I don't normally review places but I felt it was necessary to let everyone know how horrible my experience was at this vet. I will start off by saying that I brought my dog to this place twice and I now take her to the Mililani Mauka Vet, who made mine and my dogs experience a lot better. First, our dog broke her leg and I needed to take her somewhere that was immediately available and cheaper than an emergency vet. I heard that the Kapolei Vet Hospital had a military discount along with a first time visit discount and they were available to see my dog that day, so I went there. When I got there I found out I could only get the first visit discount and not add on the military discount. Then, at my second visit, I realized their military discount was only used for their vet fee and not the whole bill. This doesn't save you anything, it would have been so much more useful if it was applied to our whole bill, considering that it was very expensive. The military discount was only a small disappointment. After I brought my dog in, with her broken leg, they took her out of the room to be sedated, get x-rays, and get a splint. They gave me the option to take her somewhere else for surgery or to splint it for about 8 weeks, we chose to splint it since our dog is so small and surgery would be more risky for her. I later learned, at the Mililani Mauka Vet, that these breaks won't heal, 80% of the time, when only bandaged and surgery would have been recommended. In between my two visits to this vet, the bandage they applied FELL OFF and I had to take my dog to an emergency vet, since they weren't open at the time, so she could be rebandaged. Now, the second visit is where everything went wrong and started raising huge red flags for me. At this visit, my mom came to help with my daughter. We checked in, went into a room, and they immediately took my dog away to be rebandaged. (At both visits they NEVER let me see anything that they did to my dog) They later came into the room and told me my dog was IN PAIN and needed to be sedated. Then, 10 minutes AFTER they were supposed to sedate her, I heard my dog cry out in pain. My mom went to their room to ask if everything was okay, only to be rushed out and told not to go in there. She was very upset with their reaction and was expressing her feelings to me when the man at the front desk, who is actually the owner, comes in only to further argue with my mom. To me, this was the worst costumer service I have ever witnessed! Finally, they bring my dog back in and explained to me what they did for my dog. The woman then tried apologizing for my mom's behavior, and not her own, to which I replied that she could have handled the situation better and more calmly which she replied to with a big "No!" I paid my bill and left. Then, a week after I took my dog home, the bandage came off AGAIN!After this, I decided to go somewhere else so I made an appointment at the Mililani Mauka vet. This vet was amazing! They did everything in the room in front of me and without sedation! They even taught my husband and I how to reapply her bandages in case they fell off. I believe the Kapolei Vet sedated my dog, the second time, for their own convenience or financial gain because our dog did great without having to be sedated the week after. They also gave me no information about her break or anything. They just took her from us, did what they needed to, and gave her back. The other vet treated us like family and gave us information I didn't even know we needed! The only reason why this vet gets two stars, instead of one, is because their office is very clean and I didn't have to wait (probably because of their lack of customers). They treated us like we were an inconvenience, had horrible customer service, didn't give us any important info, and they did a horrible job giving my dog a splint. I will NEVER take my dog back to this vet. Read Less
