Dan and Anne made a farm call Memorial Day morning to treat my 20 year old gelding. They were very timely and real professionals; their down to earth attitude and pleasant personalities sure took the edge off the situation without down-playing or minimizing the seriousness of it all. I hope I never need them again but I really take comfort in knowing that they are there if I do. I highly recommend their expert service without hesitation; they bring a great balance of good old-fashioned vet practices together with the modern medicine knowledge of animal care. I found my sweet mustache with labored breathing tonight, I called the on call phone and left a message about what's going on with my cat. He called me back with in 5 mins and met me at the facility at 9 pm. He is so kind and nice, even though my poor cat only has a 25% of surviving the night, he did all he could to help him. Dr. Dan is an amazing man. I will never go to another vet. He is an amazing man and I will recommend him over bad over.

My poor cat had an enlarged eye due to his mother cat kicking him when she was weaning him off. I called freaking out and worried for him on a Saturday evening and left a message. Within 30minutes lat...
My poor cat had an enlarged eye due to his mother cat kicking him when she was weaning him off. I called freaking out and worried for him on a Saturday evening and left a message. Within 30minutes later he called back and made an appointment. The surgery went well and my cat is happy and healthy. He recovered quickly and Dr. Dan was supportive through it all.

I drove all the way to Emmett from Boise because he handles emergencies, his reviews were great and because I didn't want to go to West Vet (which I think is an exploitative rip-off, and when a place is motivated by greed I also don't trust them.) He returned my emergency call FAST. He first tried to help me avoid a Sunday emergency visit by asking me to text him a photo of the problem. (Off to a good start!) Seeing the problem, he said I had better bring her right in and he cancelled his personal plans to help us. He had to perform surgery, did an outstanding job & genuinely cared about my pet. (HE IS A GREAT GUY!) Gave me his cell phone to use if I have any concerns. Be prepared for a no-frills utilitarian atmosphere- this is a country vet who treats both pets and farm animals. It wasn't *cheap* but it was very fair and Dr Dan is well worth the drive to Emmett.

I can not say enough great things about Dr. Dan. Finding a vet whom you trust not only with your fur baby, but also trust to not take you to the bank and cash out your life savings with costly procedures/tests/medications seems impossible... until you meet Dr. Dan. Unfortunately, I met Dr. Dan when my beloved dog decided to snack on an abundance of rat poison. Needless to say, I was a blubbering mess, but Dr. Dan met us at the door and saved the day... He has since become my vet, my brother's vet, my dad's vet, my colleague's vet... you get the picture. He truly is the best at what he does and I would not go to anybody else. Definitely worth the drive to Emmett. Another bonus? He makes emergency house calls at all hours, day or night (he had to fix my dad's horse's shoe). We can not thank Dr. Dan enough for the care he has provided our four legged family members!

Thank you to Dr. Dan and his staff for patching up my terrier mix, Gus. I called Dr. Dan's office at almost 8 PM, left a message and received a call back from Dr. Dan within 3 minutes. He was very informative while I was hysterically crying letting me know the emergency fee and my options to bring him in or how to keep him comfortable at home until office hours the next day to avoid the emergency fee. I left Gus with Dr. Dan and his staff feeling very confident that I left him in the best hands possible. Within a few hours I was picking Gus up and bringing him home knowing he received the best care possible. Animal Medical Center will forever be my 'go to' vet from now on. Thank you so much.

The women of the office were so sweet, in person as on the phone, calling a few times, prior. I didn't get to meet Dr. Dan, but reading previous reviews, I knew I was in great hands & they confirmed, he is who did the procedure! I was fortunate to have a voucher from SNIPs & get a phenomenal price! Was even more excited when her rabies shot, carried no sales tax! I'm 30 minutes away, but I will definitely return. Great Customer Service is where I'll continue to go & tell everyone about them! Thank you so much, Emmett Medical Center, Team! Thanks for taking such sweet care of my Katy!! =]

Pretty disappointed in the overall experience. Dr. Dan was great! If it wasnt for the office staff I would go back again and again. They were very caring in the handling of my 4 legged friend's last moments on earth. I even got a nice condolence card after. However, when I showed up for the devestating event, I had been quoted an incorrect price for services. I was already upset, they said they would send me a bill for the difference. Well...I never got a bill? I just thought they decided to waive the small amount due to the misquote and tragic circumstances attached. However, almost 5 months later I get my FIRST bill...with a $5 late charge assessed for every month it was late. In contacting the office, I was just told they send bills every month...not really their problem that I haven't gotten it but they would waive some (not all) of the late fees for the inconvenience. It does seem highly unlikely the post office lost all 5 bills. I called the minute I knew there was an issue...the response was ridiculous. I suppose I should have called them to find out why they didnt send me a bill 4 months ago. Hope they can fix their customer service issues because I sure love this vet and was hoping I had found a good alternative to All Creatures.

Our Little Boston terrier had a bad tooth that needed to be pulled. My husband is not much for doctors of any type, and he of course was the one home today to take her in. He was very impressed! Dr Dan allowed my husband and children (ages 6&7), to be in the room while he performed his procedure, talked over options, and genuinely listened to my families concern. The kids did not feel uncomfortable at all, and enjoyed his 2 personal dogs on staff! And of course the office ladies are fantastic! We will always recommend Dr Dan!

