I love the staff, and Dr's Pegg & Pegg. I just hate the drive from Ewa :( which of course does not take anything away from the clinic. I was off island, they emailed me as well as called to keep my pup up to date on his preventative care. I of course didn't see any of those messages until I returned. I made an appointment right away (today for tomorrow). I love that they can get us in that quickly. I just wish they had an office on the West side hint hint :) Read Less

Its been a bumpy road with harley. not only my dog had parvo when he was a puppy, a couple months down the road he ate stuff he shouldve never ate. Between the doctors and the staff members they are great. I actually had a staff member who called me every day and helped me give harley his meds when he had parvo. He went into surgery to take out pieces of a handle of a shaver. Dr. Pegg did the surgery till late at night then harley stood overnight with them. Not only they called me and gave me update but they talked to my mom since she was worried about him. He fought off the parvo and everything went well with the surgery and hes still running around like a puppy today. Leaving island they helped me get my health certificate so i could bring harley home with me. I cant honestly thank you guys enough with keeping my pup alive this year. Read Less

Recently over the weekend, my dog was sick and really needed to be seen. With no appointment, dr. Erik told us to bring daisy in. They did fluids and watched her Saturday night. It really helped out since she didn't seem right. I can honestly say that this clinic has saved my dogs life. I would recommend this clinic. I took my dog Friday night to a clinic closer to my house but they basically said they couldn't do anything but kamaaina did a 360 with daisy. Now she is perfectly fine and running around! Read Less

Pathetic. Worst experience of any vet staff on island. If you care about your pets I would recommend seeking out other options. Lack experience (all staff), over charge, push only the food they carry, as well as recommend more frequent testing (more $for them). Read Less

Finally found a vet my Maltese is comfortable at. Doc Erik & Deanna are great. Patient and thorough. We are on the Kamaaina Plan so get regular checkups, boarding teeth cleaning etc. tried all the services and am pleased with all.Read Less

My kitty had an issue with her eye, and I didn't want to take her to the vet here on Hickam even if it was possible to get an appointment with them... I came across Kama'aina after doing a quick google search. It had such amazing reviews I had to give them a call. They have tons of availability and are totally flexible to work with you. Dr. Pegg and his staff are totally worth the 25 minutes drive from base. They were so thorough and gentle with our scared kitty and made sure to make appropriate calls for treatment without doing more than necessary. Plus, the military discount is extra nice. A friend referred us to Kama'Aina pet hospital when it was time to get our dog and two cats ready to fly back to the mainland. We ended up seeing them for two other small emergencies with our dog and they got us in super fast! First appointment with RuPaul they were almost an hour late but they were very friendly and I was compensated for them being late as I waited. Next appointment was how it should be (hence the 3 stars). However my last appointment was awful. I called to make an appointment and talk to a male (couldn't remember his name) scheduled me for Sunday at 0900. So I get to the clinic at 0845 rally up my cat and head to the door which was locked. Granted I'm 15 min early but the website says they open at 0700. Cool, so I head to my car and call the office which I was then told by a female that I have to wait in my car until 0900. What?!? As I hear dogs barking so alright. I'm just hanging out in the car. They call me back. Well to find out the male earlier scheduled me for Monday which I cannot do because I work. He also schedule another family in my slot for Monday. Apparently this family has a pet with the same name as my cat; Rupaul. This doesn't make any sense because I asked are you guys open on Sunday? and the guy, earlier who scheduled my appointment, said yes we are. It was a very clear conversation where we both were on the same page for sunday. However, this what the female said (Melanie might have been her name). I can also confirm the male got my cats name and my first and last name when I called and made the appointment. Anyway, so now I'm told I can wait awhile to have him seen. It looks as though I need to find a new vet. The veterinarians are super nice but their procedures are pretty awful. Just waiting on a call back to cancel my plan. A lot of other people have awesome reviews so maybe it was just me and my cat that was treated this way.Read Less

I am very picky when it comes to choosing a vet for out pups. The place the very clean, the staff was as nice as could be, Dr. Deanna Pegg went above and beyond giving us all the information we need for out male boxer. Excellent staff!! They actually take there time and not try to push you out of the door. My kitty, Yoshi, had got car sick on the way there and the staff offered to clean it out for me. This is by far the BEST office and staff I have dealt with since being on island!! I was able to call them and they fit me in the same day because my pup needed urgent care. They treated my dog like a little person. The price for an urgent care visit was less than what I paid on base for my dogs vaccinations and general check up!! Just picked up our two bunnies from having them boarded over the weekend while we were away.
