They got me in right away for my cat's limp. They said it's likely a sprain since she was reacting (go figure), but I had them give her all her vaccines while we were there. They waived the office visit fee and only charged me for the vaccines. How great is that?
They were great with my cat, and friendly to me. Answered my multitude of questions and gave good advice.
They definitely have my future business!

This review is long overdue. They saved my German Shepherd’s life several years ago when she got into a roommates 800mg bottle of Ibuprofen. She did it when we weren’t home and we had no idea how many she actually ate. Well, she wasn’t acting right (she was 1 yr old) when I got home. She just laid around and didn’t care I was there. Very unlike her. Then I found the pill bottle all chewed up. I took her in and she was in kidney failure:( They kept her for a full week and she was on IV fluids the entire time. I visited her daily and everyday she got better. I have never seen her fur so shiny and healthy by the end of that week! She was back to her same old self, but I was warned that she could have some permanent kidney damage and that would affect her later in life. She lived to be 10 years old-her kidneys failed at the very end. Best and smartest dog ever💗 Even though it was a while ago, I still appreciate everything they did. Ten years is a pretty average lifespan for German Shepherds too ❤️💗🐶❤️💗🐶

My mom took her dog in yesterday to have his ears checked for infection, they said they were fine. This morning they are green puss dripping out of them with a bad oder. How do you miss that. Will not give them any recommendation

Great place to take my children (pets - ha ha ). They get very good care, are soothed by being talked to - held - cuddled, etc. I have so far had to have about 3 animals put down and it is done with the very best of love and tender loving care -- are soothed with a soft voice and a no pain approach. I would recommend them highly.

The pretty much killed my cat, and of course, then their staff rudely tried to blame his condition on us, because they could not figure out that our Cat now has a blockage. They have mismanaged his diabetes, mismanaged his care, convincing us to go to a less expensive insulin, that is made for animal diabetes, and now he is probably going to die. Do you think you would pay $300 a month for a cats medication just to let them die? Their doctor, is almost always gone. She takes LOTS of Trips out of town! I'm done giving these fools our money, just to have our fur babies suffer? They have cost us a literal Fortune. I'd rather give it to someone that cares, because Sunset Animal Care...They don't!

My husband and I took our two dogs and cat here for many years. The doctors and staff always treated our babies with love and respect. Unfortunately We recently had to put our last baby Brandy to sleep. The staff and doctors we're also so loving to us. There is no doubt in our minds when we already to have another fur baby we will coming back to Sunset Animal Hospital. Hands down the best veterinarian hospital in town. Thank you guys for taking care of our babies for over 22 years.

I love them so much! They take great care of my fur babies. One of my dogs got sick I was new to the area and losing my mind scared I called a few other pets and no one could see him by the time I called them I was in tears they were also full but said bring him in we will keep him watch him and work on in between other appointments. No one else offered to help me. I was a wreck when I dropped him off they called me all throughout the day to give me updates and my Hunter was home that night feeling so much better. Best place ever.

I have been taking my pets to Sunset Animal Hospital for over 20 years. The staff is great and Dr. Giddings always provides the best care possible. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

If I could give them less stars, I would. The front staff is nice, vet techs were helpful as far as I could tell from our one and only visit. But we will never go back. I didn't have a chance to meet Dr. Hutton so I can't speak about a visit with him, but I can with Dr. Giddings....I repeat, I will never go back. I've sent several emails regarding a refund, Dr. Giddings missed the diagnosis I specifically asked her about and she said she didn't want to "intervene" but my dog could have died. Thankful for another competent vet in town who caught it the next day.

I've been going to Sunset Animal Hospital since 1993 when I moved to CdA from Massachusetts. At the time, I had 1 dog (Doberman mix) and 2 cats who have since passed of old age. Sunset has always treated my animals with kindness. Currently, I have have two dogs (a German Shepherd and a Pomchi) plus 1 cat. We continue to go there for excellent customer service. Over the years we have experienced 1 cancer surgery for my beautiful yellow Lab, 1 dog bite to a cat, spaying, and soon to be neutered dog. I appreciate them and know they do the very best for our animals. Thank you.

They got me in right away for my cat's limp. They said it's likely a sprain since she was reacting (go figure), but I had them give her all her vaccines while we were there. They waived the office visit fee and only charged me for the vaccines. How great is that?
They were great with my cat, and friendly to me. Answered my multitude of questions and gave good advice.

This review is long overdue. They saved my German Shepherd’s life several years ago when she got into a roommates 800mg bottle of Ibuprofen. She did it when we weren’t home and we had no idea how many she actually ate. Well, she wasn’t acting right (she was 1 yr old) when I got home. She just laid around and didn’t care I was there. Very unlike her. Then I found the pill bottle all chewed up. I took her in and she was in kidney failure:( They kept her for a full week and she was on IV fluids the entire time.
