I am very sad to have lost my maltese this last week. She was a year and a half old. Three visits, saw three different Drs. Got three different types of blood work done fo $300 in 3 days, to finally take the best 2 out of 3 and determine she has pancreatitus. They kept her 2 nights, and was doing a 3 day shot treatment, and the second day, I knew she was not going to make it. The Dr that saw us, on this third visit, wanted to throw 4 more perscriptions in her, along with the shot and more fluids. Lost her a couple hours after taking her home. Oh she also wanted to keep her for another night and give her morphine, NO she is going home with me. I have used this place for years, but this is the absolute LAST TIME! She suffered so bad and felt like they were wanting to just pump her full of meds, because they had them there and needed to sell them. Good luck sick babies.

We were kept waiting in the exam room for over an hour. The exam room had the hot water heater and a refrigerator in it and was barely big enough for my dog and us. We brought our dog in because he had been limping and we wanted it checked out. Two x-rays of his shoulder were taken and we were told there wasn't really anything wrong and to give pain relievers when he starts to limp. Just a few weeks later our dog was unable to walk on his own and was in severe pain. We took him to a different vet, they examined him thoroughly and took xrays. They found our dog had a one collapsed disc and two compressed discs in his neck and that is why he had been limping. They put him on a restricted activity regiment and pain relievers that target the type of issue he has. He now can move easily and without obvious discomfort.I wish the vet at Winterville did a more thorough exam of our dog, especially after we waited for over an hour for him to "get to us".

Compassion is the only word I can think of to begin to describe this place. I had to put my 13 year old Boston Terrier to sleep. I knew it was the right thing to do but I was visibly upset. They help me with this decision that I knew had to be made. They were professional caring and understanding. If I ever get another pet they will provide the medical care for that animal.

My wife and I have been with this vet for over 5 years now. The folks here are all so wonderful. Between our 3 cats, we saw every vet eventually, and each vet was very good with our cats and communicated with us clearly about treatment options. This was also the first vet we visited that didn't tell us to immediately put down our FIV+ cat when we first adopted him.
In early May 2018, we had to say goodbye to that same sweet kitty. Again, everyone was very kind to us and to our sweet boy in this hard time.
They are very busy nearly all the time, however, the people here work very hard to ensure all clients are well taken care of.

Every person my girlfriend and I met working there was so very nice and helpful. Check-in was fast and easy and the young lady that checked us in even helped us find a fitting harness for our tiny 8-week old "Chiweenie" puppy Blake.
After walking in without making an appointment, we only waited about 30 minutes, which flew by talking with the kind people waiting with you with their adorable pets.
When we were being seen, the veterinarian was very professional and kind. Our puppy weighed in at 3 pounds, and another veterinarian walked in and was so sweet. She treated Blake with some spray cheese while they gave him his first shot, which greatly startled him, but he forgave them quickly eating the cheese. They even trimmed his nails!
We have another appointment we happily made for our puppy later this month.

The staff at Winterville Animal Clinic is absolutely spectacular! They complete an entire head to toe on my pets and communicate what procedures/vaccinations they recommend ahead of time, so there is no surprise later. They treat my pets with care and affection and are always smiling when we come in for a check up. Dr Julie took great care with our 9 year old lab Mai, made her feel special and is well versed in current and upcoming veterinary medicine. This facility has won our hearts and will be our vet for life!

My dog had orthopedic surgery a little over three years ago and has battled a reoccurring infection at the surgery site ever since. After many failed treatment attempts, no answers, and a horrible visit at an emergency clinic this week, we ended up at Winterville Animal Clinic for the first time Wednesday. Within minutes of meeting Dr. Anna, we had an action plan and FINALLY some hope! I spoke with Dr. Groover this morning, and got Scout scheduled for surgery. The receptionists, the tech, both veterinarians, and everyone we have had contact with have been amazing. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

We have been taking our pets to Winterville Animal Clinic for several years. We have never had a complaint about any of the services. We have a pet there right now that needed surgery. There was another animal that came needed emergency surgery, but they didn't want mine to wait any longer, so, they stayed past their regular hours so my pet didn't have to wait another day. That doesn't happen much any more. They really care about their animals.

They aren't very personal and don't seem to remember me. At end of my time there they misdiagnosed my dog and told me there was nothing that could be done. I went somewhere else for another opinion (UGA vet school) and my dog is better than ever and going strong. Don't waste your money.

I love this vet clinic!! I have taken my 13 year old toy poodle, who is rescued and has some fear aggression issues, and the veterinarian and techs handled her with care and were able to get everything done without her getting upset and no one getting bit. I also own another rescue who has a fear of men and Dr.Groover treated her with kindness and patience and she didn't growl at him once!! I love Dr.Cole and Dr.Groover. I would recommend them to anyone. Dr.Brubaker is good too but isn't in as much. The ladies at the front desk are very sweet and make me feel welcomed everytime I walk in. The techs are also great and really friendly. Their prices are great and the vets and techs are knowledgeable. The down side is how busy they get sometimes, but that is a sign of a good business. It can get a little crazy in there. My main reason I didn't give a 5th star is they have one vet in there that has left a bad taste in my mouth because of every experience I've had with her. All in all, my dogs will never go anywhere else.

