We got our dog about six months ago and started taking him here for his vaccinations. They have been really helpful and knowledgeable on everything. They care and do a great job explaining what medications my dog needs and why. They also have thought ahead to make sure I don't get pills that are not correct for his size, since he is growing like a weed. Absolutely love this place! I have previously been with 2 other vets, but always felt I was over paying. Sure enough, I go to Keola and was delightfully surprised to find a detailed bill with the prices for services and goods much more reasonably priced! An added plus is their online pharmacy!! Ke Ola Pet Hospital is the best on the island! The staff at Ke Ola Pet Hospital are always so welcoming and friendly. Dr. Yap and her technicians are always so pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient with my animals. They offer a variety of services for your cats, dogs, birds, or rodents! During my most recent visit, I brought my cat to see Dr. Yap so that we could address his obesity and put him on a weight loss plan. Dr. Yap and her staff were so helpful and knowledgable and created a special vet prescribed food diet for him. They also gave him his vaccines and flea medicine. They also have an online pharmacy program, which makes it super convenient when ordering prescription refills or flea treatment.We love Ke Ola Pet Hospital and we recommend them to all of our friends and family in search of a caring and knowledgeable veterinarian. We live all the way on the North Shore, and although their is a veterinarian close to us, we prefer to drive the extra distance because we know that our animals are well taken care for and appreciated at Ke Ola Pet Hospital with Dr. Yap and her friendly staff of veterinarian technicians. Our previous vet showed very little affection and concern, so we are so happy that we found Ke Ola Pet Hospital -- if only we found them sooner! Every staff member is an animal lover and it shows by the way they greet each patient that enters their doors! We've been taking our dogs to Dr. Yap for about a year now so this review is long overdue. Dr. Yap came highly recommended by a family friend who's pups are also patients and since we live in Mililani, it was much more convenient than staying with our overpriced vet in pearl city. They made our transitioning of medical records flawless and we didn't have to worry about a thing.Since day 1, Dr Yap's office has been friendly, caring and accommodating. Making appointments are a breeze and the business is nestled in a quiet building with plenty of parking (having my favorite Thai restaurant right next door is a huge plus!) Walking into the pet hospital you are immediately met with warm greetings and smiles, people who are genuinely happy to see you & treat your dogs like family. Dr Yap & the techs are amazing, they are patient and know exactly how to handle my pups, they love going to the vet! I've had a few times where I needed to take my girl in and didn't have an appointment, they were extremely accommodating  and I didn't have to wait all day to be seen, and they are also great with following up to see how your pup is doing. This place is a jem.  I've been taking my dog and cat here for a year now.  Dr Yap and the staff are genuinely caring.  They are always willing to help and give advice.  Prices are very fair.  I feel like this clinic really cares about your pets and not your money.  The only thing I wish was different is their hours - I can never take my pets after work.  Still 5 stars for excellent care of our furry family. I literally LOVE Ke Ola Pets! They are always so attentive and they really care about their pet patients and pet parents! They ALWAYS call after an appointment to see how your fur baby is doing and they never dust off concerns of parents worries (especially new pet parents). They answer all your questions even if they sound silly, you can call during their hours and they will give you all the advice in the world. They also don't give you whatever answer they think you want to hear when asked certain questions (i.e. insurance, food brands, etc). The vet techs are so caring and friendly, their customer service is off the charts! When I find strays or lost dogs I can always just stop by there to see if the pup has a microchip or anything wrong with them. You can tell that they really love what they do. I went to Ke Ola for the first time today on a referral from another vet who could not fit us into her schedule. Our puppy was limping badly and needed to see a vet right away. Weve been taking Lily to see Dr. Yap since she was at Waipahu. We followed her to the Mililani VCA and now to Ke Ola Pets because she makes our visits comfortable and non-stressful. She was patient when I had a 1,000 of question and called the next day to see how my pup was doing. I had an emergency with a miniature goat's labor and was searching frantically for a doctor who could assist.  Unfortunately, there are virtually no veterinarians who handle goats on my island and, the one I found who sometimes will assist, won't work with miniatures.At last, a friend spoke very highly of her recent experiences with the new Ke Ola Pet Hospital and recommended I try to see if Dr. Yap could help.From the moment I telephoned, Doty, Dr. Yap's assistant, handled my situation with comfort and competence.  She coordinated with a nearby clinic to obtain the test needed to ascertain if a c-section would be necessary while Dr. Yap researched the procedure and even telephoned her former instructor on the mainland to ensure she knew all that was necessary when dealing with this species (different medicines, for instance, were required and were obtained).The patience, thoroughness, compassion, competency and willingness to help on the part of Dr. Yap and her staff were truly amazing and I cannot thank them enough for all of their kindness.To any person seeking a veterinarian or thinking about trying a different one, I give Ke Ola Pet Hospital my unequivocal recommendation.
