If your pet needs exercise or acupuncuture , the Surf Paws is your place. Stay away from this place if your pet is suffering from urinary blockage or a little more complicated ailment. After 1 1/2 day of torture and $1200 bill which covered lots of pain killers, sedation "in house renal profiles" and some duplicate charges I was told that the two vets have determined that there is no hope for the animal. Sure enough, two hours later the animal expired, breaking our hearts!

I took my dog in for cold laser treatment after he was diagnosed with issues with his lower back due to a disc being compressed. The staff at Surf Paws Animal Hospital were extremely friendly and professional, and Dr Miliaresis was so great with explaining why the laser treatment would be more beneficial than acupuncture (which they offer too) and my dog wasn't afraid during the visit. Highly recommend this vet clinic!

The bigger point to make is that I have ALWAYS been surprised at how reasonable the prices are ... I've never been hit with a bill that was higher than I thought it would be, and in many cases far less than I expected.
I rushed in once with my dog Buster having been injured at the dog park across the street and, after entering the lobby, I loudly exclaimed the one thing that you shouldn't..."I don't care how much it costs, please help my dog." It was an honest moment, but definitely not smooth.
I was bracing myself for a $3,000 bill, but instead I was thrilled when they presented a $400 bill, which included take home pain medication.
My dog couldn't tell me what was wrong, so I trusted the staff at Surf Paws to figure it out; they could have taken advantage of me and they didn't.
Choose Surf Paws as your pets veterinarian and you won't regret it ... not in the short term and not in the long term; not in the care provided, nor in the pocketbook.

We love Surf Paws!!!! I have 3 cats & 1 dog and everyone at the office knows each of them personally. The staff members feel more like family than employees to us & Dr. M has a true love & passion for all animals. You can see the compassion in her eyes when she's looking at your pet or holding them close to her. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else other than Surf Paws for those who treat their animals like one of the family and expect their vet to do the same. Thank you Surf Paws! I have been to all the vet clinics in Hawaii Kai and like this one the best. Clean, friendly, courteous, and always willing to answer my questions about care. My dogs love them. Their services cost about as much as any of the others in the area (all of which are expensive). The only drawback is that they don't offer after-hour emergency services at the clinic. But they are also one of the first to pioneer stem-cell therapy and also offer homeopathic options (which is why I chose them in the first place).
