Today is February 25...i took my pet there on Friday February 23 2018. Today my pet is worst than Friday after paying a little over 1000.00 I called them this morning to tell them my pet is worst...lathargic and salavia coming out of his mouth. They tell me well we don't have any open appointments so you would have to pay for emergency visit and probably my pet needs an ultra sound. Positive: 24/7; friendly; coffee, tea and water available Negatives: They only care about money. My animal was sick from not eating. $800, two useless tests and some useless advice later he's still sick and the only they could do is tell me to come back tomorrow if he's not feeling better for some more tests. I brought up the trembling my animal had and the vet wasn't concerned nor offered to run additional tests. Gotta get that $$$ for tomorrow I suppose. Btw there's an emergency fee of $100+ for no appointment. Stay away from Dr. Curtis Martin by far the worst vet I've seen in the island. Additionally, Their records management needs work. They called me while my animal is sick, about someone else's animal with no update on the results of my pets labs. Recommend the clinic in Waipahu or Honolulu for emergency services Read Less

My dogs throat was torn open and I was crying. We had zero money and it was 161 dollars just to be seen?! We were willing to pay but we had no money and we needed to be seen. We were hoping for a payment plan but they didn't offer any. We left with my dog still injured becuase they wouldn't see us without money. Absolutely the best possible experience for our dog. Our 50 lb lab mix required emergency surgery at 3am. The surgery happened almost instantaneously, and from that moment on they cared for her as if she were their own. She is an anxious dog so they allowed us to visit often and they used calming scents and cared gently for her. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and knowledgable. I have taken 3 of my cats to this facility and have worked with 4 different doctors and numerous aides and office staff and all of them have given terrific and efficient service. All of the doctors have treated me very well and have shown tremendous care for my cats. They saved the life of one of my cats who needed a blood transfusion and today she is fine. Dr. Zac was amazing. We were there in the middle of the night for an emergency visit. He was extremely informative and compassionate. His diagnosis for our dog has been spot on and she is doing great. He even personally follows up on future prescription refills...better bed side manner and follow through than our primary vet! Dr. Ho and our vet tech were very nice and knowledgeable with my two cats. We went in for a routine annual exam. It was our first visit with VCA and I was happy to use the first time free exam coupon. However, it took 45 min to check out. Rediculous. I made a comment that the wait was worth not coming back in the future. Shortly after I said that, one of the girls behind the counter said, "Is there anybody available to work on taking out the rubbish?" It was said very snide, so I think she was talking about me. They then proceeded to say other things like, "a little courtesy goes a long way." Soooooo professional. I had the self control not to be confrontational and call her out on it. It's too bad. I really liked Dr. Ho, but I will not be going back. The front office can stay catty and passive aggressive. They think they're cool like that.Read Less

Dr. Joy Lynn Yasuda-Tanigawa is our vet, and this 5 star rating is for her and the Client service member Brenda. Without them there is no way I'd still be using VCA. Choose your Doctors lightly, they work independently within the Hospital. Our vet does her prices fairly and is issues discounts where they should be. I don't feel I'm being raped like it when I have seen other vets at this VCA. Brenda has the customer service that I've see on this rock. She really needs a promotion for all she's done. Read Less

My wife and I have been bringing our dogs here since they were puppies. Although I've personally not liked how long we've had to wait before being presented with our bill, I attribute this to the amount of customers the facility services. Everyone looks very busy, but when dealing with us they have always been exceptionally kind and professional. I have noticed that the prices tend to run on the high side, but I'm not willing to go lower than 4 stars due to the quality of the staff. Read Less
