Having worked as a veterinary assistant in a busy office, I tend to be very critical of where I choose to take my pet. My cat had worms, and I went into their offices concerned as to the cost of getting her treated. The staff at Corker Animal Hospital were welcoming, caring, and knowledgeable. Fortunately my visit did not require a meeting with the doctor, but after speaking with his staff and meeting the office cats, one of whom was clearly brought back from the edge of death, I can see that the doctor is both extremely knowledgeable, and clearly possessing of great compassion for both his patients and his clients. Not only will I be bringing my cat here in the future, both my spouse and myself will also be recommending this practice to our friends and those we meet at our respective professions. In short, very impressed. Read Less

Dedicated. Knowledgeable. Understanding. Affordable. These are all words that describe my experience with Dr. Corker and staff. I recommend Corker Animal Hospital any time I get the chance. My Chihuahua was recently hit by a car (she made a run for it when my children opened the front door). I thought she was going to die. This was the office closest to home. I ran inside, falling apart and clutching my four legged friend. It was a visceral scene. Not only did they let me go back while they took care of her, but they also let me stay close to provide comfort for both my dog and myself. As long as the doors are open, I'll take my pets there. Such good people work there! If you do drop in, say hello to Nike (the black cat in the pictures). He is so friendly! My kids just love him. He works as a part time greeter at Dr. Corker's office. Asked to leave my dog while he ran test, I was hesitant but my baby was in pain. When I got back I arrived the same time as Dr. Corker who had gone to Pet Smart to get my dogs medicine. Treated her for something that wasn't even wrong with her. I will never send nor recommend that anyone send their pets there. And after the disgusting smell I would never board my dog there. On April 7, 2014, I took my 20-year-old cat (Melissa) in to see Dr. Corker because the cat was acting sluggish and not eating. In the preliminary exam, Dr. Corker picked up Melissa with one hand like he was picking up a sack of flour and practically threw her on a floor scale--there was no tenderness whatsoever. He said he would need to do blood work and gave me an estimate of $302 for the cost of the work that needed to be done. I left Melissa and came back 6 hours later. Dr. Corker called me back and started going over the data that he found. Half way through, he asked me if I was sure that my dog was 20 years old! I said the animal was a cat! He didn't even know who Melissa was. Then I was presented a bill for $406.65! I was also strongly encouraged to but very expensive food from the clinic. Before I left, I asked Dr. Corker how much longer Melissa might be expected to live. He said perhaps 6 months. The next day Melissa was twice as bad as she was before I took her to see Dr. Corker, so I called to see if they had given her some sort of sedative. Dr. Corker got on the phone, and once again he thought Melissa was a dog! He said I could bring her in for fluids, but I told him I couldn't afford to do that after paying $406.65 the previous day. I thought he might offer to do it for free, but he didn't. Two days later I had to put Melissa to sleep because she had deteriorated so rapidly and seemed to be in pain. I'm angry with the way Dr. Corker treated my companion of 20 years, and I'm angry because he did so many unnecessary tests on a cat that was obviously in the last stages of dying. And I'm angry with myself for taking Melissa to Dr. Corker's clinic. Dr. Corker needs to retire. He seems to be more interested in money than for the welfare of his patients! Read Less

Today I had to put my 14 year old dog to sleep. Not knowing if I would be able to drive all the way to Macon through my tears, I stopped at Corker Animal Hospital because they are just up the street from my house. Their charge for euthanizing a 40 pound dog was $80. My vet, Dr Griffin, at Griffins Animal Hospital charged $30. It made me remember why I chose Dr. Griffin when I moved to Warner Robins almost 20 years ago. A couple weeks ago my sister and I found a stray cat and I claimed her as my own. I took her here because they had the first available appointment (my sister has three other cats, therefore I wanted to get her tested ASAP to make sure she was okay to be around the others). The front desk lady and the nurse seemed lovely, but Corker did not meet my standards. He never looked at me when talking, nor did he hardly look at my cat which made me nervous considering he was giving her shots. I told others what they charged me and they were shocked by how overpriced it was. On the bill, it says, "kitten will need to be re-vaccinated every 3-4 weeks until 16 weeks of age." She is more like six months. We both left unsatisfied, so I am changing vets. Read Less
