There are only 2 good vets here. And 1 is leaving so there just doctor Dan. Staff is rude and not trained well. So my dog has seasonal allergies, and I worked out with my vet that I could just get refills as he needs it cause he's allergies come and go. So when i called for my refill they said My vet had left and since she approved it, i have to see another doctor and pay again to have him check. Total B.S then when I called to complain all of the sudden they were down to give me a free visit. Only after 4 days of stressing out going back and forth with 3 different people. My family has been coming here for over 20 years, but not anymore we will go elsewhere Read Less

Absolute TRASH. Would not cooperate at all when asked to have paperwork for pet travel filled out to airlines standards. Everyone we talked to Got insane attitudes when we explained the situation and expressed how urgent it was. We couldn't even get our pets permanent doctor on the phone. Only receptionists. The whole experience there has been awful. From initially checking them in and getting shots, vaccines and medical certificates to picking it all up to fly the pups home. Every time we called we would be on hold for at least 10-20 minutes PER QUESTION. Just a simple rabies shot appointment took nearly 4 hours and you might as well take out a loan if you plan to do anything there. Read Less

Unless Dr. D. Severson ever calls me as I have asked since around 2 yrs ago, I will be only telling the truth about my lack of knowledge and his deceptive advice and practices throughout the 11 yrs of my LOVING Brandy, whom died September 13, 2012 from mast cells tumors that had already metastasized after his 1st excision w/of using benadryl, no matter what stage it was graded as. An employee of Antech labs told me with Brandy one day, not everyone vaccinate again, but to do ........for protection. Titers for distemper, parvo, while relatively inexpensive, takes much more time than to just vaccinate in spite of the unseen or unknown side effects that can and will happen in the near or otherwise...future of the canine species, especially purebred as the Golden Retriever. Early spay research with goldens seen much more cancer, from lymphoma to master cell tumors, including hip displaysia. None of our vets here on Oahu will tell you this. But why is the Golden Retriever the most vulnerable to cancer? They're the number one breed for cancer, as Rhonda Hogan of the Golden Retriever Club of America is one of our researchers in cancer with goldens. Now, I have Brandy 2, as female at 3 yrs 3 months. My homeopathic veterinarian in Arizona said that she is really glad that Brandy is intact so that she can work with organs interdependent with each other. When deficiencies with sex hormones early in life is occurring, then they will lead to the possibility of endocrine issues, metabolic diseases, hip displasia, etc. Vaccinating when already protected will only compromise and already compromised immune system, prevalent with certain breeds as the Golden Retriever with absolutely no added benefit, only making your dogs, ILL...MORE TO COME.....YELP had Meyer account taken off because they can be bought. Yelp is really FOS and as I said, without any feedback from Kaneohe VCA where I have been going to around 20 yrs, I will continue to tell the truth of even more horror stories that I heard of from REAL people of Kaneohe, Kailua. We get around, remember that, Dr. Kari Moore, no threat, just facts. You know that a 2nd surgery should have never been discussed, yet you tell me that you've never regained my trust in the 2 yrs after I was banned for Dr. Severson 's blown up BS's. Mr. Severson dirtier my good name, my Dad's that we are proud of. He was one of the many brave young men that voluntarily went to Europe during WW2, being the most decorated regimen of it's size. So Mr. Severson, when you banned me, there were hard feelings, as I still had feelings for you but there were 2 times I seen you hiding behind partitions at your VCA. DAMN IT Brandy 2 suffers everything I get on this damn computer. Probably much, much more to say as I just talked with a marine with an English bulldog only 6 months old, and one of you vets , without consent, gave until the internal all borate Llama vaccine. He actually paid for it. Mind blower. Keokuk Kerr's report on the news about Jojo, killed by a playful lab but that doggy care establishment lied to the guardians on the mainland and you and your squad tried to cover it up. IT DIDN'T WORK, did it? You wanted to cremation done to eliminate evidence but guardians wanted their vet to look at Jojo......unreal, one of many many situations of deceptive practices by Kaneohe VCA. No time to ever call me? So, you think I am stupid? Who's in charge especially when that Jojo's death was being covered up by VCA, you people, more interested in $$$$$than the actual wellness of our best friends. I feel sorry for your lab, beautiful, but absolutely BORED and stressed as you had made my Brandy with meds, vaccines, and R/D, HILLS BS DIETS, Prescription? ?? Read Less

Do not go here! I recommended this place to a friend since I had heard good things from others and it was close to our home. Her 8 week old puppy was obviously very ill, couldn't walk, vomiting, couldn't eat, etc. and they hospitalized her and just kept treating for parvo even though their parvo test came back negative. She got worse and even though my friend repeatedly requested xrays and more extensive treatment because she was getting worse by the hour, they refused saying the antibiotics would get rid of whatever was making her ill. After 2 days of hospitalization and antibiotics, the beloved puppy passed away in their care. Why would a vet not, at the very least, do xrays or ultrasound to confirm there wasn't an intestinal blockage? Right before her passing, I called another pet hospital to get their opinion on treatment and they said the first thing they would do is a parvo test, then xrays. I was going to tell them to move her to the other hospital but she passed quickly :( I wished we pushed them harder to do more! Then again, isn't it THEIR job to properly treat the animals we bring in? We shouldn't have to tell them how to do their job. They were just so uncaring and nonchalant as she was very obviously dying. It's still unclear of exactly how she died but we are livid! These people should not be practicing medicine and I highly advise everyone to stay far away if you need actual medical treatment. If your pup just needs shots, I heard they were ok for that Read Less

Reception is very good at finding time on short notice or accommodating you, if you have a busy schedules.... That being said, My last three visits where very unpleasant and I will never go back!!! I took my puppy, Kai, in for a skin rash she had. While in the waiting room, Kai got nervous and threw up. I met with Dr. Nagaski that day. Doctor Nagasaki refused to treat her for the rash. She speculated on a few different things she may have, which only scared me even more. She treated Kai for the vomit and said kai was dehydrated. She gave kai IV fluids and convinced me kai needed an extra and heart-worm test. all test came back negative as expected! Anyways, $497.00 later, Kai was never treated for the rash she had. The following week i took kai to Kailua animal clinic. The visit cost about $50 and they prescribed antibiotics which costed $30. Two weeks later kai was cured. Im not saying kailua animal clinic is better than kaneohe vca. Im giving you my opinon that any vet is better than kaneohe vca. it is clear that they are only interested in making $$$ and running invasive unnecessary test to rack up your bill. Buyer Beware!Read Less
