I've been taking my dog to kalihi pet clinic for about two maybe three years, yes parking is limited but it's worth the wait to find parking. Everyone that works here is extremely helpful and friendly, they love every animal that walks through the door like it's their own. My dog loves everyone there and isn't even nervous when she goes to the vet, because of how great everyone there is with the animals. If you want an amazing vet that doesn't charge you insane prices and will do everything to make sure your pet is healthy and happy, I completely recommend Kalihi pet clinic.

I came across an abandoned dog last night and brought him to Kalihi Pet Clinic. Jennifer at the front desk was amazing!!! She was so thoughtful and really went above and beyond to get us once to see the vet. We needed X-rays and a general health assessment to see what our options were. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who desires a professional and friendly company! They treated us so well and took care of the little angel I found!!! Thank you so much!!!!

The best Clinic and the best people you can hope for with helping with your fur babies <3. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have taken such good care of our babies throughout the years and saved our baby boy's life when he got very sick with an infection. They let us in on a holiday and took great care of him. (And what makes it so great, is that they don't charge you an arm and a leg for treatment). All the greatest things all the time. I will caution you that there is often a long wait, and if you have a cat, you may want to check in, and wait in your car where there are less noisy dogs as you might have to wait awhile. But,the place is so worth it!

We went to kalihi pets in a state of emergency when my dog had a stroke. The staff and the doctor there were very nice and understanding of my situation. My SHAKEY tryed to hang on with some medication they gave me. I took him to see them 3 times in one week and the doctor tryed his best with the option for my dog. Allowing us to understand the prices we would have to spend only to find out what's the problem when the problem may not be able to be fixed. So my family decided to allow the doctor to help us in putting him down. The doctor the nurses and the stuff made us very comfortable setting a beautiful Tone for my husband and I to say a final goodbye. They also help us with setting up the cremation and pick up time also giving us the option to pay then or later. I love this place and would recommend it to any pets lover.

Love Kalihi Pet Clinic! When we first moved here it was word of mouth that drew us into this clinic for our labradoodle three years ago. Even though we live windward, it's worth the drive into town and we've never switched since. The whole staff is super friendly and loving toward our fur baby, and I love that it's by walk-in; no appointments needed. We're always seen within 30 minutes, and visits are very affordable. I've never felt like unnecessary tests or procedures were ordered as I have at previous places - doc looks holistically at our dood and takes time to explain things. Will miss them when we move back to Mainland! Definitely recommend for others on Oahu looking for veterinary care.

The clinic was clean and the staff was friendly. Especially for a walk-in clinic, they exceeded my expectations for polite, prompt service and clean facilities. My dog unexpectantly freaked out and refused to enter the exam room so the nurses were super flexible and accommodating and gave her her shots and nail trim in the waiting room instead. Even after getting scared, my dog was able to be calm and happy with the sweet, gentle expertise with which the nurses handled her. Very satisfied, will return and recommend to others!
UPDATE: I had to bring my dog here again for surgery after she was attacked by loose dogs. They took such good care of her and the bill was about 1/4 of what I expected to pay! When the vet tech came to talk to me about her aftercare, my dog ran right up to her and rolled over for a belly rub, letting me know she had received lots of love while she was kept overnight. They even texted me pictures of her wounds for documentation and followed up the next day asking how she was doing. I love this place!

Since this is a walk-in clinic you may have to wait but the staff is friendly and efficient. Compared to my regular vet, Kalihi pet clinic's prices are cheaper for Interceptor & Advantage. It's well worth the wait if there happens to be a line, plus they have plenty of seating available.

Dr. Lau and his staff are wonderful. It's different than most because it's a ""walk-in"" clinic with no appointments (except surgeries). I found the staff very accomodating and sympathetic. I recently took my precious dog there for cremation and they couldn't have been kinder. I have three dogs and they all go there and are never nervous about seeing the Dr. He spends as much time as needed and is personable and knowledgeable.

Under NO circumstances should you bring a non-conventional pet to this clinic. We called ahead to find out whether they would be able to treat our sick rat, and both the receptionist and the vet insisted they were knowledgeable enough to treat him. This was obviously a lie, as the vet refused to perform some very basic procedures (saying only he ""couldn't recommend"" them, and not providing an explanation -- probably because the honest explanation would have been ""Because I don't know what I'm doing."") and prescribed an antibiotic that was completely inappropriate for treating our pet. Sadly, by the time we took our pet to a vet that actually knew what she was doing, it was too late. Had the staff here actually been honest and had the decency to refer us elsewhere or at least admit that they were unable to help us, our beloved pet might still be alive. I don't know how well they treat more conventional pets here, but based on their dishonesty alone, I would not recommend this vet to anyone.

I've been taking my dog to kalihi pet clinic for about two maybe three years, yes parking is limited but it's worth the wait to find parking. Everyone that works here is extremely helpful and friendly, they love every animal that walks through the door like it's their own. My dog loves everyone there and isn't even nervous when she goes to the vet, because of how great everyone there is with the animals. If you want an amazing vet that doesn't charge you insane prices and will do everything to make sure your pet is healthy and happy, I completely recommend Kalihi pet clinic.

