Villa Rica Animal Hospital

Very very long wait times last two appointments waited two hours past my apt time just to be seen by the vet!! Basic charge to see vet has gone up to 52.00 before any services just to walk in the door most expensive in town. They only have one full time vet right now all others are rotating from a service you never know who you will see. I would like to say that once you do get to see the vet and if you see the the full time Dr Dr White or Dr Molly your pet will receive good care. Read Less

I am very happy with how Villa Rica Animal Hospital cares for my pets. The scheduling is quick, the wait times are minimal. The doctors seem to really care about the animals and answer whatever questions you have. I would definitely recommend to friends. Read Less

We have been going to VR animal hospital for 7+ years and we love them. They are all amazing and take very good care of our fur kids. We even use them for boarding. Their prices on both vet care and boarding are very affordable. Read Less

I love dr white..shes so thorough in her examinations ..they all do a great job but she really does go over everything with the animal to make sure all is good..I take animals in for heartworm jabs etc ,,but and ASSUME all is well..this lady went above and beyond ..she really examines them for everything..great hospital with great staff Read Less

Very nice people and the staff takes time to calm down your pet. They have very nice veterinarians and they go out of the way to explain and answer questions. Never have to wait for long time. The best veterinarians office I've ever seen. Read Less

I love the staff at Villa Rica Animal Hospital. Dr. Molly and Dr. Porter have been absolutely fantastic with.my pets. The whole staff is friendly and best of all empathetic to the fact that your pets are family members. They are cost concious and considerate. I would highly recommend them. Read Less

When Dr Daniel got sick and quit practicing we were worried about how the doctors and service would be, but they have continued to provide outstanding service. Their vet techs are wonderful, especially Chris. The front office staff is always friendly and caring. Dr Molly had been fantastic; she is great with our dogs and takes the time to explain everything. One of our boxers had to have a medium mass removed, along with several smaller spot of concerns. When I picked our dog up from surgery the bill was less than quoted; she didn't charge us for the removal of the smaller spots. Couple month prior we had to take our dogs to the emergency vet in Lithia Springs - Villa Rica Animal Hospital did not charge us for the 2 follow up visits on both dogs. They said, the emergency vet bills are so expensive, they don't charge for follow up visits. We were super grateful. I've heard several people complain that this office charges too much, but they have been great to us and the little extra charge is worth the service they provide. Read Less

I have owned many pets over the years and used many a Veterinarian. I love VR Animal hospital. The 1st place my pet has ever received beautiful xrays. Every other place I have gone to did double exposure or horrible exposure. Dr. Toft and staff are the best. I take my pets in knowing they are in the best care available in the Veterinary world. Took my silky baby in for a routine dental cleaning. Vet ignored the blood work showing infection, went ahead with the procedure and my pup became septic and died within a week. I heard thoughtless laughter out in the hall as they euthanized my silky, who cried out in panic with her last breath because of the lack of caring on the part of the vet. To top it all off, I was made to pay for all the botched veterinary care(?), ignored tests, and fatal dental procedure. Read Less

Today was a sad day for me...after 18 years my Max took his last breath...I would like to thank Dr. Molly and Brittanie Vincent at Villa Rica Animal Hospital for all the time and care they gave to my sweet ole cat during his last days...they worked VERY hard on him and for that I will be forever thankful...in the end I had to put my selfishness aside and realize when it comes to life it's quality not quantity that matters...I would also like to thank Dr. Porter for her sympathy when I brought my Max in for his last breath. The front office staff was very kind as well...they gave me their condolences as I left. On a happier note I would like to say I love how each time I visit the office it is very clean and smells so good and fresh!! ***Dr. Daniel (the woman) is the most compassionate Vetinarian I have ever met. Along with her former staff Kristen and Keith. They sedated my black lab Bailey 5 times on and off to try to get her grand mail seizure to stop! They did this all day while I was at work and couldn't get to them until around 5:00pm. The last time they warned me they were running out of medicine and if she convulsed again as they took her off they would need to let her go... God showed up in that room with us as we were all in tears and Bailey didn't convulse...and hasn't in a year and a half! Dr. Daniel never gave up on Bailey and they did everything they could to save her and they did. They have loved our family ever since to help recover her & she is her self as smart as ever. That is one of my biggest answered prayers that will forever stay with me.Read Less

If you can't come up with thousands of dollars to save your companion the same day as your visit, well they don't care. Even if you can pay for it within the next two days. Time is of essence when your pet is dying. But they are willing to waive the fee for putting your pet down! Just not willing to help you save your best friend. Go to All Pets & Paws Animal Hospital. They saved our sweet Maggie's life when this place got impatient and gave up on her. Never again will I use this vet!!! Read Less