I am very sad to have lost my maltese this last week. She was a year and a half old. Three visits, saw three different Drs. Got three different types of blood work done fo $300 in 3 days, to finally take the best 2 out of 3 and determine she has pancreatitus. They kept her 2 nights, and was doing a 3 day shot treatment, and the second day, I knew she was not going to make it. The Dr that saw us, on this third visit, wanted to throw 4 more perscriptions in her, along with the shot and more fluids. Lost her a couple hours after taking her home. Oh she also wanted to keep her for another night and give her morphine, NO she is going home with me. I have used this place for years, but this is the absolute LAST TIME! She suffered so bad and felt like they were wanting to just pump her full of meds, because they had them there and needed to sell them. Good luck sick babies.

We were kept waiting in the exam room for over an hour. The exam room had the hot water heater and a refrigerator in it and was barely big enough for my dog and us. We brought our dog in because he had been limping and we wanted it checked out. Two x-rays of his shoulder were taken and we were told there wasn't really anything wrong and to give pain relievers when he starts to limp. Just a few weeks later our dog was unable to walk on his own and was in severe pain. We took him to a different vet, they examined him thoroughly and took xrays. They found our dog had a one collapsed disc and two compressed discs in his neck and that is why he had been limping. They put him on a restricted activity regiment and pain relievers that target the type of issue he has. He now can move easily and without obvious discomfort.I wish the vet at Winterville did a more thorough exam of our dog, especially after we waited for over an hour for him to "get to us".

They help me with this decision that I knew had to be made. They were professional caring and understanding. If I ever get another pet they will provide the medical care for that animal.

My wife and I have been with this vet for over 5 years now. The folks here are all so wonderful. Between our 3 cats, we saw every vet eventually, and each vet was very good with our cats and communicated with us clearly about treatment options. This was also the first vet we visited that didn't tell us to immediately put down our FIV+ cat when we first adopted him.
In early May 2018, we had to say goodbye to that same sweet kitty. Again, everyone was very kind to us and to our sweet boy in this hard time.
They are very busy nearly all the time, however, the people here work very hard to ensure all clients are well taken care of.

Every person my girlfriend and I met working there was so very nice and helpful. Check-in was fast and easy and the young lady that checked us in even helped us find a fitting harness for our tiny 8-week old "Chiweenie" puppy Blake.
After walking in without making an appointment, we only waited about 30 minutes, which flew by talking with the kind people waiting with you with their adorable pets.
When we were being seen, the veterinarian was very professional and kind. Our puppy weighed in at 3 pounds, and another veterinarian walked in and was so sweet. She treated Blake with some spray cheese while they gave him his first shot, which greatly startled him, but he forgave them quickly eating the cheese. They even trimmed his nails!
We have another appointment we happily made for our puppy later this month.

The staff at Winterville Animal Clinic is absolutely spectacular! They complete an entire head to toe on my pets and communicate what procedures/vaccinations they recommend ahead of time, so there is no surprise later. They treat my pets with care and affection and are always smiling when we come in for a check up. Dr Julie took great care with our 9 year old lab Mai, made her feel special and is well versed in current and upcoming veterinary medicine. This facility has won our hearts and will be our vet for life!

We are especially grateful for Dr. Julie and her concern and caring for our 4 month old puppy. Her quick response in his care literally could've been the difference in a life/death situation. Last night, my dog was attacked by another dog and I called in for emergency treatment and they saw me right away with no hesitation. Luckily the bites just needed some antiseptic and he just needed some medication. We were in and out quickly and they were so kind to my sweet boy, and I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for emergency treatment. I'm new to town and I think I just found my new routine clinic. :)

My dog had orthopedic surgery a little over three years ago and has battled a reoccurring infection at the surgery site ever since. After many failed treatment attempts, no answers, and a horrible visit at an emergency clinic this week, we ended up at Winterville Animal Clinic for the first time Wednesday. Within minutes of meeting Dr. Anna, we had an action plan and FINALLY some hope! I spoke with Dr. Groover this morning, and got Scout scheduled for surgery. The receptionists, the tech, both veterinarians, and everyone we have had contact with have been amazing. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

We have been taking our pets to Winterville Animal Clinic for several years. We have never had a complaint about any of the services. We have a pet there right now that needed surgery. There was another animal that came needed emergency surgery, but they didn't want mine to wait any longer, so, they stayed past their regular hours so my pet didn't have to wait another day. That doesn't happen much any more. They really care about their animals.

Took my dog here for 3 years off a reference from a friends family of the main attending vet. He was great but retired. Now there are new doctors in charge and attending. They aren't very personal and don't seem to remember me. At end of my time there they misdiagnosed my dog and told me there was nothing that could be done. I went somewhere else for another opinion (UGA vet school) and my dog is better than ever and going strong. Don't waste your money.

I love this vet clinic!! I have taken my 13 year old toy poodle, who is rescued and has some fear aggression issues, and the veterinarian and techs handled her with care and were able to get everything done without her getting upset and no one getting bit. I also own another rescue who has a fear of men and Dr.Groover treated her with kindness and patience and she didn't growl at him once!! I love Dr.Cole and Dr.Groover. I would recommend them to anyone. Dr.Brubaker is good too but isn't in as much. The ladies at the front desk are very sweet and make me feel welcomed everytime I walk in. The techs are also great and really friendly. Their prices are great and the vets and techs are knowledgeable. The down side is how busy they get sometimes, but that is a sign of a good business. It can get a little crazy in there. My main reason I didn't give a 5th star is they have one vet in there that has left a bad taste in my mouth because of every experience I've had with her. All in all, my dogs will never go anywhere else.