Had to take my grandma's 14 yr old cat to see if he needed to be put down. The team was welcoming and took the time to welcome us and the "patient". Dr Dan was calm, gentle, and honest. Even though the cat had to be put down Dr Dan made sure to treat him with respect and us as well. My grandmother has lived here and dealt with other vets, but she has decided to take her other animals to no one else now. We just moved a while back with our service cat and she already has a vet in Dr Dan. The team I'd wonderful and you will get nothing but care and respect from Dr Dan and his team. Whether cats or cattle Dr Dan is your man!

I went to Dr Dan for veterinary emergency, and I am so glad I did. I drove all the way to Emmett from Boise because he handles emergencies, his Google reviews were great and because I didn't want to go to West Vet (which I think is an exploitative rip-off, and when a place is motivated by greed I also don't trust them.) He returned my emergency call FAST. He first tried to help me avoid a Sunday emergency visit by asking me to text him a photo of the problem. (Off to a good start!) Seeing the problem, he said I had better bring her right in and he cancelled his personal plans to help us. He had to perform surgery, did an outstanding job & genuinely cared about my pet. (HE IS A GREAT GUY!) Gave me his cell phone to use if I have any concerns. Be prepared for a no-frills utilitarian atmosphere- this is a country vet who treats both pets and farm animals. It wasn't *cheap* but it was very fair. Dr Dan is well worth the drive to Emmett. (They are not officially open Sundays but they will make a special trip to the clinic to see you on off hours if need be. They also make local house calls for many of their clients.)

I can not say enough great things about Dr. Dan. Finding a vet whom you trust not only with your fur baby, but also trust to not take you to the bank and cash out your life savings with costly procedures/tests/medications seems impossible... until you meet Dr. Dan. Unfortunately, I met Dr. Dan when my beloved dog decided to snack on an abundance of rat poison. Needless to say, I was a blubbering mess, but Dr. Dan met us at the door and saved the day... He has since become my vet, my brother's vet, my dad's vet, my colleague's vet... you get the picture. He truly is the best at what he does and I would not go to anybody else. Definitely worth the drive to Emmett. Another bonus? He makes emergency house calls at all hours, day or night (he had to fix my dad's horse's shoe). We can not thank Dr. Dan enough for the care he has provided our four legged family members!

Thank you to Dr. Dan and his staff for patching up my terrier mix, Gus. I called Dr. Dan's office at almost 8 PM, left a message and received a call back from Dr. Dan within 3 minutes. He was very informative while I was hysterically crying letting me know the emergency fee and my options to bring him in or how to keep him comfortable at home until office hours the next day to avoid the emergency fee. I left Gus with Dr. Dan and his staff feeling very confident that I left him in the best hands possible. Within a few hours I was picking Gus up and bringing him home knowing he received the best care possible. Animal Medical Center will forever be my 'go to' vet from now on. Thank you so much.

The women of the office were so sweet, in person as on the phone, calling a few times, prior. I didn't get to meet Dr. Dan, but reading previous reviews, I knew I was in great hands & they confirmed, he is who did the procedure! I was fortunate to have a voucher from SNIPs & get a phenomenal price! Was even more excited when her rabies shot, carried no sales tax! I'm 30 minutes away, but I will definitely return. Great Customer Service is where I'll continue to go & tell everyone about them! Thank you so much, Emmett Medical Center, Team! Thanks for taking such sweet care of my Katy!! =]

Pretty disappointed in the overall experience. Dr. Dan was great! If it wasnt for the office staff I would go back again and again. They were very caring in the handling of my 4 legged friend's last moments on earth. I even got a nice condolence card after. However, when I showed up for the devestating event, I had been quoted an incorrect price for services. I was already upset, they said they would send me a bill for the difference. Well...I never got a bill? I just thought they decided to waive the small amount due to the misquote and tragic circumstances attached. However, almost 5 months later I get my FIRST bill...with a $5 late charge assessed for every month it was late. In contacting the office, I was just told they send bills every month...not really their problem that I haven't gotten it but they would waive some (not all) of the late fees for the inconvenience. It does seem highly unlikely the post office lost all 5 bills. I called the minute I knew there was an issue...the response was ridiculous. I suppose I should have called them to find out why they didnt send me a bill 4 months ago. Hope they can fix their customer service issues because I sure love this vet and was hoping I had found a good alternative to All Creatures.

Our Little Boston terrier had a bad tooth that needed to be pulled. My husband is not much for doctors of any type, and he of course was the one home today to take her in. He was very impressed! Dr Dan allowed my husband and children (ages 6&7), to be in the room while he performed his procedure, talked over options, and genuinely listened to my families concern. The kids did not feel uncomfortable at all, and enjoyed his 2 personal dogs on staff! And of course the office ladies are fantastic! We will always recommend Dr Dan!

Had to take my grandma's 14 yr old cat to see if he needed to be put down. The team was welcoming and took the time to welcome us and the "patient". Dr Dan was calm, gentle, and honest. Even though the cat had to be put down Dr Dan made sure to treat him with respect and us as well. My grandmother has lived here and dealt with other vets, but she has decided to take her other animals to no one else now. We just moved a while back with our service cat and she already has a vet in Dr Dan. The team I'd wonderful and you will get nothing but care and respect from Dr Dan and his team. Whether cats or cattle Dr Dan is your man!
