Kapalama Pet Hospital, Dr. Horita and his excellent staff have cared for my pets for more than 20 years. The compassionate and professional service they provide has assisted tremendously with the health and well being of my furry family members. The quality of life they ensure for my loving pets also affords me the peace of mind knowing that they will always receive the latest and most up to date medical practices. Dr. Horita and his staff are the best at what they do and I highly recommend their services.

Our 6 year old English Bulldog has been suffering from allergy like symptoms, which consisted of swollen paws and infected eyes with greenish discharge. Our previous vets couldn't figure out what was causing it. One vet put him on steroids as a temporary relief, medicated shampoo for the paws, and finally on Apoquel, but none of it showed any promising result. Another vet suspected the cause was from pink eye, and prescribed him eye drops but that didn't change anything either. We finally took him to Kapalama Pet Hospital based on Yelp reviews, and we're so glad we did! Although they were booked for the day, after explaining our dog's situation, they were kind enough to squeeze us in. Dr. Hirata asked us many questions and explained thoroughly what was happening, as well as going over the treatment plan. He didn't rush through it, but took the time to explain everything in details, and answered all our questions. It has now been 24 hours since our dog was examined, and we can already see a HUGE difference. The eye discharge has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY, the paws are no longer oozing, and the best part is he is back to moving around and playing with his toys! What a relief to see him happy and comfortable again. The entire team at the clinic is so kind and professional. The receptionist called me today to see how our dog was doing, and that we were keeping up with the treatment. Thank you to the wonderful team at Kapalama Pet Hospital!

We, especially Brandy 2 misses Dr. Hirata. He is one of Oahu's best of veterinarians. If anyone from his veterinary hospital sees this, would you have Brandy's records sent to Brandy's residence as everything was disintegrated by fire around 6 months ago. My apology to deviate as Dr. Gleason definitely is one of Oahu's finest. Only if the office was just a little larger...to continue..thankyou Dr. Hirata..

I only came here to spay my dog with the Neuter Now Certificate as they are a participating vet. Blue Cross Animal Hospital no longer participates...There's a small parking lot to the rear but there's...
I only came here to spay my dog with the Neuter Now Certificate as they are a participating vet. Blue Cross Animal Hospital no longer participates...There's a small parking lot to the rear but there's always a stall open. The facility is clean and booking an appointment was easy and they aren't too booked so I could find the perfect date and time to fit my schedule.The receptionists and doctor are friendly and helpful. The drop off was at 845am and she was ready to pick up with meds at 1145. Fast friendly service and no issues with the spay. There are additional fees for meds, etc. on top of your paid certificate.

There are no current reviews for this awesome office I felt I had to. I have visited now twice with our little dogter. The office is in town near A major shopping area easily accessible and they have their own parking lot too. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be using them for the foreseeable future as they have taken care of business and were very nice while doing it.

We love the staff. The best. Over dogs are comfortable and it isn't stressful on our three dogs. A Chihuahua, one mini dapple dachshund and another mini dachshund. They are amazing.

I had a large breed dog. Dr. Hirata was recommended by a friend and from my first visit I was impressed.. I have had many dogs and vets to go along with them.. I rate Dr. Hirata one of my best. The thing that impressed me the most was his obvious love of animals and that he would always, very patiently, answer all of my questions. My boy has passed but when I have some new paws in my house Dr. Hirata will be my vet..
PS I live on the North Shore and while it was a long drive, it was worth it.

The thing that impressed me the most was his obvious love of animals and that he would always, very patiently, answer all of my questions. My boy has passed but when I have some new paws in my house Dr. Hirata will be my vet. PS I live on the North Shore and while it was a long drive, it was worth it.

I am changing vets....although I can't dispute that the animals get good care, you must be willing to pay and pay and pay for it! My last two experiences trying to get simple heartworm medication for the dog and a routine vet exam for the cat cost me over $400. which included extensive bloodwork I did not authorize. Follow up care was a phone call where Vet suggested even more expensive tests on these healthy animals. Both animals had been seen for healthy checks 6 months prior. Even my own human children don't go for well baby checks more than once a year!

Dr. Hirata has been our pup's vet for almost 9 years now. He truely cares about his patients and their families and is dedicated to giving them the best care. He calls his patients owners quickly even if it is his day off or holiday's and is pleasant but serious when it comes down to what is best for his patient. He has excellent staff that are friendly and efficient. We can not say enough about his professionalism and caring.

Our 6 year old English Bulldog has been suffering from allergy like symptoms, which consisted of swollen paws and infected eyes with greenish discharge. Our previous vets couldn't figure out what was causing it.
