We adopt senior dogs and have seen our share of veterinarians from the east to west coast and a few in between.  Without a doubt, Dr. Erickson at Mountain View Veterinary clinic is the most thorough, honest and kindest veterinarian with which we've dealt.  He truly seems to care about our four-footed friends and spends the extra time each visit to help us explore treatment options and address all of our concerns.  Their service rates are very reasonable and we never feel like we're being pushed "bundle" packages or "guilt" treatments like many other vet clinics; especially the chain clinics.  We recommend Dr. Erickson and Mountain View Veterinary Clinic to anyone seeking quality vet care. Mountain View Vet was recommended to us by a friend whose dog is one of the most coddled and cherished pets I've ever seen, so I knew they must be good. And they are. Their office is always clean and efficient, their vet and assistants are top of the line. They clearly like animals, and treat each one with consideration. The cost is very reasonable.Going to the vet will never be a favorite activity for our cats, but the humans in the family feel better knowing that our fur friends are being well cared for by professionals. I have been through several vets in Coeur d'Alene and have been disappointed by the lack of knowledge and skill displayed by several of them. Dr. Erickson is a cut above them all, in my opinion, as are his staff! All of the staff are knowledgeable. The clinic is clean, well-decorated, modern, quiet and doesn't smell like a vet clinic. All of the staff have very calm demeanors. I brought my three cats in today for their annual exams, vaccinations, etc. Dr. Erickson was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and acted like he had all the time in the world. He answered all my questions, handled my cats gently but kept them comfortably under control and acted interested in my husband and I as people. He checked them over better than I have seen any vet check so far. My older cat will need several hundred dollars worth of dental work but the staff recommended a very easy and comfortable way of paying for the work. I feel very comfortable leaving my cats health in Dr. Erickson's hands and will definitely be recommending him and his clinic to everyone I meet!
