Literally yelled at in the front office in front of the whole staff by Mike, for some time, and snidely put down...while I was trying to calm my dog as he was yelling.

Literally yelled at in the front office in front of the whole staff by Mike, for some time, and snidely put down...while I was trying to calm my dog as he was yelling.
Why the yelling? Because my dog growled at the tech. I did everything right - called ahead, came in first to let them know I had a fearful dog...had her muzzled to make things safe. The techs had no idea, how to approach a scared dog, and obviously neither does he. I realize it is difficult.
If they would have told me they are not able to deal with this, I would have understood and left.

They said that they cannot see my pets because they don’t know how to communicate with me. What’s so hard to understand that I was upset I brought my cat in to be treated was told he had a bite and no X-rays to be taken sent him home on antibiotics and a week later his condition got worse and I had to rush my cat to the humane society to find out that his arm was shattered and so I called and complained and to inform them about there miss diagnosis and I was upset and years later I am trying to trust them again and I get told that I’m not easy to communicate with. That’s utter nonsense I was very clear about my cats condition they screwed up and are taking it out on me and my pets once again! Never see them people! My cat had to have his arm amputated because of a bad doctor and a bunch of hot heads who won’t apologize or allow me to try to trust a vet office again. I would stay far away from this business if you want to be told the truth about your pets condition and if they make a mistake own it and apologize and let you re build up that relationship. Shame on you critter clinic!

Terrible. Over the past 10 months my father in law took his cat to the Critter Clinic because the cat wasn't eating and was losing weight dramatically. It was very obvious something was terribly wrong...
Terrible. Over the past 10 months my father in law took his cat to the Critter Clinic because the cat wasn't eating and was losing weight dramatically. It was very obvious something was terribly wrong. And every 3-4 weeks my father in law would take the cat in to be looked at and every time the Critter Clinic would adjust the cat's food or make some other trivial, meaningless adjustment then collect their fees, until the next visit. Today we took the cat to our family Veterinarian who x-rayed the cat (something that was never done at the Critter Clinic) and found a large mass next to the intestines. One additional test later we learned that the mass was cancer and that the cancer had spread. For ten months this sweet little cat suffered by going to the Critter Clinic. It is a very sad day today but thank you to the wonderful Veterinarian and staff at The Pet Doctor whose competence and compassion has meant the world to us.

Since the breeder we got our puppies from had used this clinic I decided to do the same. The staff was nice but didn't really seem sincere when attending to my puppies. The puppies got rabies vaccinations and wormer boosters. The lady that gave the shots told me my puppies could get a litany of side effects, one being diarrhea. Both puppies have diarrhea and can't even drink water without immediately vomiting. I've had many puppies in my life that have all gotten the same vaccinations and never have I seen this. I can't help but blame the clinic for over administrating excessive doses for puppies 4 months old. Before leaving I was talked to about spaying and neutering my pups and had to wait for the lady to work up 2 page quotes so I could see the cost. I never even asked for any of that. Overall, not much proof in any of my allegations but when you get a bad vibe on the first visit it can't be a good thing. I won't ever being going back.

Also worth noting they arent always trying to "upsell" you w unnecessary tests etc. They talk about them, but give an honest assessment to whether it "needs" to be done now or maybe somewhere down the road. I am so happy I found them.

We are new to the area and needed some dental work done on our dog. Our first visit to Critter Clinic was great. Our Dr. was a fill in for the full time vets employed here. She was super attentive and was great with our skidish dog. She was amazing and we thought we had found our new vet. She did the blood work and the initial exam to ensure our dog would be ok to have dental work completed. She said we could schedule a dental exam free of charge to get a quote on the work needed to make our dog feel better.We double checked to ensure that the exam was free. When we arrived the full time vet started doing another check up. I was confused so I didn't say anything. When she finished she took a 20 second look at our dog's teeth and gave us a quote between $600 and $1000. After getting over the sticker shock we collected our things to leave and on our way out they attempted to charge us a follow up visit fee. This clinic seems to be all about the $ and getting every last penny they can. We are super disappointed especially after being so happy with our first visit.We will not be going back and should have taken our uncle's recommendation of not giving them our business as he had a similar experience.

I'm new to area and it's hard to know who you can trust your animal children with, they were compassionate and my dog wagged his tail when I took him back to have the Cath removed, I would take him back there in a minute and would highly refer them. I cannot begin to tell you how impressed and thrilled I am with Critter Clinic.I adopted a cavalier dog a year ago. He needed his booster shots so I looked for the vet closest to me.Dr. Thresher spent about 20 mins discussing his behavioral issues with me. And she really listened! She didnt just rush us through. She gave me several options and we talked about pros/cons.Then his exam, she was thorough and gentle. For his shots she took him in the back, which I appreciate since one time several years ago I passed out in a different vets office when my dog yelped (yeah, so embarrassing)I am so very happy with my new vet-I recommend anyone with pets that they go here.Thanks Dr. Thresher! You're the best!

I've been taking my dog here for the last 5 years and they've been excellent. We actually came upon the Critter Clinic after we had just moved our family across town when our golden retriever escaped from the yard and was hit by a car. The nearest place we found was actually the Cat Doctor on Ustick - they refused to even look at him - so down the road a little ways we found the Critter Clinic and they took amazing care of him, gave us great directions and followed up with us in the days following. He's been a patient there ever since, plus they do a great job with grooming and reasonably priced.