Wonderful! The staff is caring and friendly . Dr. Molly is simply amazing! I recently moved here from the Walton County/Athens area. I was very concerned about finding the right Doctors for my pets after using the same vet for over 20 years. This place welcomed me and my fur babies with open arms. They never make me feel rushed, always taking the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Knowing that I am fairly new to this area, they have even taken the opportunity to recommend restaurants and other places I might like to try. Most importantly, my fur babies love all of them. On Tuesday Aug 9th ,I had to have my baby of almost 16 years put to sleep. The staff and the dr here were just awesome. They gave us all the time we wanted with her before and after. They were very caring. Today I received a card in the mail from them and the staff and dr took the time to actually write in it their condolences... I can not give the praise this place deserves!!! They have always been my vet of choice for my fur baby's. They have always been wonderful. I am currently on vacation in Delaware and my daughter is taking care of my animals for me. On Friday we had a stray kitten (maybe 8 weeks old) show up at my house. She just hung around outside with our outside cat. She found the food and shelter and made herself at home. Sunday there was little accident and my daughter and son-in-law had to take the kitty (Angel) to the emergency vet. She had X-rays done and was found to have a fractured jaw and upper mouth. Got a pain shot and steroid shot and went home. Yesterday she was in so much pain she was lethargic and wouldn't take any water. My daughter took her to Villa Rica Animal Hospital and they took great care of her!!! And of my daughter who was very emotional after the past 2 days being so stressful. They gave her fluids, a pain shot, an antibiotic shot and lots of loving. Then today she started drinking and eating soft food!!! She went back in and received another pain med shot and some more loving! Everyone at VRAH is wonderful!!! They truly love the animals they care for!! Started here with Dr. Leathers and Dr. Daniell in 2004...several dogs, surgeries, and crossings of the Rainbow Bridge later, I'm still coming. I knew it was the perfect place for my fur family.Though the staffing has changed, the legacy of compassion, knowledge, and skill is still here.We especially appreciate Dr. Molly, she's takes excellent care of my three, my Mom's two, and any Foster I care for. "Villa Rica Animal Hospital", It's definitely the cleanest Vet, I've ever been into. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at Villa Rica Animal Hospital. Dr Molly, she have done surgeries on my two dogs( My Babies ). She and the staff, explain everything very well and took excellent care of my two babies and kept me inform very good. Also call me several times at home to check and see how they're doing after surgery. You cannot go wrong taking your four-legged family members there for veterinary care. I was surprised that the price was also very reasonable. Oh by-the-way !!!! I don't understand how this is vet's office has  good reviews. I have been to a lot of veterinarians and this was one of the worst. I went more than once in case it was a fluke. It was not. They are not helpful, they were scared to death of my dogs. My dogs are working canines and are very well trained and very friendly. They would not even touch them without having me muzzle them first. They're incredible uneasiness and demeanor around my dogs made them uneasy in response. Let me throw in my dogs never barked, growled,  hackled, or showed any signs of mistrust prior to any of these actions. Or after for that matter. My dogs have never ever had any kind of issue with any vet.  They were taking care of an ongoing injury. ( no vet needed a muzzle before or after when treating this injury) The Wrap did not even stay on  after he walked on it. ( it stayed on every other time it was wrapped by myself or another vet). It literally just fell off. Then they told me not to wrap it at all. That resulted in me coming home to blood everywhere and the worst injury then we had gone in with because it was still too fresh and it broke open again when he walked on it without the wrap. We switched vets and had no further issues. We also had no issues with the same injury at the prior vet. The injury happened while we were out of town so the first vet was in a different town.They do not seem knowledgeable about any of the questions that we asked. When I spoke to the vet she stumbled all over herself and could not give me straight answers. They are very unhelpful on the phone as well.  And again, I cannot get past how uncomfortable they were with my dogs. Maybe they are OK for your day today check up and vaccines, but I would never go there for a serious injury, surgery, or anything not run of the mill. Personally, I will not be going back at all. I need to be able to trust my vet and need my dogs to be able to do the same. Maybe if you have a cat or a Yorkie you could go there with no issue. However I would never recommend them for someone with working dogs or a canine professional. I have to say they were all very nice at least Read Less

This is where I take my dogs and they re wonderful with animals. Everyone has always been very friendly. I like the fact that when you come in here it's usually just you or one other pet there in waiting room. When you're back with your pet and either the Dr or Nurses they don't make you feel rushed and would probably answer a hundred questions.
