We have been to three other vets in the immediate area since moving to Villa Rica in 2002. We switched to MLAH because it was so close to our home. Now, seven or eight years later, we wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Harper, Dr. McCullough and the entire staff consistently provide a level of care above and beyond what we would expect or have experienced with other Vets. They really do care about their patients and they care about their patient's owners. Whenever we are there we always have the feeling that we are the most important people and pets at that moment. Recently, our dog had a sudden onset severe illness just a few days before an important family event. We discussed cancelling the event with them and they wouldn't hear of it. They said, "Do not cancel your plans. We will work this out!!", and they did. For the care they render our pets, and for the care they render to us, we are forever indebted.

My cat Bubba lacerated his eye, I took him to another vet who did nothing, didn’t even give him something for pain. Two days later the cornea came out of the laceration so I took him to MLAH. they dre...
My cat Bubba lacerated his eye, I took him to another vet who did nothing, didn’t even give him something for pain. Two days later the cornea came out of the laceration so I took him to MLAH. they drew his blood, spun it to make a serum for eye drops. I put the drops in several times a day along with antibiotics and pain pills (I can’t imagine the pain he was in.) within a week he was almost completely healed, within two weeks he was back to his normal self. He was able to keep his eye, although not sure how much vision he has. Everyone was amazed at how well he did and I’m grateful to everyone at MLAH.

Solid 5 Stars from our family and our furry friends. This Animal Clinic has been steller in everything they have done for our pets. We have had animals with thyroid issues, skin issues, bladder issues, and they all been handled appropriately. Each of our three pets are now feeling much better. Our Sheltie is so energetic now she has lost 5 lbs.! What a difference. I wish we had found them a long time ago.

I absolutely love this office and I would never take my dogs anywhere else. I have two Siberian Huskies and they are pretty much my kids. I overreact a little when it comes to their well-being. Anytime I have ever had a questions such as the time my puppy ate a toxic lily, they are always so willing to help me out and fit me into the schedule. The staff is friendly and the vet will sit in the room with me for as long as it takes to answer my questions. That is extremely rare. I always recommend this veterinary office to anyone who is looking for a great care taker for your pet.

All I can say about this practice is make sure you get a second opinion from another Vet.

Dr. Harper's view on my pet's health was "well hes old anyway..." 11 isn't that old for a small breed dog. The vet I just took him to said he had been covered up in cancer for quite some time now...he wasn't sure how he was able to eat or drink at all...and had no idea how he was able to breathe, and putting him to sleep was the only humane option left for him. If this was the only dog that had a bad experience with this Vet I might be more forgiving, but the more I ask people around this area about her the more horror stories I'm hearing... this is a feeling of guilt I hope I never have to feel ever again.

They are great here. They don't nickel and dime you, they know what they are talking about, and they handle the animals well. I have large dogs and they were very appropriate and not afraid of them like other vets in town. They always take time with you, I've never had to wait more than a couple minutes for an appt and they do book out but they got me in when I had an urgent situation. They are professional, honest, polite, and both drs have great bedside manner. The receptionist is great too. And again, no nickel and diming!

Finally! An awesome vet in Villa Rica. I took one of our personal dogs in that has a fear of hands, which leads him to bite when he feels threatened or is fearful. He is NOT an easy patient to assess or treat and has always required a muzzle for vet visits. Our little PupCake had an eye injury which made assessing and treating him even more difficult. The staff was wonderful from the moment we walked into the door. They were very friendly, courteous and professional. When we went back to the exam room, they bent over backwards to make both me and PupCake feel comfortable. During his exam, Dr. McCullough took a lot of time with him, being very gentle and thorough while comforting him the entire time. As a nurse, I was pleased with her assessment and treatment plan. Again, she was very thorough and was covering all bases and possibilities. After the exam was over, she and her very capable staff took more time with PupCake to calm him down and put him at ease. He took treats with that little tail wagging and even put his front paws on the assistant as she sat in the floor with him. During our follow up visit with Dr. Harper, PupCake wasn't exactly at ease, but he didn't require a muzzle. This was a direct response from all the hard work the staff did on the first visit to make him feel less threatened, and the time they were taking with him again during that visit.In a nutshell....MLAH has great customer service, very skilled and knowledgeable vets, compassion and a deep love for animals. My dogs deserve the very best, and now they have it.

I absolutely love this office and I would never take my dogs anywhere else. I have two Siberian Huskies and they are pretty much my kids. I overreact a little when it comes to their well-being. Anytime I have ever had a questions such as the time my puppy ate a toxic lily, they are always so willing to help me out and fit me into the schedule. The staff is friendly and the vet will sit in the room with me for as long as it takes to answer my questions. That is extremely rare. I always recommend this veterinary office to anyone who is looking for a great care taker for your pet.

All I can say about this practice is make sure you get a second opinion from another Vet.
Dr. Harper's view on my pet's health was "well hes old anyway..." 11 isn't that old for a small breed dog. ...

Dr. Harper's view on my pet's health was "well hes old anyway..." 11 isn't that old for a small breed dog. The vet I just took him to said he had been covered up in cancer for quite some time now...he wasn't sure how he was able to eat or drink at all...and had no idea how he was able to breathe, and putting him to sleep was the only humane option left for him. If this was the only dog that had a bad experience with this Vet I might be more forgiving, but the more I ask people around this area about her the more horror stories I'm hearing... this is a feeling of guilt I hope I never have to feel ever again.

They are great here. They don't nickel and dime you, they know what they are talking about, and they handle the animals well. I have large dogs and they were very appropriate and not afraid of them like other vets in town. They always take time with you, I've never had to wait more than a couple minutes for an appt and they do book out but they got me in when I had an urgent situation. They are professional, honest, polite, and both drs have great bedside manner. The receptionist is great too. And again, no nickel and diming!

Finally! An awesome vet in Villa Rica. I took one of our personal dogs in that has a fear of hands, which leads him to bite when he feels threatened or is fearful. He is NOT an easy patient to assess or treat and has always required a muzzle for vet visits. Our little PupCake had an eye injury which made assessing and treating him even more difficult. The staff was wonderful from the moment we walked into the door. They were very friendly, courteous and professional. When we went back to the exam room, they bent over backwards to make both me and PupCake feel comfortable. During his exam, Dr. McCullough took a lot of time with him, being very gentle and thorough while comforting him the entire time. As a nurse, I was pleased with her assessment and treatment plan. Again, she was very thorough and was covering all bases and possibilities. After the exam was over, she and her very capable staff took more time with PupCake to calm him down and put him at ease. He took treats with that little tail wagging and even put his front paws on the assistant as she sat in the floor with him. During our follow up visit with Dr. Harper, PupCake wasn't exactly at ease, but he didn't require a muzzle. This was a direct response from all the hard work the staff did on the first visit to make him feel less threatened, and the time they were taking with him again during that visit.In a nutshell....MLAH has great customer service, very skilled and knowledgeable vets, compassion and a deep love for animals. My dogs deserve the very best, and now they have it.