I came across an abandoned dog last night and brought him to Kalihi Pet Clinic. Jennifer at the front desk was amazing!!! She was so thoughtful and really went above and beyond to get us once to see the vet. We needed X-rays and a general health assessment to see what our options were. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who desires a professional and friendly company! They treated us so well and took care of the little angel I found!!! Thank you so much!!!!

We have been going to Kalihi Pet Clinic for over 5 years. The service is excellent. Everyone is so caring. They really care about each pet. They are kind and gentle with the animals. My chihuahua Maltese mix is terrified of people but she loves and trusts the vets and staff at Kalihi pet clinic which says a lot . The prices are reasonable. I would never go anywhere else.

The best Clinic and the best people you can hope for with helping with your fur babies <3. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have taken such good care of our babies throughout the years and saved our baby boy's life when he got very sick with an infection. They let us in on a holiday and took great care of him. (And what makes it so great, is that they don't charge you an arm and a leg for treatment). All the greatest things all the time. I will caution you that there is often a long wait, and if you have a cat, you may want to check in, and wait in your car where there are less noisy dogs as you might have to wait awhile. But,the place is so worth it!

We went to kalihi pets in a state of emergency when my dog had a stroke. The staff and the doctor there were very nice and understanding of my situation. My SHAKEY tryed to hang on with some medication they gave me. I took him to see them 3 times in one week and the doctor tryed his best with the option for my dog. Allowing us to understand the prices we would have to spend only to find out what's the problem when the problem may not be able to be fixed. So my family decided to allow the doctor to help us in putting him down. The doctor the nurses and the stuff made us very comfortable setting a beautiful Tone for my husband and I to say a final goodbye. They also help us with setting up the cremation and pick up time also giving us the option to pay then or later. I love this place and would recommend it to any pets lover.

I've been going to Dr. Lau for 40+ years (retired), they have always been outstanding. Dr. Obara is a good replacement, very knowledgeable and caring! I highly recommend this clinic.

Now my children bring their pets to him and so do some of the friends we recommended. All are happy with their sevice but more importantly our pets feel safe with the doctors there.

Love Kalihi Pet Clinic! When we first moved here it was word of mouth that drew us into this clinic for our labradoodle three years ago. Even though we live windward, it's worth the drive into town and we've never switched since. The whole staff is super friendly and loving toward our fur baby, and I love that it's by walk-in; no appointments needed. We're always seen within 30 minutes, and visits are very affordable. I've never felt like unnecessary tests or procedures were ordered as I have at previous places - doc looks holistically at our dood and takes time to explain things. Will miss them when we move back to Mainland! Definitely recommend for others on Oahu looking for veterinary care.

The clinic was clean and the staff was friendly. Especially for a walk-in clinic, they exceeded my expectations for polite, prompt service and clean facilities. My dog unexpectantly freaked out and refused to enter the exam room so the nurses were super flexible and accommodating and gave her her shots and nail trim in the waiting room instead. Even after getting scared, my dog was able to be calm and happy with the sweet, gentle expertise with which the nurses handled her. Very satisfied, will return and recommend to others!
UPDATE: I had to bring my dog here again for surgery after she was attacked by loose dogs. They took such good care of her and the bill was about 1/4 of what I expected to pay! When the vet tech came to talk to me about her aftercare, my dog ran right up to her and rolled over for a belly rub, letting me know she had received lots of love while she was kept overnight. They even texted me pictures of her wounds for documentation and followed up the next day asking how she was doing. I love this place!

Since this is a walk-in clinic you may have to wait but the staff is friendly and efficient. Compared to my regular vet, Kalihi pet clinic's prices are cheaper for Interceptor & Advantage. It's well worth the wait if there happens to be a line, plus they have plenty of seating available.

Dr. Lau and his staff are wonderful. It's different than most because it's a ""walk-in"" clinic with no appointments (except surgeries). I found the staff very accomodating and sympathetic. I recently took my precious dog there for cremation and they couldn't have been kinder. I have three dogs and they all go there and are never nervous about seeing the Dr. He spends as much time as needed and is personable and knowledgeable.

Under NO circumstances should you bring a non-conventional pet to this clinic. We called ahead to find out whether they would be able to treat our sick rat, and both the receptionist and the vet insisted they were knowledgeable enough to treat him. This was obviously a lie, as the vet refused to perform some very basic procedures (saying only he ""couldn't recommend"" them, and not providing an explanation -- probably because the honest explanation would have been ""Because I don't know what I'm doing."") and prescribed an antibiotic that was completely inappropriate for treating our pet. Sadly, by the time we took our pet to a vet that actually knew what she was doing, it was too late. Had the staff here actually been honest and had the decency to refer us elsewhere or at least admit that they were unable to help us, our beloved pet might still be alive. I don't know how well they treat more conventional pets here, but based on their dishonesty alone, I would not recommend this vet to anyone.
