I’ll never go to another vet after my visit here. The staff is kind and caring. I had previously gone to another vet who just told me what was wrong with my dog would go away in a few months, but this vet was able to find out what was really wrong with her. She also very patiently explained to me what was going on, and answered all my questions. It’s also a very clean and welcoming environment. I could not have asked for a better experience for both me and my kitty, Jasmine. The staff was more than willing to accommodate when I could get Jaz there to see them. Liz was especially helpful in explaining what needed to be done, she got it done quickly, and my kitty and I were home within 20 minutes. I would not trust my pets with any other clinic. The compasion the staff and doctors show far exceed the norm. The staff truly goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure your pet has the bet possible care. Our German Shepherd mix was brought into our lives by being dropped off super thin and scared. He had separation anxiety like I've never seen and as a result was making himself sick and had other health issues. Another vet in town prescribed us some medication that was not effective and we had a poor experience with, so we decided to go to Dr. Bell. I wish we would have went here first. Not only did he get us some much more effective medicine, but he had wonderful bedside manner and offered other advice outside prescriptions and expensive procedures. Dr. Bodkin is the most skilled pet surgeon in North Idaho and he has saved several of my animals when I thought there was no hope. I have been a customer of Hayden Pet Medical Center for 10 years. I would never take my animals to any other vet. Dr. Bodkin is the best veterinarian around. He is not only highly skilled and professional, he is caring and compassionate as well. He is tells you like it is and helps you make the right decisions for your pet. The whole staff is friendly and treat their patients like family. I have also used their boarding services and highly recommend it. Also, the groomer is great. DO NOT GO TO THIS VET! Dr. Bodkin is a typical doctor who thinks he knows everything. Took my doberman there to get his ears cropped a couple months ago. He was very nice, until I had paid the bill. It was all down hill from there. I am sure much of his rudeness and pompous attitude stemmed from the fact that he knew I would not be seeking additional vet services, since I lived an hour and a half away. He actually did a very good job on the surgical procedure, but had no idea what he was doing after that. He filled my dog's ears full of glue and ignored the infection that developed do to his ridiculous method of posting my dog's ears. When one ear started to heal wrong, he told me to ignore it and it would not cause a problem. Well, my dog's ear now has a permanent hook where there should be a point. I later learned, from a doberman breeder of thirty years, the top stitches should have been taken out well before the bottom ones. The worst part of the whole situation was how rude he was when spewing his inaccurate knowledge about posting cropped ears. Horrible bedside manner and detestable person. Read Less

We have been withe HPMC for 8 years and have always felt taken care of and heard. Over the years we've had to put two family members (dogs) Waylon an Cash down and during it all we experienced nothing but, love , compassion and respect. I've only had one bad experience with a past doctor (it was not Dr, Cook, some other guy.. I don't remember) but otherwise I trust everyone there and would wholeheartedly recommend them.
