I love this place and all of the staff. I have bringing my dogs here, usually to see Dr. Wanksy but I have seen Dr. Landau when she wasn't available.I have brought four different dogs here since I became a customer, two have since passed. When it was time for my Daisy to cross the Rainbow Bridge, everyone there was so compassionate and they sent us a sympathy card that had a hand written note from each staff member. It is never easy to let one of your furbabies go, but I could not have asked for a more kind and respectful team to support me through it.Dr. Wansky is great. She has caught health concerns with three of my dogs that other vets completely missed. Allatoona Animal Hospital is the sister vet to my normal vet a little further north in Waleska. When I asked Waleska for a referral for a groomer and they recommended Amy at Allatoona. My fur baby has been going for 5 months now.Amy is the best groomer! I drive 45 minutes from Waleska to take my shih tzu puppy to her. She is patient, doesn't mind a wiggly puppy and listens to what my requests are on her hair cuts.Most dogs fight going to the vet and immediately start shaking right as you walk in the door but not Kelsie. She is always happy to be there and happily greets anyone in the waiting room. Love the staff here!!! Very friendly and welcoming!! They sent us a sympathy card years ago when we had to have our Weimaraner put to sleep in Cobb county. Not sure how they found out but VERY much appreciated!!! We got a new puppy and didn't even have to think about where to take him!!! We tried other vets when we first moved down here. What can I say about these folks? My dogs have been going there for at least five years, and they treat them like family. They have often had to be boarded (sometimes extended boarding) due to family emergency or travel plans, but they always give them the same great level of care, keep me informed, and let me call and pester them for updates and with random questions. The docs are quick to respond and very caring, as is all of the staff. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. When I call in they right away know me and my dogs, which is so nice. About 3 weeks ago my mother had to put down her 16 year old dog, and it was a sad day for all of us with her, when we arrived at Allatoona Animal Hospital we were greeted by a VERY rude older women behind the desk who seemed unimpressed with our reasoning for showing up without an appointment. We were aware that without an appointment we would probably have to wait for service and we were totally understanding of it. Before, during, and after the appointment the women was completely inconsiderate of my mothers loss and continued to be rude to us. Everyone else we came into contact with was WONDERFUL which is why I'm giving this place 3 stars the doctor and all the other nurses/staff were so kind and understanding of our loss. I took my cat, Poptart, to Allatoona Animal Hospital after he had a urinary blockage. The vet and his staff truly cared about his condition and examined him as soon as we arrived. The exam room had a cat tree in the corner and towels on the exam table to help Poptart feel less anxious at their office. The examination and treatment plan were extremely thorough. Not far from where we live so that is convenient. I saw Dr. Wansky I believe, she came in to check on my new kitten and did great to walk me through the issue he had and possible options. And also Vanessa walked me through all I needed to know about having a kitten at home, super helpful with questions and helping with referrals for places I needed to take my cat to. My family loves Allatoona Animal Hospital. Now that I have found them, I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. I have had pets for 20 years. Dr Landau is hands down the most caring and compassionate veterinarian I have ever seen. I took my 1 year old blue pit, Kaiser, into Allatoona Animal Hospital not by choice, but by luck. They were the only vet able to see my baby boy on a busy Saturday afternoon. What I thought would be a fairly easy and normal vet visit would be turned into the possibility that I might not leave with baby. Dr. Landau diagnosed Kai with IMHA, immune mediated hemolytic anemia. We were told that Kaiser would most likely have to have a blood transfusion to survive. Since it was the weekend we had to bring Kaiser over to the Cherokee emergency vet to stay through the weekend until Monday. When we were checking Kai into the ER vet, Dr. Landau called them to make sure we made it and to discuss Kaiser's condition with them. Every day Dr. Landau called me personally to check in on not only how Kaiser was progressing, but also to make sure that my husband and I were ok and to make sure we didn't have any questions. He has continued to check in everyday with me since we were able to bring Kaiser home that following Monday and we have been continuing follow up check in's with Dr. Landau and the amazing staff at Allatoona Animal Hospital. The staff at A.A.H. has done nothing but welcome our family into their's and I know that they truly care about my Kaiser and his health. I even got a personal card in the mail today thanking me for entrusting them to care for my dog. How awesome is that?!? I knew that they would be my dog's forever vet as soon as I walked through their doors. I owe my sweet Kaiser's life to Dr. Landau and to all the AMAZING staff at A.A.H. They saw me as a person who loves their dog/child, not as a big dollar sign walking inside. Allatoona Animal Hospital always has the most friendly staff. I feel very comfortable having my pet treated here. However the pricing is somewhat high. I was quoted around $300 for vaccinations for my dog and ended up getting them for $180 at another animal hospital. The only negative I have is this, everything else is 100% positive! Read Less

Love it here! Staff are excellent. So easy to make appointments! Any time there is a problem with one of my animals, I always get right in to see the vet. They care for both of my French bulldogs and my cats. If they give your dog shots or you have a procedure done, you can leave your animal for the day so they can observe them if you need to go to work.Overnight boarding or day boarding is reasonable and I know my pet is in good hands. I have just recently moved into the Woodstock area, and found Dr. Smith, at the Allatoona Vet Hospital to be wonderful with my animals and very easy to talk with in general. Expensive, but the Vets are professional and great at what they do. Sometimes the wait is ridiculously long...I think maybe they should not schedule so many people at one time. Spending 4 hours at the vet gets really annoying for a routine check up. Read Less
