even live in Thomson and I make the 20 minute drive to their office just because I know and trust my fur babies are given the best care. Thank you Wester doctor's, nurses, and staff for the excellent care you have given and continue to give to animals and the comfort you gave me and my family during our recent loss. You guys go above and beyond. I have never questioned your passion and love for the animals as I have always seen it in action at your clinic. Thank you so much! We love you all!

It is very rare to find an animal hospital that will let you text them after hours. Pam provides her cell on the website and offers for clients to text her if there are after hour emergencies. While they are not a full emergency clinic, they make the effort when they can. It appears they can't always take emergencies, but I think it's awesome that they try whenever they can. This was a clear indication to me that they care about pets and their people. I also noticed that they offer pet boarding and sitting.

Best vet in the area. After first moving to the area, my male lab was shot by a hunter. I took my dog here on a Saturday, after hours and was met not only by a vet, but also one of the owners. We and my dog were treated with the best of care in a scary situation. I would recommend this place to anyone who cares about their pets.

I took my Siberian Husky here after a consensus of dog park people agreed that this place was worth the drive from Evans. She'd been butchered at other places and my cat died at the hands of another vet so I was extremely skeptical. My dog needed her annual checkup and this wart she had on her face was causing me grief. The staff took her in, only took 10 minutes to do her check-in work and the vet did her assessment in little to no time. She assured me it wasn't cancer and stressed that lancing it would only please me and not help my dog at all. However, if I wanted to waste $150, she was happy to knock the dog out and cut into her. Instead, she prescribed her an anti-fungal ointment and sent her on her way and for a lot less than the other vets in the area.

Terrible place. Took my Bear there to the groomer and she charged me over 150 dollars just to shave him and he is not a large dog. He came home with gashes in his skin from the equipment she used to shave him and his hair was very uneven. Bear has chronic ear infections which he has been prescribed ear drops for, from a different vet, we use on him every day. Well I didn't clean his ears out before I took him to the groomer here because that is their job to do and I get a call from a very rude woman named Pam who kept accusing me of not taking care of Bear. Let me tell you one thing... I take care of my Bear! He was left for dead at the lake with just a bag of dog food sliced open. We bought him straight home and he has been cared for and spoiled every way possible and for some witch to accuse me of not caring for him, no way! It was a very terrible experience at this place needless to say. Bear couldn't get out of the door fast enough when I picked him up and neither could i.

The Vet Ken Dougan gave my cat a rabies vaccine resulting in horrific side affects, I researched the serial number and manufacturer of the vaccine given to my cat and not only did the vet administer him the vaccine in the wrong manner Dr. Wester himself justified his employees absolute negligence and basically called me an idiot when he apparently isn't even aware of the products used in his own office! not only that my PREGNANT friend was bitten by a possibly rabid feline and refused her public safety/ health information because she couldn't provide $15 for an "office visit".. these people are consumed by GREED and could careless about your pet, your safety, or public safety!
