My family and I have been very happy with this vet. It feels like they truly care about our animals and I feel the pricing is fair. We have two dogs and two cats who have been seen by Zoe and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good family vet! We also just used the boarding part of the business and they did amazing. I did not worry about my animals one moment on vacation. I would also recommend using their boarding services if you are going away on a trip. I always use Blayney Vetenerian in Caldwell. But my cat stopped eating, I live in Boise and out of convience I took him here. They wanted to do a blood test and x-ray. I agreed. Couldnt find anything wrong, said maybe he has an infection, gave me some amoxicillin and a $444 dollar bill. But that did include a Radiologist fee of $60 (what?!) To read the xray. Said if he doesnt eat in a couple more days they will can run some more tests. Thank God! He started eating or I wouldnt be able to pay my mortgage! Read Less

All of the following is my opinion & to the best of my memory. My puppy-ish dog wasn't eating, drinking & diarea 2 days. My 1st & last visit. I was pretty sure that it was one of the long list of things most puppy/young dogs eat & shouldn't have. But is what makes a dog (who survives puppy-hood) have the renowned iron dog gut. I let them know i couldn't spend a ton of $, as I'm on a fixed income & have already spent over a $1000 for adoption, shots, toys, food, & destroyed things in my home. The vet asked me something like: if I would consider giving up my dog to ?a research lab? If she'd live! Somehow i still spent $ for vet, visit & xrays, I expected the visit/vet. But not hundreds of dollars with no fix of any kind that worked, except suggestion of thousands of dollars surgery. Ironically, my ex wife's treatment, Pepto Bismol and silver dollar sized pancakes solved the problem. I had given my pets' records to them, which included a "1 yr multi shot puppy booster", purchased from D & B Supply about $7.00. They contacted me a few weeks later to say I needed the "multi shot booster". I let the girl know they must have missed that shot on the records. She said something like: We don't acknowledge by owner shots or nasel drops. We don't know what the quality or storage, of those shots are, including the nasel drops for kennel cough. I was already probably not going to return after 1st visit. The follow up for a shot the dog already had, cinched it, looking for another vet. I just have to say this is the best vet I have ever had. The staff is so genuine, caring and kind hearted. I've been going here since I moved to Boise in 2006. When I had to put my older dog Boomer down a few month so ago, they were absolutely amazing. From the caring staff to all the time we wanted to spend with him after he passed, to the touching card signed by the whole staff to the laminated dog paw cards. Can't believe we have waited till an emergency to find out about this vet! Had to go to WestVet when dog was bleeding badly. They gave us an ENORMOUS estimate for the surgery. We had them put her on IV over night and called around in the morning and found the reviews here were worth calling and asking if they could handle the surgery. Not only could they handle it, but they worked her in THAT day, and at Reasonable in cost. A good rough estimate before we even brought her in, and a detailed estimate after examination. They took great care of our beloved pet, and they were really knowledgeable. Might not look special from the outside, but its what is on the INSIDE you will be impressed with. Check out this vet! Ada Animal Hospital is the best there is. My great danes wer born in doctor Loertchers hands in 2006. When I lost my boy in January 2014, they took care of him with dignity and respect. My girl will be 10 in July and they help me love her and keep her as healthy and happy as she can be. The staff is caring, considerate, knowledgeable, and gives the best care to all kinds of animals. I never feel like I am being "price gouged" here and all procedures and options, including prices, for my pets are always clearly and compassionately explained by whichever doctor is seeing my pet.
