At a time that is so stressful learning that your dog is seriously ill, this Veterinary Clinic went above and beyond the Call of Duty to make sure that my dog was going to receive the best care available. From the receptionist to the doctors and everything in between they walked me through everything that needed to be done in a manner that made me feel confident that my dog was going to be all right. Their prices are more than fair, and not only that but when I brought it to their attention that they didn't charge me for the nail trimming or the shot of vitamin B they just told me not to worry about it. My dog went from being very sick and on his Deathbed to the very next day back up and running as if nothing ever happened. So in closing I'd like to say that if you want to be treated like you matter and that your dog matters you need to go to Lake City Pet Hospital. Because in that time of stress to be treated in any other way is unconscionable. One day last week I took my dog Sadie to Lake City pet hospital to get a couple tumors checked out she has one internally and one X ternal he the size of golf balls. As a veterinarian was looking her over and feeling around she said she would need to take fluid out of them so she could better see what we were looking at. She then asked if I would help hold her while they did this. So as I was hesitantly putting my arms around my dog with my eyes squinted tightly shut I was trying to tell her I couldn’t be in the room while they perform any kind of procedures. At that time the doctor was talking and I looked up to see her holding a violet fluid in her hand I was shocked to see that she was done before I even had my arms around my dog. My dog didn’t even flinch or make a sound whatsoever .The veterinarian was so quick and gentle I was so amazed. She definitely knows her stuff. I took Sadie to two other clinics in the past four months and especially as they are I knew nothing more when I left there than I did when I arrived. The doctors down to the whole staff were very caring helpful and hospitable. I will never take my animals anywhere else. Lake City pet hospital is hands-down the better clinic for the care of your pets. They were all very warm and caring. Dr. Talked to me personally after each procedure and explained it fully taking her time with me. Dr.Monica was always as positive as she could be but she also explained the other options. She did a thorough check up on my pet and showed me all the results as she explained each one. Monica and her staff are excellent in all regards.  We brought a very sick dog to them.  His problem, kidney infection, was quickly diagnosed and he was put on the right medications that essentially saved his life.  Thru the entire ordeal Monica was was extremely informative and sensitive to our costs.  All of her staff are just as good.  Would highly recommend them to anyone needing a veterinarian. Amazing place with amazing people. Mac was sick and it was 3:30 on their surgery day and the had me bring her in with the advisement that I might ha e to wait. Checked her over thoroughly advised me of possibilities, as we were traveling the next day. Asked me if the cost was ok, then gave a shot to get things started in therightdirrction, a bag of special food and pills to start after the injection wore off. Took our 9 month old puppy in to get fixed. We declined everything but the neuter. They called asking if I would ok the extraction of a baby tooth that wouldn't fall out on its own for an extra $13. An hour later they called and said he did well and they extracted 5 teeth. When we went to get our dog I told them I had done research and because he was still a puppy I didn't agree that 5 teeth needed extracted especially adamant about this because I have friends that work at vets offices and they will sometimes do it for no charge because it's so easy but he's still young enough they will still fall out on their own. After telling the receptionist I wasn't paying for something I didn't authorize especially at $13 a tooth we were told it would be taken off but we weren't welcome back. Fine with me! When we got home we realized we were also charged for a cone that we declined. My husband called and they told him I authorized this on the phone, a complete lie, and they thought we had just forgot it. Don't know how you forget something that isn't even set out on the counter or offered at all. I still have yet to see that credit on my card. If you can't question charges and the vet expects you to just pay for whatever they do authorized or not that's horrible business! Hands down the best Veterinarian I have ever met. She is amazing. She knows her stuff!!! Took my Oreo to her and now my Lil guy. If not for Dr. Amoreena Sijan my Lil guy would not be here today. We took him in so weak and sick that he could not even hold his head up. By the time we picked him up, he was like a different dog. She knew exactly what to do to help him. He was at deaths door & we realize we are fighting a loosing battle but, that was 8 months ago and he's still with us. Because of the excellent care he received, we've had a lot more time with him. I took my little 2 lb dog to them after a bad experience w my local vet. I stressed over 3 phone calls what i didnt want done and my concerns for my little girl. When the procedure was finished they did exactly what i told them not to do! Also the bill was over $100 more then what i was quoted and what i told them was my absolute max to spend and then they still demanded the money even though i told them up front how much i had and that i didnt have the difference. If i knew this was gonna happen i could have stayed home and received this poor of service and care for my animal. Unfortunately i will continue looking for a new vet for my animals. Read Less

They worked my dog in after a run in with a porcupine. Very friendly and helpful from the initial call through our checking out. I've taken two of my dogs here hendricks an missy and its by far the best place ive been to.. There prices are great the dr. always explains whats goin on and whats best for my dogs.. When my boxer Hendricks passed at 14 they let me hold him while he took his last breath and they let me sit with him for as long as I wanted they didnt try and rush me out.. missy goes to see them today and I wouldn't trust my dog with anyone else.. I also love how they will work with you with the bill an will go outta there way to get ahold of some really great rescues to help. I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of all 3 of my doggies!!!!! Everyone here loves and cares for my dogs as if they were their own. The staff are less than friendly and have been even rude. There has never been a smile or a friendly greeting. The woman at the front desk was very defensive when asked simple job-related questions. She then interrupted me (by yelling to me) when I was on my cell phone in the waiting area. I spoke to the Dr. about her behavior and noone apologized. After that occurrence that staff member no longer interacted with me. The Dr. appears to be naturally a quiet person. She does not offer explanations or detail for recommendations when presenting choices; however I don't want to ask a billion questions to determine the reasoning for recommended procedures. I would like a little bit of information before I make an expensive decision. Speaking of which. I obtained the dog's medications for the first month at Lake City Spay & Neuter. After that I went to Costco where it is less expensive. I told the Dr. about the difference in price but she didn't offer to decrease her price - saying it was competitive. (Costco is 50% less.) Dr. Sijan may(?) be competent but some of her staff (particularly one woman at front desk) are not. Dr. Sian won't stand up to her employees ...even when the health of her clients is at stake! A lot of people can graduate from a university. The graduates with good people skills should be in this business; the others need to be away from the public....in research labs. I REPEAT: I spoke to Dr. Sijan Face-to-Face about the treatment by the staff. Dr. Sijan DID NOTHING about it. Dr. Sijan DID NOTHING; she just stood there motionless. Dr. Sijan SAID NOTHING to me. Care room was small. The AC had gone out the day we were there. The Vet was flustered and annoyed by the amount of people I had with me and my dog. I'm sorry but I had just rescued/adopted an 80 lb boxer (who's deaf) I had the boxer rescue lady and my 3 kids with me. He had a pollup in his ear pop and he was bleeding, everywhere. The Vet could've shown compassion for our dog since he had finally been rescued. But she didn't. She lost our business after that visit. We won't go back. Read Less

They explain things clearly and took really great care if my animals after and during their spats and declawing. The microchip very affordable and the information received was really good to know. Dr. S is the best vet I've worked with since moving to Idaho several years ago. She's very proactive, compassionate & makes pains to follow up. I love that she has separate exam rooms so you don't have to sit out in the waiting room with your cat when a big dog comes in! (My last vet had his dog, a Great Dane, in the exam room with him & one of my cats was absolutely terrified & started to throw herself against the door of the cage, scraping her nose until it bled.) I had a scare with my cat Belinda last year (she was having seizures) and I felt like Dr. S gave her excellent care. She also was the only vet I've found in this area who intubates during dentals, which I find *very* reassuring. Highly recommend her! Read Less