I just moved from the Bench to this area. I came home from work to find my Lab cross had torn her eyelid open badly and had stress diarrhea all over the house. (It looked like she had torn her eye out at first.) I called Critter Clinic, said My dog has torn her eyelid open and youre the nearest vet! They let me turn up with no appointment, a dog covered in diarrhea, with a torn open eye, who promptly vomited all over their floor. They were nothing but kind and helpful in spite of the fact I wouldnt be able to pay until my paycheck cleared in a few days. They sedated her and got her cleaned and stitched up. Shes in her cone of shame now and has some healing ahead of her, but she kept the eye and is going to be just fine. Their prices were more than reasonable.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The staff were amazing where other vets would have outright turned me away. They even stayed past closing time so my wife could get there with the car to take our dog home! We will definitely be going back!
I don't write a lot of reviews, but I honestly felt compelled to make sure people know the value of this place!

One additional test later we learned that the mass was cancer and that the cancer had spread. For ten months this sweet little cat suffered by going to the Critter Clinic. It is a very sad day today but thank you to the wonderful Veterinarian and staff at The Pet Doctor whose competence and compassion has meant the world to us.

Since the breeder we got our puppies from had used this clinic I decided to do the same. The staff was nice but didn't really seem sincere when attending to my puppies. The puppies got rabies vaccinations and wormer boosters. The lady that gave the shots told me my puppies could get a litany of side effects, one being diarrhea. Both puppies have diarrhea and can't even drink water without immediately vomiting. I've had many puppies in my life that have all gotten the same vaccinations and never have I seen this. I can't help but blame the clinic for over administrating excessive doses for puppies 4 months old. Before leaving I was talked to about spaying and neutering my pups and had to wait for the lady to work up 2 page quotes so I could see the cost. I never even asked for any of that. Overall, not much proof in any of my allegations but when you get a bad vibe on the first visit it can't be a good thing. I won't ever being going back.

Also worth noting they arent always trying to "upsell" you w unnecessary tests etc. They talk about them, but give an honest assessment to whether it "needs" to be done now or maybe somewhere down the road. I am so happy I found them.

We are new to the area and needed some dental work done on our dog. Our first visit to Critter Clinic was great. Our Dr. was a fill in for the full time vets employed here. She was super attentive and was great with our skidish dog. She was amazing and we thought we had found our new vet. She did the blood work and the initial exam to ensure our dog would be ok to have dental work completed. She said we could schedule a dental exam free of charge to get a quote on the work needed to make our dog feel better.We double checked to ensure that the exam was free. When we arrived the full time vet started doing another check up. I was confused so I didn't say anything. When she finished she took a 20 second look at our dog's teeth and gave us a quote between $600 and $1000. After getting over the sticker shock we collected our things to leave and on our way out they attempted to charge us a follow up visit fee. This clinic seems to be all about the $ and getting every last penny they can. We are super disappointed especially after being so happy with our first visit.We will not be going back and should have taken our uncle's recommendation of not giving them our business as he had a similar experience.

I'm new to area and it's hard to know who you can trust your animal children with, they were compassionate and my dog wagged his tail when I took him back to have the Cath removed, I would take him back there in a minute and would highly refer them. I would like to thank the staff and Dr.'s for saving my Bubba.

I cannot begin to tell you how impressed and thrilled I am with Critter Clinic.I adopted a cavalier dog a year ago. He needed his booster shots so I looked for the vet closest to me.Dr. Thresher spent about 20 mins discussing his behavioral issues with me. And she really listened! She didnt just rush us through. She gave me several options and we talked about pros/cons.Then his exam, she was thorough and gentle. For his shots she took him in the back, which I appreciate since one time several years ago I passed out in a different vets office when my dog yelped (yeah, so embarrassing)I am so very happy with my new vet-I recommend anyone with pets that they go here.Thanks Dr. Thresher! You're the best!

I've been taking my dog here for the last 5 years and they've been excellent. We actually came upon the Critter Clinic after we had just moved our family across town when our golden retriever escaped from the yard and was hit by a car. The nearest place we found was actually the Cat Doctor on Ustick - they refused to even look at him - so down the road a little ways we found the Critter Clinic and they took amazing care of him, gave us great directions and followed up with us in the days following. He's been a patient there ever since, plus they do a great job with grooming and reasonably priced.

I just moved from the Bench to this area. I came home from work to find my Lab cross had torn her eyelid open badly and had stress diarrhea all over the house. (It looked like she had torn her eye out at first.) I called Critter Clinic, said My dog has torn her eyelid open and youre the nearest vet! They let me turn up with no appointment, a dog covered in diarrhea, with a torn open eye, who promptly vomited all over their floor. They were nothing but kind and helpful in spite of the fact I wouldnt be able to pay until my paycheck cleared in a few days. They sedated her and got her cleaned and stitched up. Shes in her cone of shame now and has some healing ahead of her, but she kept the eye and is going to be just fine. Their prices were more than reasonable.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The staff were amazing where other vets would have outright turned me away. They even stayed past closing time so my wife could get there with the car to take our dog home! We will definitely be going back!
I don't write a lot of reviews, but I honestly felt compelled to make sure people know the value of this place!

My hounds are my most precious possessions.They are taken to the Critter Clinic as soon as I acquire them and I have availed myself of all their services for my animals. I have had an ongoing relationship with the Critter Clinic for about ten years. The professionalism and care has been excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Mike and his staff.
